What safety instructions should be followed when handling the power supply?

Please adhere to the following safety instructions:

• Switch main power off before connecting or disconnecting the device. Risk of explosion!

• If the device is used in a manner not specified by the manufacturer, the protection provided by the equipment may be impaired.

• To ensure sufficient convection cooling, please refer to the instructions for sufficient clearance around the device.

• The external enclosure where the device will be installed shall meet the requirements for mechanical, electrical and fire protection.

• Note that the enclosure of the device can become very hot depending on the ambient temperature and the load of the power supply. Risk of burns!

• Always switch off main power before connecting or disconnecting a connector!

• Do not introduce any objects into the unit!

• A hazardous remaining voltage may exist for 5 minutes after disconnecting of all power sources.

• The power supplies are built-in units and must be installed in a cabinet or room (enclosed location and without condensation) which is relatively free of conductive contaminants.

• The label must be wiped with a dry cloth for cleaning.

• CAUTION: “FOR USE IN A CONTROLLED ENVIRONMENT”.

What are the main components of the device?

The device consists of the following components:

(1) Input terminal block connector

(2) Output terminal block connector

(3) DC voltage adjustment potentiometer

(4) DC OK LED (green)

(5) QR code for product link

(6) Universal mounting rail system

How do I mount and dismount the power supply on a DIN rail?

The power supply can be mounted on 35mm DIN rails in accordance with EN 60715. For Vertical Mounting, the device should be installed with the input terminal block facing downwards.

The device is delivered ready to install. Snap it on the DIN rail as follows:

1. Pull the latch of the device DOWN.

2. Tilt the unit slightly upwards, hook the top end onto the DIN rail and push downwards until it hits the stop.

3. Push the bottom of the unit against the rail until it snaps on.

4. Push the latch back into position to lock the unit on the rail.

5. To dismount, pull the latch of the DIN rail DOWN. Tilt the bottom part of the unit out. Push the unit up and pull it out from the DIN rail.

How do I connect the wiring to the terminal blocks?

The terminal block connectors allow for easy and fast wiring. You can use flexible (stranded wire) or solid cables with the following cross-sections:

Ref. to Fig. 1: Color Flexible / Solid Torque Strip-off length
(mm²) (AWG) (Kgf.cm) (lbf.in) (mm)
(1) Black (Anytek VI) 0.21 – 3.3 24 – 12 4.0 3.5 6 – 7
(2) Black (Anytek VI) 0.52 – 3.3 20 – 12 4.0 3.5 6 – 7

Please ensure that wires are fully inserted into the connecting terminals.

In accordance with IEC/EN/UL/CSA 62368-1 and IEC/EN/UL/CSA 61010-2-201, flexible cables require a ferrule. Use copper cables approved for 300 V, 105 °C or higher to meet UL requirements.

How do I make the input connection?

Use the L, N, and PE (protective earth) terminal on the input connector to establish the 100-240Vac connection.

The device has an internal fuse. The unit is tested and approved with a branch circuit protection device up to 20A.

The internal fuse must not be replaced by the user. In case of an internal defect, return the unit for inspection to the manufacturer.

How do I make the output connection?

Use the “+” and “-” screw connections to establish the 12Vdc, 24Vdc, or 48Vdc connection. The green DC OK LED indicates the proper function of the output.

Overvoltage protection < 18Vdc < 36Vdc < 68Vdc
Overload protection Yes Yes Yes
Short circuit protection Yes Yes Yes

How does the device behave during an overload or short circuit?

The device functions normally under operating line and load conditions. In the event of an overload (I > 105-150%), the output voltage will start to droop and hiccup until the overload has been removed. If the loads are in short-circuit, the secondary voltage will drop and hiccup until after the short-circuit has been removed.

What is the thermal behavior of the device?

If the output capacity is higher than recommended, the device will run into thermal protection by switching off. The output voltage will go into latch-off mode until the temperature of the components is lowered and the AC is recycled.
