Here are some important notes for installing your DASHMATE DSH-1052:

• It is advised that the Dash Cam is installed near the rear-view mirror, at the top center of the windshield for optimal operation.

• Make sure the lens is within the range of the windscreen wiper to ensure a clear view when it rains.

• Do not touch the lens with your fingers. Fingerprints left on the lens will result in unclear videos. If blurred, clean the lens gently with a microfibre cloth.

• Do not install the device on a tinted window, as this may damage the tint film and restrict the GPS signal.

• Ensure the installation position does not hinder or block your field of view or the GPS signal.

• Clean the windshield thoroughly, removing all dust and dirt particles before fixing the adhesive mount.

• Before permanently fixing the mount, power on the dash camera and test the playback image on the screen to ensure the position is best located to capture the maximum viewing area.

• Only remove the 3M tape for final installation when you are satisfied with the camera’s placement and image position.

How do I insert or remove a Micro SD card on the DASHMATE DSH-1052?

To insert a Micro SD Card:

With the DASHMATE DSH-1052 turned off and the screen facing you, insert your Micro SD Card (not included) into the slot on the right side with the text on the card facing away from you. Push the memory card in until a click is heard.

To remove a Micro SD Card:

Ensure the DASHMATE DSH-1052 is powered off. With your thumbnail, press the Micro SD Card in until a click is heard. The card will eject from the device when released. Be careful as the card may eject quickly.

Important Note: Do not remove or insert the memory card while the device is turned on, as this may damage the card or corrupt its stored data.


How do I format the SD card on the DASHMATE DSH-1052?

Please follow these steps to format the SD card. Note that all data previously stored on the SD card will be deleted.

1. Touch the stop recording icon on the screen.

2. Touch the settings icon to enter General Settings.

2. OPTIONAL: Remove the protective layer from the provided Electrostatic film and place it on your windscreen. This helps to easily remove the 3M adhesive later without residue.

3. Remove the protective stickers from the Car DVR and the 3M mount.

4. Press the mount base firmly against the windscreen and hold for 30 seconds. Ensure the notch on the mount is facing the back of the DVR.

5. Insert the power cable adapter onto the dash camera power socket. Then insert the rear camera cable in the CAM port on the DVR.


How do I install the rear camera for the DASHMATE DSH-1052?

1. Select a flat and centered location near the number plate lamp at the rear of the vehicle to mount the camera.

2. Attach tape to the camera’s bracket to hold it in position while installing. Drill two small holes: one for the first screw, and the second to run the reverse camera cable through.

3. Use a screwdriver to fix the first screw, leaving it loose enough to adjust the camera’s angle.

4. Insert the camera wire through the drilled hole, checking the installation position.

5. Mark the position for the second screw and drill a small hole for it.

6. Fix the second screw and securely tighten both screws.


How does the rear camera on the DASHMATE DSH-1052 function?

After successfully installing and connecting the rear camera to the main DVR, both cameras will start recording instantaneously when the DVR is powered on. Both front and rear camera images will be displayed on the 3.0″ OLED Screen.

You can switch the display view between:

1. Full Front Camera view

2. Full Rear Camera view

3. Full Front with a small window for the Rear Camera

When your vehicle is in reverse gear, the display will automatically change to the Rear Camera view with Reversing Grid Lines to assist with parking.


How do I connect the DASHMATE DSH-1052 to power?

Only use the included charger to power and charge the DASHMATE DSH-1052.

1. Once the DVR is securely installed on your windscreen, plug the DC Power Plug into your vehicle’s cigarette lighter.

2. Run the power cable along your vehicle’s console and windscreen. Plug the USB Micro end into the Car DVR and the USB A end into the DC Power Plug.

It is recommended that the Car DVR is installed behind your vehicle’s rear view mirror, and the camera view is not obstructed by any window tint or other objects.

• A Flashing red LED shows the camera’s internal battery is getting charged and it is recording.

• A Continuous red LED shows it is charging but not recording.

BLACKSPOT ALERT: Alerts you before a high accident zone.

How can I view GPS footage from my DASHMATE DSH-1052 on a computer?

The inbuilt GPS unit records your vehicle’s speed and GPS location for playback alongside your footage. To view this data, you will need to use a specific player software designed for this purpose, which can be downloaded. To view images and videos, remove the Micro SD Card from the camera and transfer the files to your computer using a Micro SD Card slot or a compatible USB adapter. Once files are transferred, select the folder and file you wish to view or playback in the software.


How do I connect the DASHMATE DSH-1052 to my smartphone?

1. Download the DSH-1052 App on your mobile device.

2. After installing the app, search for the WiFi connection named “DSH-1052-XXXX” (the last 4 digits are unique to each dash camera).
