Do not use the forward-facing position until the child is older than 15 months and has reached a height of at least 76 cm.

Forward facing direction is only permitted for children exceeding an age of 15 months and a size of 76 cm.

Discontinue use if the child exceeds the maximum weight of 19 kg or height of 105 cm.

The CYBEX PLATINUM SIRONA TI is approved for use from 40–105 cm, maximum 19 kg.

If using the standard configuration (without extra inserts):

• 40–48 cm: Allowed in both rearward and forward-facing modes.
• 49–60 cm: Allowed only in rearward-facing mode.
• 61–105 cm: Allowed only in rearward-facing mode.

If using the newborn inlay (1) only (allows use from 49 cm height):

• 40–48 cm: Not allowed.
• 49–60 cm: Allowed only in rearward-facing mode.
• 61–105 cm: Not allowed in either direction.

If using the optional additional insert (2) combined with the newborn inlay (1):

• 40–48 cm: Allowed in both rearward and forward-facing modes.
• 49–60 cm: Allowed only in rearward-facing mode.
• 61–105 cm: Not allowed in either direction.

The optional additional insert (2) must be removed after the child exceeds a height of 48 cm.

To insert the optional additional insert (2) on the CYBEX PLATINUM SIRONA TI, follow these steps:

Step 1. Loosen the shoulder belts (17) and open the belt buckle (18).

Step 2. Move the headrest (13) into a higher position.

Step 3. Put the optional additional insert (2) onto the seating surface below the soft goods cover after flipping the cover to the front.

Step 4. Put the cover back and push it into the gap behind the optional additional insert (2).

Step 5. Adjust the headrest (13) to the lowest position. Make sure that it is guided behind the optional additional insert (2).

Step 6. Now place the newborn inlay (1), back into the car seat.

The optional additional insert must be removed after the child exceeds a height of 48 cm.

The optional additional insert must only be used in combination with the newborn inlay.

Always ensure that:

The backrests in the vehicle are locked in their upright position.

When installing the car seat on the front passenger seat, adjust the vehicle seat as far back as possible.

The Linear Side-impact Protection (L.S.P.) (4) folds out automatically when taking out the car seat from the packaging.

Check that the Linear Side-impact Protection (L.S.P.) facing the vehicle door is fully folded out before starting your drive.

Step 1. Fold out the load leg (5) until it locks into its foremost position.

Step 2. Release the ISOFIX-Release buttons (6) to extend the ISOFIX-Locking arms (7) on both sides. Note that both ISOFIX-Release buttons can be released independently, allowing the ISOFIX-Locking arms to be adjusted independently.

Step 3. Push the ISOFIX-Locking arms (7) out of the car seat to their furthest extent.

Step 4. Place the car seat on an appropriate seat in the vehicle.

Step 5. Push the ISOFIX-Locking arms (7) into the ISOFIX-Anchorage points (8) until these lock into place with an audible “CLICK”. The two ISOFIX-Indicators (9) will switch from RED to GREEN.

Step 6. Ensure the car seat is secure by trying to pull it out of the ISOFIX Anchorage points (8).

Step 7. Push the car seat towards the backrest of the vehicle seat until it is fully aligned with the backrest. Moving the car seat from side to side will also brace it against the vehicle backrest.

Step 8. Press the load leg adjustment button (10) and extend the load leg until it touches the vehicle floor.

Step 9. The load leg indicator (11) switches to GREEN when the load leg (5) is correctly positioned on the vehicle floor.

Step 10. Pull the load leg (5) out to the next locking position to ensure optimal force transmission.

Step 1. Fold out the load leg (5) until it locks into its foremost position.

Step 2. Press the load leg adjustment button (10) and extend the load leg until it touches the vehicle floor.

Step 3. Pull the load leg (5) out to the next locking position to ensure optimal force transmission.

The load leg must always make direct contact with the floor of the vehicle. If your vehicle has storage compartments in the footwell, be sure to contact the vehicle manufacturer to ensure the floor of the car can support the load leg.

Do not put any objects in the foot area in front of the car seat!

