Please read and understand the following safety instructions carefully before using your ECOVACS GOAT G1:

General Use:

• Read the instructions carefully and familiarize yourself with the controls and proper use of the appliance.

• Never allow children, persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or people unfamiliar with these instructions to use the machine.

• Avoid using the machine and its peripherals in bad weather, especially when there is a risk of lightning.

• Before each mowing session, check that all parts of the mower are functioning normally.

• Periodically inspect the mowing area and remove all stones, sticks, wires, bones, and other foreign objects.

• For machines used in public areas, place warning signs around the working area that state: “WARNING! Automatic lawnmower! Keep away from the machine! Supervise children!”

• Do not modify the mower yourself. Use only Ecovacs approved parts and accessories.

Operation Safety:

• NEVER allow children to touch the power supply unit, charging station, blades, battery compartment, or any parts with gaps such as the wheels.

• Never operate the machine with defective guards or shields, or without safety devices, or if the cord is damaged or worn.

• Keep away from the rotating blades! Do not put hands or feet under or near the rotating blades.

• Keep a safe distance from the mower when it is operating.

• Do not overreach. Keep your balance at all times, especially on slopes. Walk, never run while operating the machine.

• Never allow children to be in the vicinity or play with the machine when it is operating.

• Do not touch moving hazardous parts before they have come to a complete stop.

• If the SUPPLY CORD is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or a qualified person.

• Press the STOP Button at once if the mower makes an abnormal sound or raises an alarm.

• In case of electrolyte leakage, flush with water or a neutralizing agent, and seek medical help if it contacts the eyes.

Manual Controller Use:

• Always wear substantial footwear and long trousers.

• Mow only in daylight or in good artificial light.

• Avoid operating the machine in wet grass.

• Always be sure of your footing on slopes.

• Use extreme caution when reversing the machine towards you.

• Always switch on the motor with feet well away from the blade(s).

Electrical Safety:

• For recharging the battery, only use the detachable supply unit provided (CH2203).

• Do not connect a damaged cord to the supply or touch a damaged cord before it is disconnected.

• Connect the machine and/or its peripherals only to a supply circuit protected by a residual current device (RCD) with a tripping current of not more than 30 mA.

• Unplug the Power Supply from the power socket if the power cord or extension cable is damaged or entangled. Pull the plug body, not the cord.

• Please use the extension cable manufactured by ECOVACS.

Follow these steps to assemble and install the station for your ECOVACS GOAT G1:

1. Place the Station on an open and flat lawn with no slope or rock. Ensure there are no objects (like trees or houses) within 2 m on the left and right, and 2 m in front of the Station.

2. For best remote control and video guarding, place the Station in a location with a strong Wi-Fi signal and a broad view in front.

3. Make sure the grass around the Station is no longer than 6 cm, as overgrown grass can affect recharging.

4. Remove the sticker from the Base connector. Position the Base connector outward to prevent it from being squeezed.

5. Pull out the Power Interface on the Pile and stick it into its slot.

6. Insert the Pile into the Base until you hear a “click”.

7. Remove the Back Cover of the Pile. Insert the Base connector into the Pile connector until you hear a “click”. Gently place the cable into its slot and close the cover.

8. Fix the Station to the ground in the selected area using the provided Pegs and Hex Key.

Connect the Power Supply:

1. Align the notch (a) on one connector with the groove (b) on the other.

2. Screw the nut until the connectors are locked into each other. You can use the Extension Cable if needed.

Plug in and Charge:

1. Plug the Power Supply into a power outlet. The Indicator Light on the Station will turn solid blue if all connections are correct. If it is red, there is a connection issue. Keep the Power Supply at least 30 cm (12″) above the ground.

2. On the GOAT, remove the foam from the Signal Receiver. Pull the nut towards the head of the GOAT, lift the Signal Receiver up, and turn the nut clockwise to tighten. Remove the Panoramic Camera cover and place it in the Station’s Storage Box.

3. Place the ECOVACS GOAT G1 on the Station to charge. Ensure the charging contacts on the GOAT are completely connected to those on the Station.

Power On:

1. Open the Hatch on top of the ECOVACS GOAT G1.

2. Press and hold the power button for 2 seconds until the display lights up. Note that the GOAT will also power on automatically when it docks with the Station.

