The DELONGHI EW7707CBC radiator operates with the following electrical specifications: 120 V ~ 60 Hz and 1 500 W.

When using the DELONGHI EW7707CBC, basic precautions should always be taken to avoid the risk of fire, electric shock, and personal injury:

Read all instructions before using this heater.

If the radiator is equipped with a polythene tape used as a carry handle, remove it before connecting the appliance to the outlet.

The heater is hot when in use. To avoid burns, do not let bare skin touch hot surfaces. Use the handle when moving the heater.

Keep combustible materials, such as furniture, pillows, bedding, papers, clothes, and curtains at least 3 feet (0.9 m) from the front and top of the heater and keep them away from the sides and rear.

Extreme caution is necessary when the heater is used by or near children or invalids and whenever the heater is left operating and unattended.

Always unplug the heater when not in use.

Do not operate the heater with a damaged cord or plug, or after it malfunctions, has been dropped, or damaged in any manner. If the heater has leaked any oil, discontinue use immediately.

Do not use outdoors. This appliance is for household use only.

The heater is not intended for use in bathrooms, laundry areas, and similar indoor locations. Never locate the heater where it may fall into a bathtub or other water container.

Do not run the power cord under carpeting. Do not cover the cord with throw rugs, runners, or similar coverings. Do not route the cord under furniture or appliances. Arrange the cord away from traffic areas and where it will not be tripped over.

To disconnect the heater, turn controls to off, then remove the plug from the outlet.

Connect to properly polarized outlets only.

Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust opening as this may cause electric shock, fire, or damage.

To prevent a possible fire, do not block air intakes or exhaust in any manner. Do not use on soft surfaces, like a bed, where openings may become blocked.

Do not use in areas where gasoline, paint, or flammable liquids are used or stored, as the heater has hot and arcing or sparking parts inside.

To prevent overload and blown fuses, be sure that no other appliance is plugged into the same outlet (receptacle) or into another outlet wired into the same circuit.

Always plug heaters directly into a wall outlet/receptacle. Never use with an extension cord or relocatable power tap (outlet/power strip).

Make sure that no pieces of polystyrene or other packaging material have been left between the elements of the appliance. It may be necessary to pass over the appliance with a vacuum cleaner.

Do not cover the appliance while it is functioning in order to avoid overheating with the attendant risk of fire.

Step 1. Turn the radiator upside-down on a rug or a soft surface in order to prevent damaging the paint finish.

Step 2. Fully unfold the castors by turning them outwards.

Step 3. Turn the radiator back to its upright position.

CAUTION: Always operate the heater in an upright position only, with the wheels on the bottom and controls on top. Operating it in any other position could create a hazardous situation.

When switching on the appliance for the first time, allow it to run at full power for about two hours to get rid of the unpleasant smell. Ensure that the room in which the appliance is located is well ventilated during this operation. It is normal for the appliance to emit small cracking sounds when you turn it on for the first time.

For more economical use, the two switches may be used individually after the unit has reached the operating temperature:

Button in position «I»: This provides minimum power (800 Watts) and the indicator light will be on.

Button in position «II»: This provides intermediate power (700 Watts) and the indicator light will be on.

Both buttons in position «I» and «II»: This provides maximum power (1500 Watts) and both indicator lights will be on.

With pilot lights ON, the heater is ON.

Place the heater on the floor beneath the coldest window in the room, or any other location. The heater will reduce the effect of cold drafts. The heater should not be placed immediately below a power outlet. Do not use this radiator in rooms with a floor area of less than 43 square feet (4 sq. m.).

Step 1. Turn the thermostat clockwise to its maximum position.

Step 2. Push down both switches. The switch lights will stay on independently of the thermostat cycling.

Step 3. When the room reaches the desired temperature, turn the thermostat knob counter-clockwise very slowly and carefully until you hear a click.

This setting will allow the heater to maintain the current temperature by cycling on and off as required. Turning the thermostat counter-clockwise to smaller numbers decreases the temperature; turning it clockwise to greater numbers increases the temperature.

To use the Antifreeze function, turn the thermostat dial to the snowflake/asterisk position and push both switches on. The appliance will maintain a minimum room temperature of approximately 5°C, preventing freezing while conserving energy.

With both switches on and the COMFORTEMP button depressed, the appliance is automatically set to reach and maintain the suggested preset ideal energy-saving temperature. When operating in this mode, the half-circle green pilot light is on. To quit the COMFORTEMP function and return to manual operation, depress the COMFORTEMP button once again.

A safety device switches the heater off in the event of overheating. To restart the heater, you must contact a service center.

Always unplug the heater from the power outlet and allow the radiator to cool before performing maintenance.

Wipe the radiator with a soft damp cloth; do not use detergents and abrasives.

If the radiator will not be in use over a certain length of time, roll the cable around the holder and store the unit in a dry place.