Step 1. Tighten the lap belts (20) and then pull on the central adjustment belt (21) to tighten the shoulder belts (17) until they rest snug against your child’s body.

The harness should be fitted tight enough so that it is not possible to put a fold in any of the straps.

To fold in the Linear Side-impact Protection (L.S.P.) (4), proceed as follows:

Step 1. Pull the headrest (13) into its uppermost position and fold the headrest cover upwards to reveal the L.S.P. locking button (23).

Step 2. Close the Linear Side-impact Protection (L.S.P.) (4) and keep it pressed down. Push the L.S.P. locking button (23) outwards.

Step 3. As soon as the L.S.P. locking button (23) is pushed out to its furthest extent, the Linear Side-impact Protection (L.S.P.) (4) can be released.

To fold out the Linear Side-impact Protection (L.S.P.) (4) again, press firmly on the area on the L.S.P. marked with “PRESS”.

To remove the covers, follow these steps:

Step 1. Loosen the shoulder belts (17) and open the belt buckle (18).

Step 2. Activate the headrest adjustment handle (14) and move the headrest to its highest position.

Step 3. Open and loosen all press buttons on the rear and front side of the headrest.

Step 4. Pull the cover forwards to remove it.

Step 5. Undo the hook-and-loop fasteners located on the lower side of the backrest cover.

Step 6. Lift the cover upwards to remove it completely.

To reattach the car seat cover, follow the removal instructions in the reverse order.

If you purchased the car seat with a sun canopy (24), follow these steps to remove it:

Step 1. Open and release all fastening buttons on the back of the sun canopy (24).

Step 2. Fold the sun canopy (24), release the fastening device, and detach it from the holders on both sides of the car seat.

To reattach the sun canopy (24), follow the removal instructions in the reverse order.

Before washing the newborn inlay (1), both foams must be removed. There are openings in the fabric for this purpose.

The cover may only be washed at 30 °C with a delicate wash program, otherwise it may result in discoloration of the cover fabric. Please wash the cover separately from other laundry and do not dry in the dryer or in direct sunlight. Never use harsh cleaning agents or bleaches! The plastic parts can be cleaned with a mild cleaning agent and warm water.

The sun canopy can be spot-cleaned with a damp sponge and soap. Do not use machine or hand washing. Do not separate the metal wires and plastic connections.

This car seat has been designed to be able to fulfill its intended functions by ordinary use for a product lifespan of up to 8 years.

To guarantee that your car seat provides the maximum protection, it is essential to comply with the following points:

• All major components of the car seat must be regularly checked for damage. The mechanical parts must work without problems.
• Make sure that the car seat is not jammed between hard parts such as the car door, seat rails etc., which can damage it.
• If e.g. the car seat is dropped, it must be tested by the manufacturer before being used again.

The installation of this car seat on the front passenger seat with the front airbag activated is NOT PERMITTED. In the event of an accident this can lead to injuries to your child. Deactivate the front airbag.

If e.g. the car seat is dropped, it must be tested by the manufacturer before being used again.

An accident may cause damage to the car seat that is not identifiable with the naked eye. Please replace the seat after an accident. In case of doubt, please consult your dealer or the manufacturer.

The lap belt on the harness must run as low as possible across your child’s groin to have optimum effect in the event of an accident.

Before each use make sure that the five-point harness is correctly adjusted and fits tightly to the child’s body. The belts must never be twisted!

While driving, the car seat must always be locked in the rearward or forward-facing position.

Always ensure that the car seat is not jammed against any surface when closing the vehicle door or adjusting the back seat.

We recommend using the flattest recline position for children who are not yet able to sit upright independently.

Always make sure that the car seat audibly clicks into place when adjusting it to either the lying or sitting position.

Step 1. Unlock the ISOFIX-Locking arms (7) on both sides by pressing the ISOFIX-Release buttons (6) and at the same time pulling them back.

Step 2. Pull out the car seat from the ISOFIX-Anchorage points (8).

Step 3. Remove the car seat and slide the ISOFIX-Locking arms (7) completely back into their transport positions.

Step 4. Push the load leg (5) back into its original position and then fold it in to save space.

To remove the covers, follow these instructions:
