When using this electrical equipment, basic safety precautions should always be followed:

DANGER – Risk of Injury:

• Replace a damaged cord immediately.

• Do not bury the cord.

• Connect to a grounded, grounding-type receptacle only.

DANGER – Risk of Accidental Drowning:

• Extreme caution must be exercised to prevent unauthorized access by children. To avoid accidents, ensure that children cannot use the COLEMAN S100105 spa unless they are supervised at all times.

DANGER – Risk of Injury (Suction Fittings):

• The suction fittings in this spa are sized to match the specific water flow created by the pump. If you need to replace the suction fittings or the pump, ensure the flow rates are compatible. Never operate the spa if suction fittings are broken or missing. Never replace a suction fitting with one rated less than the flow rate marked on the original fitting.

DANGER – Risk of Electric Shock:

• Install at least 5 feet (1.5 m) from all metal surfaces. Alternatively, a spa may be installed within 5 feet of metal surfaces if each metal surface is permanently connected by a minimum 8 AWG solid copper conductor to the wire connector on the terminal box.

• Do not permit any electric appliance, such as a light, telephone, radio, or television, within 5 feet (1.5 m) of the spa.

WARNING – To reduce the risk of injury:

• The water in a spa should never exceed 104°F (40°C). Water temperatures between 100°F (38°C) and 104°F (40°C) are considered safe for a healthy adult. Lower water temperatures are recommended for young children and when spa use exceeds 10 minutes.

• Since excessive water temperatures have a high potential for causing fetal damage during the early months of pregnancy, pregnant or possibly pregnant women should limit spa water temperatures to 100°F (38°C).

• Before entering a spa, measure the water temperature with an accurate thermometer since the tolerance of water temperature-regulating devices varies.

• The use of alcohol, drugs, or medication before or during spa use may lead to unconsciousness with the possibility of drowning.

• Obese persons and persons with a history of heart disease, low or high blood pressure, circulatory system problems, or diabetes should consult a physician before using a spa.

• Persons using medication should consult a physician before using a spa, as some medication may induce drowsiness while others may affect heart rate, blood pressure, and circulation.

The GFCI must be tested before each use to avoid the risk of electric shock. Follow these steps:

1. With the product operating, push the test button on the GFCI. The product should stop operating.

2. Push the reset button on the GFCI. The product should now operate normally.

If the product fails to operate in this manner, there is a ground current flowing, indicating the possibility of an electrical shock. Disconnect the power until the fault has been identified and corrected. Do not use the pump if this test fails.

Hyperthermia occurs when the internal temperature of the body reaches a level several degrees above the normal body temperature of 98.6°F (37°C). The symptoms include dizziness, lethargy, drowsiness, and fainting. The effects of hyperthermia include failure to perceive heat, failure to recognize the need to exit the spa, unawareness of impending hazards, fetal damage in pregnant women, physical inability to exit the spa, and unconsciousness resulting in the danger of drowning.

The use of alcohol, drugs, or medication can greatly increase the risk of fatal hyperthermia.

To prevent hyperthermia, never let the spa water exceed 104°F (40°C) and never add water that is higher than 104°F (40°C) into the spa.

It is strongly recommended not to unfold and inflate the spa if the ambient temperature is below 59°F (15°C). It is suggested to inflate the spa indoors and then continue the setup outdoors.

If the outdoor temperature is lower than 42.8°F (6°C), the spa heater must always be on. In this mode, the Freeze Shield™ system can keep the internal temperature between 42.8°F (6°C) and 50°F (10°C) to prevent damage, such as water freezing in the pipes or circulation system.

If the Freeze Shield™ system isn’t working, alarms will appear on the spa. Be sure to check the status of your spa if the outdoor temperature is below 42.8°F (6°C). In case of a long-term absence from home when there is a risk of temperatures falling below 42.8°F (6°C), it is strongly suggested to disassemble the spa and store it following the storage procedure.

The warning label must be posted near your spa in a readable position during use.

1. Take out the warning label from the accessory kit.

2. Carefully peel the warning label.

3. Affix the warning label.

To ensure safety, follow these instructions for the Suction Outlet Fitting Assembly (SOFA):

• Replace suction fittings every 3 years.

• Do not use adhesives or other attachment methods that prevent access to suction piping or SOFA components that require periodic servicing.

• Any modification that increases the flow rate of the circulation system requires a re-evaluation of the cover/grate and sump to ensure the SOFA’s flow rating is not exceeded.

• Missing, broken, or cracked cover/grates, sumps, mud-frames, or any other SOFA component must be replaced before bathers are allowed to use the pool.

• Loose cover/grates must be reattached before bathers are allowed to use the pool.

• During winterizing, dry the suction fittings completely and store the product in a dry room at a temperature between 59°F and 104°F (15°C – 40°C).

• Observe the cover/grate for damage or tampering each operational day.

• Before using the product, check the integrity of the suction fitting head. If it is broken, cracked, or the color has significantly faded, do not use it.

