How does the No-Frost technology work?

No-frost freezers differ from static freezers. In static freezers, humidity from door openings and food causes frost build-up, requiring periodic manual defrosting.

In no-frost freezers, dry and cold air is blown homogeneously and evenly into the freezer compartment via a blower fan. This cold air circulates between the shelves, cooling food uniformly and preventing humidity build-up and freezing (frost). This offers ease of use, large capacity, and a stylish appearance.

How do I use the Display and Control Panel?

The control panel consists of:

1. Freezer temperature set button

2. Super freeze symbol (Super freeze LED)

3. Alarm symbol (Alarm LED)

4. Freezer adjusted temperature indicator (-16, -18, -20, -22, -24)

Freezer Temperature Set Button: Press this button to set the freezer temperature. It cycles through -16 °C, -18 °C, -20 °C, -22 °C, -24 °C, and Super Freeze mode. If you keep pressing, it restarts from the last value (-16 °C unless Super Freeze was selected).

Super Freeze Mode: Press the temperature set button until the Super Freeze symbol (snowflake icon) lights up. The Super Freeze LED will illuminate during this mode. Pressing the temperature set button again will cancel the mode and restore the setting from -16 °C.

How should I arrange food in the freezer?

The freezer compartment is marked with **** and is used for storing frozen food, freezing fresh food, and making ice cubes.

For freezing fresh food: wrap and seal it properly (packaging should be airtight and not leak). Special freezer bags, aluminum foil, polythene bags, and plastic containers are ideal.

Do not store fresh food next to already frozen food, as it can thaw the frozen food.

Before freezing fresh food, divide it into portions that can be consumed in one sitting.

Consume thawed frozen food within a short period after defrosting.

Never place warm food in the freezer compartment, as it will thaw the frozen food.

Always follow the manufacturer’s instructions on food packaging when storing frozen food.

If no information is provided, food should not be stored for more than 3 months from the purchase date.

When purchasing frozen food, ensure it has been stored under appropriate conditions and the packaging is not damaged.

Transport frozen food in appropriate containers and place it in the freezer as soon as possible.

Do not purchase frozen food if the packaging shows signs of humidity or abnormal swelling; it likely deteriorated due to unsuitable storage temperature.

Storage life depends on room temperature, thermostat setting, door opening frequency, food type, and transport time. Always follow packaging instructions and do not exceed the maximum storage life.

The fast freezing shelf (bottom drawer) offers greater freezing power for home cooking or other items needing quick freezing.

How do I use the maximum freezing capacity?

The maximum amount of fresh food (in kg) that can be frozen in 24 hours is indicated on the appliance label.

To reach maximum freezing capacity, activate Super Freeze (SF) mode 24 hours before placing fresh food into the freezer.

After placing fresh food in the freezer, 24 hours is generally sufficient for freezing. “Super Freeze” mode will automatically deactivate in 2-3 days to save energy.

How do I freeze a small amount of food (up to 3 kg)?

Place your food without touching already frozen food.

Activate the “Fast Freezing” mode (likely refers to Super Freeze mode).

You can place your food next to other frozen food after it is completely frozen (minimum 24 hours).

Do not re-freeze frozen food after it has thawed to avoid health issues like food poisoning.

Allow hot food to cool completely before placing it in the freezer.

When buying frozen food, ensure it was frozen at suitable temperatures and the packing is intact.

Why is the freezer door hard to open sometimes?

If you attempt to open the freezer door immediately after closing it, you might find it difficult. This is normal. A vacuum seal forms. Once equilibrium has been reached (wait about 1 minute), the door will open easily.

Are there any important notes regarding frozen food?

Never refreeze thawed frozen food.

The taste of some spices in cooked dishes (like anise, basilica, watercress, vinegar, assorted spices, ginger, garlic, onion, mustard, thyme, marjoram, black pepper) changes and can become strong when stored for long periods. Add only small amounts of spices to food before freezing, or add the desired spice after the food has thawed.

The storage time depends on the type of oil used. Suitable oils include margarine, calf fat, olive oil, and butter. Unsuitable oils are peanut oil and pig fat.

Food in liquid form should be frozen in plastic cups. Other food should be frozen in plastic folios or bags.

OR The product is plugged in for the first time or after a long-time power interruption (over 1 hour). Check if the door is open. Check if the product is working after 1 hour. If the door is not open and the product had worked for 1 hour, call service for assistance as soon as possible.

Also refer to the “High temperature alarm” section for flashing indicators during high temperature warnings.

What should I check if my freezer is not operating?

Check if:

There is power.

The plug is correctly placed in the socket.

The plug fuse or the mains fuse has blown.

The socket is faulty. Test this by plugging your freezer into a known working socket.

What should I check if my freezer performs poorly?

Check that:

You have not overloaded the appliance.

The freezer temperature is set to -16°C (or a colder setting if needed, like -18°C).

The doors are closed perfectly.

There is no dust on the condenser.

There is enough space at the rear and side walls.

Why is my freezer operating noisily?

Normal Noises:

Cracking (ice cracking) noise: Occurs during automatic defrosting or when the appliance material cools or warms (due to expansion).

Short cracking noise: Occurs when the thermostat switches the compressor on/off.

Motor noise: Indicates the compressor is operating normally. It might be slightly louder for a short time when first activated.

Bubbling noise and splash: Occurs due to the flow of refrigerant in the system tubes.

Water flowing noise: Occurs due to water flowing to the evaporation container during defrosting. This is normal.

Air blowing noise: Occurs in No-Frost freezers during normal operation due to air circulation.

Why are the edges of the freezer in contact with the door joint warm?

Especially during summer (warm seasons), the surfaces in contact with the door joint may become warmer during the operation of the compressor. This is normal.

What should I check if the door does not open or close properly?

Check if:

There is food or packaging preventing the door from closing.

The door joints (gaskets) are broken or torn.

Your freezer is on a level surface.

What are some important operational notes?

In case of a power failure, or if unplugged and plugged back in, the gas in the cooling system will destabilise, causing the compressor protective thermal element to open. Your freezer will start operating normally after 5 minutes.

If the appliance will not be used for a long period (e.g., holidays), disconnect the plug. Defrost and clean the freezer, leaving the door open to prevent mildew and odour.

If problems persist after following instructions, consult the nearest Authorised Service Centre.

This appliance is designed for domestic use and stated purposes only. It is not suitable for commercial or common use. Misuse may void the guarantee, and the manufacturer/dealer won’t be responsible for losses.

How can I save energy?

1. Install the appliance in a cool, well-ventilated room, away from direct sunlight and heat sources (radiator, oven). Use an insulating plate if necessary.

2. Allow warm food and drinks to cool before placing them inside.

3. Cover drinks or liquids inside. Uncovered items increase humidity, making the appliance use more energy. Covering preserves smell and taste.

4. Avoid keeping doors open for long periods or opening them too frequently, as warm air enters and causes the compressor to run often.

5. Ensure the door gasket is clean and pliable. Replace it if worn (if detachable). If not detachable, the door needs replacement.

6. Eco mode / default setting function preserves frozen foods while saving energy (usually -18°C setting).

7. The internal configuration that ensures the most efficient energy use is the one the appliance is delivered with (Frozen Compartment/Freezer).

8. Do not remove cold accumulators from the freezer basket (if present).

What do I need for a Side-by-Side installation?

If you are installing two cabinets side-by-side freely (not in a niche):
