1. Connect the ISP Pinboard and Burner together.

2. Open the printer’s control box to access the mainboard.

3. Insert the ISP Pinboard into the mainboard’s 2×3 ISP header pins, aligning according to the markings/sign.

4. Insert the Burner into a USB port on your computer.

1. Open the progisp.exe application on your computer.

2. Select the Chip “ATmega1284p”.

3. Click the “…” button (likely referring to Fuse & Lock Bits settings), set Low Value = D6, Highvalue = DC, ExtValue = FD.

4. Click Write to apply these values and then close the configuration window.

5. Click ‘Load Flash’ and select the appropriate *.hex firmware file for your printer model (downloaded from the Creality website).

6. Click ‘Auto’ to start the firmware update process.

7. Wait until the process is finished, then close the progisp application.

8. Unplug the ISP Pinboard from the mainboard.

1. Insert the BL Touch connectors into the 5 Pin Port on the sensor itself.

2. Install the BL Touch sensor onto the provided rack using the two M3*6 screws.

1. Loosen all fan cover screws on the printer’s hotend assembly.

2. Install the BL Touch rack (with the sensor attached) onto the corresponding position using two M3*8 screws.

3. Tie the BL Touch cable together with other printer cables using the provided ties.

1. Unplug the existing screen cable from the mainboard.

2. Connect the Pinboard A to the now vacant screen port on the mainboard.

3. Insert the original screen cable into the 10-pin port on Pinboard A.

4. Insert the BL Touch connectors into the 3-pin port on Pinboard A as indicated by the sign/markings.

5. Unplug the Z limit switch (Z-stop) cable from the mainboard’s Z-stop port, and insert the corresponding connectors from the BL Touch wiring harness into the Z-stop port.

Navigate the printer’s menu: Prepare → Auto Home.

Wait until the printer completes the homing sequence and stops.

1. Navigate the printer’s menu: Prepare → Move axis → Move Z → Move 0.1mm.

2. Place a sheet of A4 paper between the nozzle and the print bed.

3. Rotate the knob to lower the nozzle (adjusting the Z value shown on screen) until the distance between the nozzle and the bed is about 0.1mm (the paper should have slight friction when moved).

4. Write down the value of Z displayed on the screen (this is value ‘A’). It will likely be a negative number, e.g., -002.1.

1. Navigate the printer’s menu: Control → Motion → Z Offset.

2. The current Z Offset value is displayed (let’s call this value ‘B’, initially 000.00).

3. Calculate the new Z Offset (value ‘C’) using the formula: C = B + A (where ‘A’ is the value you noted down in the previous step, e.g., -002.1).

4. Rotate the knob to set the Z Offset on the screen to the calculated value ‘C’ (e.g., if B was 0.00 and A was -2.1, C will be -02.10).

5. Go back to the Control menu and select ‘Store settings’ to save the new Z Offset.

Navigate the printer’s menu: Prepare → Bed Leveling.

The printer will now probe multiple points on the bed using the BL Touch sensor. Different printers may have a different number of probing points.

Once completed, the test is passed, and leveling is complete.

If the model printing fails (indicating the leveling wasn’t perfect), you need to fine-tune the Probe Z Offset again.

Repeat the steps to adjust the Z Offset (Control → Motion → Z Offset), making small adjustments, and remember to ‘Store settings’ after each change.

Continue adjusting and testing until the printing effect (especially the first layer) is good.

After the automatic leveling is completed and the Z Offset is saved, you can perform a trial print to verify the leveling.

Navigate the printer’s menu: Print from TF → Select Model Test.

Choose a suitable testing model file that you have prepared on the TF (SD) card.

1. Open the Creality Slicer software.

2. Go to the ‘Settings’ menu.

3. Select ‘Printer’.

4. Choose ‘Manage Printers’.

1. In the ‘Printers’ window (accessed via Settings -> Printer -> Manage Printers), select your printer (e.g., Ender-3/Ender-3Pro/Ender-3-3S).

2. Click ‘Machine Settings’.

3. Review the settings under the ‘Printer’ and ‘Extruder 1’ tabs. Example settings shown are:

Printer Settings:

• X (Width): 220 mm
• Y (Depth): 220 mm
• Z (Height): 250 mm
• Build plate shape: Rectangular
• Origin at center: (Unchecked)
• Heated bed: (Checked)
• G-code flavor: Marlin

Printhead Settings:

• X min: 26 mm
• Y min: 32 mm
• X max: 32 mm
• Y max: 34 mm
• Gantry Height: 25 mm
• Number of Extruders: 1

1. Access the ‘Machine Settings’ for your printer in the Creality Slicer.

2. Locate the ‘Start G-code’ text box.

3. Find the line that contains the homing command `G28`.

4. Modify this line by adding `G29` after `G28`, so it reads `G28 G29`.

(G28 performs homing, G29 initiates the auto bed leveling sequence before the print starts).

5. Save the changes to the machine settings.