The surface chosen to install the spa must meet the following technical characteristics:

• The surface must be capable of uniformly supporting the total weight of the spa, water, and users for the entire time it is installed.

• An adequate drainage system must be provided to handle overflow water for both indoor and outdoor installations.

• The surface must be flat and smooth. An inclined or uneven surface can create unbalanced loading on the spa’s structure and damage the welding point.

• The selected surface must be clear of any type of object. Any object under the spa could damage or perforate the bottom of the spa due to the water’s weight.

• The location must not have overhead power lines or trees. Ensure the location does not contain underground utility pipes, lines, or cables.

• The selected position must be far from the house entrance. Do not position equipment or furniture around the spa.

• Do not install the spa on carpet or other porous floor materials (e.g., untreated cork, timber) that promote moisture and bacteria.

• Suggested surfaces: grass, ground, concrete, and other surfaces that respect the conditions above.

• Not suggested surfaces: mud, sand, gravel, deck, balcony, driveway, platform, soft/loose soil, or any other surface that does not meet the conditions.

Outdoor Installation Specifics:

• The surface must be clear of aggressive plants and weeds that could grow through the liner.

• Do not leave the spa’s surface exposed to direct sunlight for long periods. It is recommended to protect the spa with a cover when not in use.

If you install the spa indoors, be aware of these special requirements:

• Humidity is a natural side effect. Determine the effects of airborne moisture on exposed wood, paper, etc., in the proposed location. To minimize these effects, it is strongly recommended to provide plenty of ventilation to the selected area. Consult an expert to determine if more ventilation is needed.

• Regularly maintain suitable air treatment (ventilation and dehumidification) in the indoor location to preserve bathers’ safety and comfort.

• Empty the spa before removing it from the indoor location or building.

• Using an extension cord or multi-plug adaptor with the spa heater is dangerous and can cause the plug to overheat.

• Keep the spa away from rest areas to minimize noise disturbance.

• Maintain at least 1m of clearance around the spa.

• It is not recommended to use sea water to fill the pool, as it can corrode internal metal components.

• When inflating, air will be expelled from the area where the air hose connects to the pump; this is normal.

• Do not cover the holes on the base of the inflation hose.

• Do not use an air compressor to inflate the spa.

• Do not drag the pool on rough ground as this may cause damage to the spa liner.

• LOCK/UNLOCK BUTTON: The pump has a 5-minute auto-lock. To lock or unlock the pump, press the lock/unlock button for 2 seconds.

• POWER-SAVING TIMER BUTTON: This function helps avoid wasting power by setting the time and duration of the heating cycle. To activate:

1. Press the timer button; the LED starts to flash.

2. Press the up or down arrow buttons to adjust the heating duration (1-999 hours).

3. Press the timer button again to confirm the heating duration.

4. Press the up or down arrow buttons to set the waiting time before heating begins (0-999 hours).

5. Press the timer button again or touch nothing for 10 seconds to confirm the setting. The LED will light steadily, and the countdown to heater activation will begin. To cancel, press the timer button for 2 seconds.

• HEAT BUTTON: Press to activate the heating system. The light is red when heating and green when the set temperature is reached. The filtration system starts automatically with the heating system.

• MASSAGE SYSTEM BUTTON: Press to activate the massage system, which has a 30-minute auto-shutoff feature. The light becomes red when activated. Do not run the massage system when the cover is attached.

• TEMPERATURE ADJUSTMENT BUTTONS: Press the up or down arrow buttons to set the temperature. The display will flash the set temperature, then return to showing the current water temperature. The adjustment range is from 68°F (20°C) to 104°F (40°C).

• CELSIUS/FAHRENHEIT TOGGLE: The temperature can be displayed in either Fahrenheit or Celsius.

• WATER FILTER BUTTON: This button turns the filter pump on and off. The button turns red when activated.

• ON/OFF BUTTON: After activating the GFCI, press and hold the On/Off button for 2 seconds. The button turns green and the panel activates. Press and hold for 2 seconds to turn off all functions.

To reach 104°F (40°C), the heating duration required is based on the starting water temperature and ambient temperature. The data below is for reference. To display the current water temperature, run the filter system for at least a minute.

Be sure to cover the spa with the spa cover whenever the heating function is activated. Leaving the spa uncovered will increase the heating duration required. When the spa is assembled with water, do not switch off the spa heater if the temperature is lower than 6°C (42.8°F).

To optimize the performance of the filtration system, check and clean your filter cartridge every day. It is recommended to change your filter cartridge every week or replacing it if, after washing, the filter cartridge remains soiled and discolored.

Keeping your spa water clean and chemically balanced is necessary. Simply cleaning the filter cartridge is not enough. Use pool chemicals to maintain water chemistry and chlorine or bromine tablets (do not use granules) with the chemical dispenser. It is recommended to change the water completely if stains or biofilms develop, or if the water condition is poor.

The water should be changed every 3 days if no chemical treatment is being performed. It is highly recommended to use tap water for filling to minimize unwanted minerals. Do not throw chemical products directly into the water; they will deposit on the bottom and damage the material.

