When using your DASHMATE DSH-1052, please observe the following precautions:

• Ensure you are using the Dash Camera within your country’s road laws. Familiarize yourself with local road legislation before use.

• Please set the time and date before using the device to record.

• The notifications given by the Dash Camera are suggestions only; please drive according to the actual road conditions.

• The system is for non-commercial use only, within the limits permitted by relevant laws.

• The results of GPS positioning are for reference only. The Dash Camera will lose GPS positioning abilities when the signal is blocked (e.g., driving through tunnels, enclosed car parks).

• GPS positioning accuracy can vary depending on weather and surroundings. GPS satellite signals cannot pass through most solid materials, and tinted windows may also affect the GPS signal.

• Values displayed, such as speed and position, may be affected by the surrounding environment.

• Avoid using the Dash Camera near devices that emit radio interference, like microwave ovens.

• It is normal for the Dash Camera to get warm during use.

• Avoid leaving your DASHMATE DSH-1052 in direct sunlight for extended periods in an unventilated space.

• Do not expose the device to liquids, excessive dust, or temperatures exceeding 60°C.

• Do not attempt to adjust the position or settings of the DASHMATE DSH-1052 while operating your vehicle.

• Always charge the DASHMATE DSH-1052 using the provided charger. Improper charging may result in failure of the internal battery.

• Never dismantle the Dash Camera or expose the internal battery.

• Do not dispose of the Dash Camera in fire.

• Dispose of the Dash Camera observing local regulations, being mindful of the internal battery.

• Do not attempt to replace or expose the internal battery.

• The DASHMATE DSH-1052 is designed to be constantly powered by the included DC Power Plug. The internal battery is designed to hold saved settings and power the camera in Park Mode, but it is NOT designed for primary use.

The DASHMATE DSH-1052 requires a Micro SD Card (Not Included) with the following specifications:

• UHS Class 3 or above.

• 32GB to 128GB storage capacity.

Please note: The Micro SD Card should be formatted before initial use.

Here are some important notes for installing your DASHMATE DSH-1052:

• It is advised that the Dash Cam is installed near the rear-view mirror, at the top center of the windshield for optimal operation.

• Make sure the lens is within the range of the windscreen wiper to ensure a clear view when it rains.

• Do not touch the lens with your fingers. Fingerprints left on the lens will result in unclear videos. If blurred, clean the lens gently with a microfibre cloth.

• Do not install the device on a tinted window, as this may damage the tint film and restrict the GPS signal.

• Ensure the installation position does not hinder or block your field of view or the GPS signal.

• Clean the windshield thoroughly, removing all dust and dirt particles before fixing the adhesive mount.

• Before permanently fixing the mount, power on the dash camera and test the playback image on the screen to ensure the position is best located to capture the maximum viewing area.

• Only remove the 3M tape for final installation when you are satisfied with the camera’s placement and image position.

NOTE: Mini USB Power (10) can be used as a second option to power the DVR, but not as a connector to transfer files to a PC. Please use Mini USB Power (5) for file transfers.

To insert a Micro SD Card:

With the DASHMATE DSH-1052 turned off and the screen facing you, insert your Micro SD Card (not included) into the slot on the right side with the text on the card facing away from you. Push the memory card in until a click is heard.

To remove a Micro SD Card:

Ensure the DASHMATE DSH-1052 is powered off. With your thumbnail, press the Micro SD Card in until a click is heard. The card will eject from the device when released. Be careful as the card may eject quickly.

Important Note: Do not remove or insert the memory card while the device is turned on, as this may damage the card or corrupt its stored data.

Please follow these steps to format the SD card. Note that all data previously stored on the SD card will be deleted.

1. Touch the stop recording icon on the screen.

2. Touch the settings icon to enter General Settings.

3. Scroll left and right using the arrow keys to find the format option.

4. Touch Format and confirm by pressing OK.

3. Scroll down to the date/time section.

4. Touch on date/time to select the menu. Edit the parameters using the up and down keys.

5. Touch OK to confirm and move to the next digit.

6. Touch the back arrow icon to save settings and return to the previous menu.

1. Clean the interior of your windscreen, ensuring the desired installation point is free of dust and does not obstruct the driver’s view. It is advised to install it in the center of the windscreen behind the rear view mirror.

2. OPTIONAL: Remove the protective layer from the provided Electrostatic film and place it on your windscreen. This helps to easily remove the 3M adhesive later without residue.

3. Remove the protective stickers from the Car DVR and the 3M mount.

4. Press the mount base firmly against the windscreen and hold for 30 seconds. Ensure the notch on the mount is facing the back of the DVR.

5. Insert the power cable adapter onto the dash camera power socket. Then insert the rear camera cable in the CAM port on the DVR.

1. Select a flat and centered location near the number plate lamp at the rear of the vehicle to mount the camera.

2. Attach tape to the camera’s bracket to hold it in position while installing. Drill two small holes: one for the first screw, and the second to run the reverse camera cable through.

3. Use a screwdriver to fix the first screw, leaving it loose enough to adjust the camera’s angle.

4. Insert the camera wire through the drilled hole, checking the installation position.

5. Mark the position for the second screw and drill a small hole for it.

6. Fix the second screw and securely tighten both screws.

After successfully installing and connecting the rear camera to the main DVR, both cameras will start recording instantaneously when the DVR is powered on. Both front and rear camera images will be displayed on the 3.0″ OLED Screen.

You can switch the display view between:

1. Full Front Camera view

2. Full Rear Camera view

3. Full Front with a small window for the Rear Camera

When your vehicle is in reverse gear, the display will automatically change to the Rear Camera view with Reversing Grid Lines to assist with parking.

Only use the included charger to power and charge the DASHMATE DSH-1052.

1. Once the DVR is securely installed on your windscreen, plug the DC Power Plug into your vehicle’s cigarette lighter.

2. Run the power cable along your vehicle’s console and windscreen. Plug the USB Micro end into the Car DVR and the USB A end into the DC Power Plug.

It is recommended that the Car DVR is installed behind your vehicle’s rear view mirror, and the camera view is not obstructed by any window tint or other objects.

• A Flashing red LED shows the camera’s internal battery is getting charged and it is recording.

• A Continuous red LED shows it is charging but not recording.

The DASHMATE DSH-1052 provides several real-time road safety alerts, which can be individually disabled in the settings menu. The alerts display your actual live speed, speed limit (if applicable), and distance to the alert.

• SPEED CAMERA ALERT: Alerts you of Speed and Red light cameras at your designated distance. The alert shows the speed limit, your current speed, and a countdown of the distance.

• BLACKSPOT ALERT: Alerts you before a high accident zone.

• SCHOOL ZONE ALERT: The timing for this alert can be changed in the settings.

• RAILWAY CROSSING ALERT: Gives you an alert before a railway crossing.

• CHECK SPEED ALERT: Helps you check the speed of your odometer and compare it with the alert.

The distance for alerts to start can be set to 100M, 200M, 300M, 400M, and 500M from the Setting Menu.

1. Start/Stop Recording: Touch the record icon to start or stop recording.

2. Photo: Touch the camera icon to make a snapshot.

3. Microphone: Touch the microphone icon to turn the microphone On/Off, which will mute/unmute audio on the recorded video.

4. Lock: Touch the lock icon to lock the current recording. The locked file will not be overwritten during loop recording.

5. Screen: Touch the screen icon to change the display mode from single to Picture-in-Picture (PIP).

6. Playback: Touch the play icon to go to the Playback Menu.

7. Settings: Touch the settings icon to go to the Setting Menu.

8. Time of recorded video: Displays the current recording duration.

9. Date: Displays the current date.

10. Time: Displays the current time.

11. Park Mode indicator: Shows if Park Mode is active.

12. G Sensor indicator: Shows the G-Sensor status.

13. Battery Charging indicator: Shows the battery charging status.

Touch the play icon in the Video Mode to enter the Play Back Menu. The menu options are:

1. Front locked and Parking mode videos: Access locked and Park Mode videos from the front camera.

2. Rear locked and Parking mode videos: Access locked and Park Mode videos from the rear camera.

3. Front normal videos: Access normal, unlocked videos from the front camera.

4. Rear normal videos: Access normal, unlocked videos from the rear camera.

5. Pictures/Snapshots: View saved photos.

6. Delete: Delete the selected file.

7. Lock/Unlock: Lock or unlock the selected file.

1. Touch the stop recording icon on the screen.

2. Touch the settings icon to enter the Setting Menu.

3. Press the side keys (arrows on screen) to scroll through the menu.

4. Touch on the setting you want to change.

5. Touching the icon multiple times will cycle through its options. A tick mark above indicates the active option.

6. Touch the back arrow key to return to the previous menu.

The inbuilt GPS unit records your vehicle’s speed and GPS location for playback alongside your footage. To view this data, you will need to use a specific player software designed for this purpose, which can be downloaded. To view images and videos, remove the Micro SD Card from the camera and transfer the files to your computer using a Micro SD Card slot or a compatible USB adapter. Once files are transferred, select the folder and file you wish to view or playback in the software.

1. Download the DSH-1052 App on your mobile device.

2. After installing the app, search for the WiFi connection named “DSH-1052-XXXX” (the last 4 digits are unique to each dash camera).

3. Connect to it on your mobile device by entering the password “12345678”.

4. Open the app and sync it with the DVR. This will allow you to access your videos and app settings.