Set the Language:

1. Press the ▲ or ▼ buttons to select your preferred language.

2. Press the OK button to confirm your selection.

Set the PIN code:

There is no default PIN code. Follow these steps to set one:

1. Press ▲ or ▼ to choose a number (0-9).

2. Press OK or > to move to the next digit. Repeat for all four digits.

3. You can use < or > to go back and modify a number you have already set.

4. Note: Do not set the PIN code to “0000”. The display will show “Too simple, please reset!”.

5. Re-enter the PIN code you just created to confirm it. The display will show “PIN code OK!”. If the codes do not match, it will display “PIN codes do not match!”, and you will need to re-enter the PIN.

Before you start, ensure your mobile phone is connected to a Wi-Fi network and the 2.4GHz band wireless signal is enabled on your router.

1. Download ECOVACS HOME App

Download the app and complete the registration and login process.

2. Bluetooth Connection

• In the app, scan the QR Code on the GOAT or select GOAT manually.

• Turn on Bluetooth on your phone to connect to your GOAT. Ensure your phone is within the connectable distance (10 m).

• The Bluetooth symbol will light up on the GOAT’s display after a successful connection.

3. Wi-Fi Connection

• Make sure your GOAT and your phone are in the same router environment.

• Follow the instructions in the App to complete the connection (use a 2.4GHz network).

• The Wi-Fi symbol will light up on the GOAT’s display after a successful connection.

Your ECOVACS GOAT G1 can only be bound to one app account at a time. To bind it to a new account, you must first unbind it from the current one.

You can unbind your GOAT in the App. This operation will not erase working data like schedules. You can also cancel the account entirely in the App by navigating to Mine -> Settings -> Account and security -> Cancel Account -> Confirmation cancellation.

Assemble the Navigation Beacon:

1. Disassemble the Beacon by turning the upper Beacon counterclockwise.

2. Remove the protection materials inside and install the 3 included type D Dry Cells, paying attention to the correct positive and negative polarity.

3. Assemble the Beacon by turning the upper Beacon clockwise. You will hear a “beep” if it is correctly connected.

4. Insert the Beacon into the Navigation-assisted Pole by aligning the projections on the Beacon with the grooves on the pole.

5. Turn the Beacon clockwise until you hear a “click”.

Bind the Navigation Beacon to GOAT:

• Via the App, scan the QR code or input the passkey on the Navigation Beacon to add it. A “beep” will sound upon successful binding.

• During binding, keep the Beacon near the GOAT (within 1 m), do not lay it on the ground, do not hold the upper Beacon, and ensure the Signal Receiver on the GOAT is lifted up.

Install the Navigation Beacon (General Principles):

• The signal coverage radius of each Beacon is 45 m. Position them so their signal coverages overlap to cover the entire lawn.

• Keep the Beacon perpendicular to the ground (do not tilt over 10°).

• For best performance, install Beacons at the edge of the lawn. Keep them over 20 cm away from obstacles taller than 60 cm (e.g., metal objects, trees, shrubs).

• To improve signal coverage, keep Beacons over 5 m away from obstacles taller than 60 cm that are close to the center of the lawn. Ensure there are no obstacles between two Beacons.

• If the lawn is on a slope, ensure the Beacon is perpendicular to the ground.

The number of Navigation Beacons needed for your ECOVACS GOAT G1 depends on the size and shape of your lawn. The GOAT comes with 2 Beacons. You may need to purchase more for better signal coverage on larger or more complex lawns. Keep beacons away from trees, pools, and pet houses.

1. The lawn is on one side (Rectangular):

• Side length: ≤ 45 m (all sides) -> Needed: 2 Beacons

• Side length: 45-90 m (long side) -> Needed: 3 Beacons

2. L-shaped lawn:

• Side length: ≤ 45 m (all sides) -> Needed: 3 Beacons

• Side length: 45-90 m (long side) -> Needed: 4 Beacons

3. U-shaped lawn:

• Side length: ≤ 45 m (all sides) -> Needed: 4 Beacons

• Side length: 45-90 m (long side) -> Needed: 5 Beacons

4. O-shaped lawn (house in the middle):

• Side length: ≤ 45 m (all sides) -> Needed: 4 Beacons

• Side length: 45-90 m (long side) -> Needed: 5 Beacons

• With an obstacle higher than 60cm (e.g., fence): 5 Beacons for ≤ 45m sides, 6 Beacons for 45-90m long side.

