To set up your COVERT MP32 camera, you will need the following:

• 8 AA Batteries

• 1 8GB SD card (Up to 32GB)

The COVERT MP32 operates on 8 AA batteries. To install them, press the button inside the front case labeled “Eject,” and the battery case will slide out from the bottom of the unit. With the battery case in hand, insert each battery into its designated slot, ensuring you align the positive and negative ends with the terminal directions molded into the case. Once all batteries are installed, push the battery case back into the bottom of the camera until you hear it click into place.

Before powering on your COVERT MP32, install a Covert SD card (up to 32GB) into the slot on the side of the unit. Push the card in until it clicks and then releases. To remove the SD card, repeat this process; the card will pop out far enough for you to remove it.

Follow these steps for a quick setup of your COVERT MP32:

1. Install batteries and an SD card.

2. Switch the camera to the AIM position.

3. Press the Menu button and select your desired settings.

4. Mount the camera in your desired location.

5. Switch the camera to ON. A 10-second countdown will appear, followed by a blank screen.

The COVERT MP32 has a three-position switch with the following functions:

• OFF Position: The unit will remain completely OFF as long as the switch is in this position.

• AIM Position: In this position, you can view the home screen and access the menu to change your camera’s settings.

• ON Position: When the switch is in this position, the camera is active and will function according to the settings you have chosen. When switching from OFF or AIM to ON, the screen will display a 10-second countdown and then go black; this is normal operation.

The buttons on your COVERT MP32 have the following functions:

• Arrow Keys: Use these keys to scroll through the menu, change settings, and take a photo. To manually take a picture, press the right arrow key.

• OK Button: Located in the center of the arrow keys, this button is used to select and confirm your preferred settings.

• Menu Button: Located below the arrow keys, this button is used to access your camera’s settings menu.

• Eject Button: Press this button to release the battery case from the bottom of the unit.

When you set up your COVERT MP32, the main screen displays the following information:

• Camera Mode

• Megapixel Setting

• Battery Life

• Current Time

• SD Card Storage (photos taken/photos remaining)

The menu screen on your COVERT MP32 is divided into two columns. The left column shows the setting you can change, and the right column shows the available options for that setting. Use the arrow keys to navigate and the OK button to confirm your selections.

• Language: Use the arrow keys to choose your desired menu language and press OK.

• Date (Format): Choose the date display order (DD/MM/YY or MM/DD/YY) and press OK.

• Time (Format): Choose between a 24-hour or 12-hour format and press OK.

• Temp: Choose between Fahrenheit or Celsius and press OK.

• Date (Set): Use the arrow keys to set the current date and press OK.

• Time (Set): Use the arrow keys to set the current time and press OK. The date, time, and temperature settings are applied as a time stamp on every photo.

In the menu of your COVERT MP32, you can choose between two flash settings for night images:

• Boost: This setting increases the brightness of the flash, which is ideal for long-range night images.

• Optimal: This setting adjusts the flash brightness based on the lighting conditions, making it great for close-range images.

Using the arrow keys in the menu, you can select one of four camera setting options for your COVERT MP32:

• Photo: The camera will take still images when triggered.

• Video: The camera will take short videos when triggered.

• Time lapse 1 and 2: The camera will function on the time lapse setting you configure.

You can customize the following settings on your COVERT MP32:

• Delay: Set the trigger delay from 1 second to 60 seconds, or from 2 minutes to 30 minutes.

• Quality: Set the megapixel resolution for photos (5, 8, 16, 24, 32).

• Quality (Video): Set the video resolution (VGA, HD, FHD).

• Multi: Set the burst mode to take 1 to 5 images per trigger.

• Length (Video): Set the video recording length from 5 to 60 seconds.

• Detect: Set the sensitivity of the motion sensor (Low, Normal, High).

• Format: Formatting your SD card will clear everything off the card, deleting any pictures that are stored on it. It is recommended to format your SD card every time before using your camera, even if it is a new card. To format, select ‘yes’ in the menu and press OK. After a few seconds, the screen will flash “successful” to confirm the format is complete.

• Default: To reset your camera to its factory settings, navigate to the Default option in the menu and select ‘yes’.

• Name: You can choose a 6-character name for your camera.

• About: This menu option is for manufacturer/engineering purposes only.

• For best results, mount the COVERT MP32 camera approximately three (3) feet off the ground, facing straight forward and as level as possible. Adjust for uneven terrain.

• To enhance the flash, position the camera in an area with a backdrop to reflect the maximum amount of light. For instance, place the camera 20-30′ from a field edge facing the woods. For inside of timber, position the camera facing a thicket approximately 20-30′ away.

• Clear brush away from the front of the camera to avoid false movement triggers.

• Try to set the camera up facing North or South to avoid overexposure from the sun in the morning or evening when game movement is at its peak.
