When using and installing the DTROVISION PURELINK HDG-MINI, adhere to the following basic safety precautions:

Read and understand all instructions before using and installing this product.

The safety and operating instructions should be retained for future reference.

Always use the correct external power supply (indicated on the product label) when operating this unit.

Unplug this product from the wall outlet before cleaning. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosol cleaners. Use a damp cloth for cleaning.

Mishandling of this product may lead to a fire or explosion hazard.

Do not place any heavy objects or equipment on top of the product.

Keep away from wet, magnetic, and flammable surfaces or substances.

Air vents should be kept clean and unobstructed at all times.

Any external impact may cause damage to the operation of this unit.

Be sure this product is properly grounded (earthed) in order to prevent the risk of electrical shock.

Turn off and unplug power before adding or removing Input/Output Boards.

Input/Output Boards may be damaged when they are replaced with power turned on.

Use surge protectors and/or AC line conditioners when powering this product.

Only use a fuse(s) with the correct fuse rating in your enclosure.

Make sure the product is on or attached to a stable surface.

The DTROVISION PURELINK HDG-MINI includes the following features:

Built-in selectable 5 different test-pattern images: Cross-Hatch, Gray256, Gray16, Color Bar, and Color Gray.

Input signal analyzing capability: It can accept HDMI video source and extract basic information such as timing, video format, HDCP & 3D signal detection, color depth, and audio format.

Enhanced EDID management: Uses PureLink’s EDID library and emulation features for failsafe EDID capture & storage.

Extremely portable, robust and compact design: Handheld size and runs on AAA battery power.

HDCP Compliant.

Plug-N-Play.

Resolutions up to WUXGA 1920×1200 and HD 1080p @ 60Hz.

Please ensure to turn all your system off before applying any cable.

1. It can be operated by either AAA battery x 4 qty or external DC power plug.

2. Video source needs to be connected to RX side and monitor goes to TX side.

3. Turn on the switch on the DTROVISION PURELINK HDG-MINI.

Note: RX = HDMI input / TX = HDMI output

When the LCD display blinks or the back light is too dimmer than usual, please check your power connection or battery.

When you press the UP button, the DTROVISION PURELINK HDG-MINI will start retrieving information from the connected video source. You will see the following information:

RX: HV Resolution Info.

RX: HDMI or DVI Mode.

RX: HDCP On/Off.

RX: 8/10/12Bit Color Depth.

RX: RGB Mode / YCbCr444 / YCbCr422 Mode.

RX: 3D Mode On/Off.

RX: Audio Format => DSD / HBR / None PCM, Encoded / PCM

The extracted information can be used to determine whether the video source in use is compatible with the connected monitor.

When you press the DOWN button, the DTROVISION PURELINK HDG-MINI will start retrieving information from the connected display device. You will see the following information:

TX: HDCP Pass or Fail will display.

TX: EDID Read OK or NG will display.

TX: EDID Product Code will display.

TX: EDID Version will display.

TX: EDID Type (DVI or HDMI) will display.

TX: EDID Standard Timing will display.

TX: EDID Supported Color Depth will display.

Please note that EDID information will not display properly if an error occurs during EDID saving, or if a display device has broken EDID data. The best way to verify whether or not the issue is directly related to the DTROVISION PURELINK HDG-MINI is to either change the video cable or the monitor.

The DTROVISION PURELINK HDG-MINI provides an Auto EDID management system. There are two different ways to emulate the EDID:

1) External EDID: Copy and save EDID of connected monitor. It has the ability to capture the EDID of a connected monitor (via TX port) and transfer the data to other devices as needed.

2) Internal EDID: Select one from the pre-programmed EDID list below:

1. External EDID (TX EDID READ)

6. 1024×768 60Hz

7. 1280×768 60Hz

8. 1280×1024 60Hz

13. 1680×1050 60Hz

14. 1920×1200 60Hz

To test a monitor, set the timing first from the following list:

1. TEST OFF

2. 720x480p

3. 1280x720p

4. 1920x1080p

5. 1024×768

6. 1920×1200

Then select the pattern image from the following list:

1. CROSS HATCH

2. GRAY 256

3. GRAY 16

4. COLORBAR

5. COLOR GRAY64

The DTROVISION PURELINK HDG-MINI has the following additional functions:

1. HDCP off

2. HDCP On

3. HDCP Auto (only works when both I/O devices are connected)

“Snow display” occurs if a monitor in use isn’t compatible with the HDCP video source. A blank image or snow display will occur in this situation.

You can set the LCD backlight using the following options:

1. Set to On (Always on)

2. Set to 5 sec (will go off in 5 seconds)

3. Set to 10 sec (will go off in 10 seconds)

4. Set to Off (Always off)