5. Irregular-shaped lawn:

• Side length: ≤ 45 m (bottom short side) -> Needed: 6 Beacons

1. Before Mapping:

• Ensure your GOAT’s battery level is more than 50%.

• Build the map between 8 am and 6 pm for full sunlight.

• Make sure the Signal Receiver is lifted up and the Panoramic Camera cover is removed.

• Ensure your GOAT is correctly docked with the Station.

• If your lawn is split by a road less than 3 cm high, create a channel by driving the GOAT across it, keeping the two moving trajectories at least 1 m apart.

• If the road is higher than 3 cm, place a ramped object (wider than 1.5 m) to create the channel.

• Do not create the virtual boundary on a slope that exceeds 20%.

2. Map out the Virtual Boundary:

• Let the GOAT start from the Station and follow it within 6 m.

• If there is a height difference of more than 3 cm at the lawn edge, keep the GOAT at least 10 cm from the edge.

• Make sure that turning angles are greater than 90°.

• It is recommended to keep GOAT 30 cm away from dangerous areas like ponds or cliffs.

3. Return to the Station:

• When you control the GOAT back to near the Station, you will get a message in the App to complete the boundary setup.

• Control the GOAT to a place 0.5 m in front of the Station, facing the Station. Tap the “Home” icon in the App. The GOAT will automatically return to the Station to create a closed virtual boundary.

4. Set up No-Entry Zones:

• Follow the instructions in the App to create No-Entry Zones for areas you want to protect (e.g., flowerbeds, trampolines) or areas dangerous for the GOAT (e.g., raised tree roots, pools, slopes exceeding 45%).

• Control your GOAT to return to the Station after the setup is complete.

5. Map Learning:

• After setting boundaries, your GOAT needs to autonomously walk within the map to learn the layout. This can take from 20 minutes to 1 hour.

• After Map Learning, a complete map is generated, and you can access more functions like scheduling and mowing modes.

1. Press the back button (curved arrow) to return to the Main Screen.

2. Press > or < to select between "MOWING MODE", "SCHEDULE", or "SETTINGS". Press OK to enter a menu.

3. In a menu, use ▼ or ▲ to select an item. Press OK to start a detailed operation.

4. Press the back button to go back.

Start Mowing

• On the control panel, press the START button (▷), then press OK. The GOAT will start mowing.

• Alternatively, you can start mowing via the App.

• Note: For the first mow, ensure the grass has been cut to a height of no more than 10 cm with a manual lawnmower.

Pause Mowing

• Press the large STOP button on the GOAT or stop it via the App.

• For security, after STOP is pressed, the GOAT will be locked. You must enter your PIN code on the Control Panel before it can be started again.

Resume Mowing

• On the control panel, press the START button (▷), then press OK. Or, tap the “CONTINUE” button in the App.

• Note: You must enter your PIN code before resuming if the GOAT was lifted/tilted, the STOP button was pressed, or the GOAT was restarted.

Return to the Station

• Send the GOAT to the Station by pressing the HOME button (house icon) on the control panel or via the App.

The ECOVACS GOAT G1 is a smart robot lawn mower equipped with AI and several sensors to handle various scenes autonomously. Here are its key features:

Mowing Mode: You can switch between different mowing modes on the GOAT’s control panel or via the App.

Cutting Height: Before starting, ensure grass is no longer than 10 cm. The GOAT will then maintain the grass at a clipped height, adjustable down to 6 cm.

Programmed Cutting: The GOAT mows along an S-shaped path to achieve maximum efficiency.

Autonomous Recharging: When the battery is low, the GOAT will pause its task, return to the Station to charge, and then resume the unfinished task once fully charged.

Rain Sensor & Rain Delay: The GOAT has an IPX6 waterproof rating. The built-in Rain Sensor will detect rain, pause mowing, and return to the Station. By default, it will resume mowing 3 hours after the rain stops to allow the lawn to dry. You can change this delay time or inactivate the sensor via the App or control panel.