Recommended water chemical balance:

For PVC Material:

If the spa is torn or punctured, use the provided PVC repair patch.

1. Clean the area to be repaired.

2. Carefully peel the patch.

3. Press the patch over the area to be repaired.

4. Wait 30 seconds before inflation.

For Duraplus™ PVC Material:

If the spa is torn or punctured, use the provided PVC patch and glue (not included).

1. Clean and dry the area to be repaired.

2. Cut the provided PVC patch to an appropriate size.

3. Use glue (not included) to coat one side of the newly cut patch. Ensure the glue is evenly distributed.

4. Wait for 30 seconds and then place the cut patch with glue over the damaged area.

5. Smooth out any air bubbles that may be trapped underneath and press firmly for two minutes.

6. Wait 30 minutes before inflation.

1. First, drain and dry the spa completely. Ensure all parts including the spa liner, inflatable cover, pump, and accessories are clean and dry. If the spa is not completely dry, mold may result and damage the liner.

2. Remove all accessories.

3. Fold the spa liner only if the environment temperature is above 50°F (10°C).

4. Store the spa in a dry place with a moderate temperature between 50°F (10°C) and 100°F (38°C).

5. It is strongly recommended to position the spa liner and inflatable cover inside a carton box to better protect the PVC material during winter months.

If your pump does not operate, it could be due to a power failure or broken power circuits. Check the power source. For further assistance with broken circuits, please refer to the support section of the manufacturer’s website.

If your spa is not heating properly, check the following:

• Temperature set too low: Set the spa to a higher temperature.

• Dirty filter cartridge: Clean or replace the filter cartridge.

• Spa is not covered with lid: Attach the cover to minimize heat loss.

• Heating element failed: If the above steps do not resolve the issue, the heating element may have failed.

There are a few reasons the massage system may not be working:

• Air pump is overheating: Unplug the pump and wait two hours for it to cool. Then, plug it back in and press the Massage System Button.

• Automatic stop: The massage system automatically stops after 30 minutes of use. Press the Massage System Button to reactivate it.

• Air pump is broken: If the above solutions do not work, the air pump may be broken.

It is a normal characteristic of the material to change shape. To resolve this, elevate the pump with wood or another type of insulated material to bring the pump’s adapters level with the spa’s adapters.

If you suspect an air leak, check the following:

• Torn or punctured: If the spa liner is torn or punctured, use the provided repair patch.

• Loose air valve: Use soapy water to cover the air valve to check if air is leaking. If it is, fasten the air valve by turning it clockwise.

If the water is not clean, consider these possible causes and solutions:

• Insufficient filtering time: Increase the filtration time.

• Dirty filter cartridge: Clean or replace the filter cartridge.

• Improper water maintenance: Refer to the chemical manufacturer’s instructions to properly balance the water chemistry.

Error Code: 8.8.8 (water flow sensors work without pressing filter/heat button)

• Reason: Water flow sensor flags didn’t fall back, or sensors are broken.

• Solution: Unplug the pump, gently strike the side of it, and plug it back in.

Error Code: 8.8.8 (sensors do not detect water flow)

• Reason: Forgot to remove stopper caps; dirty filter; filter blockage; bent pipes; blocked debris screens.

• Solution: Remove stopper caps. Clean/change filter cartridges. Clean debris screens by emptying the spa and washing the pipes with a garden hose. Check for bent pipes.

Error Code: 8.8.8 (thermometer reads below 40°F/4°C)

• Reason: Water temperature is too low.

• Solution: The spa is not designed to operate with water below 40°F (4°C). Unplug the pump and restart only when the water temperature reaches 43°F (6°C).

Error Code: 8.8.8 (thermometer reads over 119°F/48°C)

• Reason: Water temperature is too high; high ambient temperature or direct sunlight.

• Solution: The spa is not designed to operate with water greater than 104°F (40°C). Unplug the pump and restart only when the water temperature is 100°F (38°C) or lower. Disconnect the plug, detach pump, drain spa. After 15 minutes, reattach and restart. Consider moving the spa out of direct sunlight.

Error Code: 8.8.8 (thermometer connection issues)

• Reason: Connection issue between temperature sensor and PCB.

• Solution: Unplug the spa, wait 5 minutes, and plug it back in while switching the pump on.

Error Code: 8.8.8 (Wi-Fi module connection failed)

• Reason: Wi-Fi module is damaged.

• Solution: Press any button to remove the alarm and continue to use the spa.

Error Code: 8.8.8 (detected electric from ground wire)

• Reason: Pump detected electric from a ground wire, possibly due to a leak in a home appliance or a problem with the pump.

• Solution: Call an electrician immediately. If the problem continues, it is strongly recommended to connect the spa plug to a socket with independent grounding.

Error Code: 8.8.8 (ground connection failed)

• Reason: Problem with home ground bonding or with the pump.

• Solution: Connect the spa pump to a new socket or call an electrician to check the wall socket. If the problem persists, an independent grounding connection to the wall socket may be needed.