Animal Protection: To protect nocturnal animals, the GOAT will automatically stop mowing from 7 pm to 7 am the next day. You can inactivate this feature to mow at night if needed.

Smart Obstacle Avoidance: Equipped with a ToF Sensor and AI recognition, the GOAT can detect and avoid objects in advance. You can set the height of obstacles to be avoided in the App.

No Disposal of Grass Clippings: Daily mowing leaves short clippings that are scattered evenly on the lawn, acting as a natural fertilizer.

Safety and PIN Code Protection: The PIN code you set at startup prevents theft and unauthorized operation by children. If the GOAT is lifted or moved off the map, it will lock itself and sound an alarm. It can only be unlocked by entering the PIN code.

Video Guarding: Using the top Panoramic Camera and Front AI Camera, you can view your lawn remotely in real-time. With its AI human detection ability, the GOAT can issue a voice alarm and send an alert message to your phone when it detects humans entering your lawn.

WARNING: ALWAYS power off the GOAT before any operation. Always wear protective gloves when handling blades. Cover the Panoramic Camera and lay the Signal Receiver down before cleaning or replacing blades.

Regular Maintenance Schedule:

1. Replace the Blades:

• Power off GOAT, put on the panoramic camera cover and lay the signal receiver down.

• Gently turn the GOAT over on a soft surface.

• Loosen and remove the Screws and Blades with a screwdriver.

• Tighten the new Blades and Screws. Ensure the Blades can spin freely. Use only ECOVACS manufactured Blades and new screws.

2. Replace the Camera Brush (on Station):

• Pull the old Camera Brush out from the Station by grabbing the hook on it.

• Slide the new Camera Brush along the slot into the Station until you hear a “click”.

3. Replace the Dry Cells in Navigation Beacon:

• Turn the Beacon counterclockwise until the projection points at the unlock symbol and remove the Beacon from the pole.

• Disassemble the Beacon by turning the upper Beacon counterclockwise.

• Take out the old Dry Cells and replace them with new ones.

• Reassemble the Beacon following the assembly instructions.

4. Clean the GOAT:

• Power off and turn the GOAT over on a soft surface.

• Clean the Blade Disc and chassis with a brush. DO NOT use a high-pressure washer.

• Check that the Blade Disc and Blades can rotate freely.

• Clear mud from the Off-road and Front Wheels with a brush.

• Wipe other components with a clean, dry cloth. Avoid cleaning sprays or detergents.

5. Check the Navigation Beacon Regularly:

• If a Beacon’s tilt angle exceeds 10°, reinstall it firmly in its original position.

• If branches or tendrils are on the Beacon, clear them away to prevent signal interference.

GOAT:

• Power off your GOAT after it is fully charged.

• Clean it thoroughly.

• Store in a cool, well-ventilated, and dry place indoors.

Station:

• Unplug the Power Supply from the power socket and disconnect it from the Station.

• Store the Station and Power Supply in a cool, well-ventilated, and dry place away from direct sunlight.

• Note: It is necessary to put the Station back in its original position for the new season to avoid location faults.

Navigation Beacon:

• Turn the Beacon counterclockwise to remove it from the pole.

• Store the Beacon in a cool, well-ventilated, and dry place indoors.

• If not using the Beacon for a long time, remove the Dry Cells.

• Note: It is necessary to reinstall the Beacon in its original position to avoid location faults.

Transportation:

• It is recommended to use the original package to protect the GOAT during long-distance transport.

• Remember to power off your GOAT before carrying it and handle it gently.

• DO NOT pick up your GOAT while it is running or in the Station.

• To pick it up properly, hold the handle and the head at the same time, making sure the Blade Disc faces towards the ground.

Battery Management:

• For long-term storage, it is recommended to charge the GOAT every 6 months to prevent over-discharge.

• The battery CANNOT be charged when the ambient temperature is above 40°C (104°F) or below 5°C (41°F).

• The recommended operating temperature is 5-40°C (41-104°F).

• The storage temperature range is -20 to 75°C (-4 to 167°F).

• The battery is non-rechargeable. Do not dispose of a disused or faulted battery casually; check with your Local Authority for advice.
