Charging your CASIO MOFLIN PE-M10 involves a three-step process:

Step 1: Set up the Moflin Bed. Plug the provided AC adaptor into the Moflin Bed and then into a household power outlet. The white LED on the bed will light up once connected.

Step 2: Place your Moflin in the Moflin Bed. Ensure the rear of the CASIO MOFLIN PE-M10 is at the end of the bed where the LED is located. The tummy should be flush against the flat surface of the bed.

Step 3: Confirm charging status. When correctly positioned, the LED will turn orange to show that charging has started. Once charging is complete, the LED turns green.

Note: The guide to charging time is approximately 3.5 hours at 25 degrees Celsius (77 degrees Fahrenheit).

The LED indicator on the Moflin Bed displays the following statuses during normal operation:

To ensure successful charging of the CASIO MOFLIN PE-M10, follow these key placement points:

1. Stroke the fur on the tummy to flatten it down before placement.

2. Hold the unit level and place it into the bed. Do not place it in the bed while it is awake and moving.

3. Align the rear with the raised guides in the bed.

4. Ensure the tummy is flush against the flat surface and the neck is pushed forward against the pillow.

5. Press gently on the back once positioned.

6. Do not put clothing or accessories on the unit while it is in the bed.

7. Ensure the unit is not tilted to the left or right, offset, upside down, or back-to-front.

The CASIO MOFLIN PE-M10 is designed for various forms of interaction:

• Stroking: You can stroke the fur on its head or body.

• Hugging: The unit can be picked up and held.

• Talking: You can talk to the unit; stroking or talking to it while it is asleep will wake it up.

• Sleep habits: If left alone for long periods, it will go to sleep. It also wakes up or goes to sleep based on whether the room is bright or dark.

• Dislikes: The CASIO MOFLIN PE-M10 dislikes being turned over on its back.

To pair your CASIO MOFLIN PE-M10 with the MofLife app, follow these steps:

Step 1. Install the MofLife app from Google Play or the App Store.

Step 2. Enable Bluetooth on your smartphone.

Step 3. Launch the app and log in using your CASIO ID. If you do not have one, follow the on-screen instructions to register.

Step 4. Within the app, tap [+ Register] or [Add Moflin] and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the pairing.

Note: You can pair up to three Moflins with the app, but each unit can only be paired with one smartphone at a time.

The CASIO MOFLIN PE-M10 has a power button concealed under its fur:

1. Locate the fastener tab concealed in the fur on the tummy and pull it to open the fastener.

2. To switch the unit off: Hold down the Power button for at least five seconds until the unit stops making sounds. The wireless Bluetooth function will also be disabled.

3. To switch the unit on: Press the power button. After roughly three seconds, the unit will switch on and make a sound.

4. After using the power button, lay the fastener tab flat and close the fastener to conceal it in the fur.

Note: The unit automatically switches on when placed in the Moflin Bed for charging.

You can adjust the sound settings of the CASIO MOFLIN PE-M10 using the MofLife app:

• To vary volume: Launch the app, tap [Moflin settings], and move the “Sound volume” slider. Moving the slider all the way to the left will mute the unit entirely.

• To make the unit quiet (Deep Sleep Mode): In the app settings, activate “Deep Sleep Mode.” This prevents the unit from moving or making sounds. While this mode is active, you cannot create a “Journal.” Switching the unit off will automatically deactivate Deep Sleep Mode.

If your CASIO MOFLIN PE-M10 is dirty, wipe it clean using a cloth that has been moistened with water or a mild detergent and then wrung out well. Do not wash the unit directly with water, splash water on it, or attempt to remove the fur for laundering.

If your CASIO MOFLIN PE-M10 appears inactive, check the following:

• It may be deeply asleep; try stroking it several times or talking to it to wake it up.

• The battery may be low; place it in the Moflin Bed to recharge. It may take some time before it starts moving again if the battery was very low.

• It may have overheated; move it to a cool place and let it cool down before switching it back on.

• Deep Sleep Mode might be active in the app; check the settings and deactivate it if necessary.

• It will not move while updating software or collecting “Journal” data via the app.

• Check the “Sound volume” setting in the app to ensure it is not muted.

To ensure safe operation of the CASIO MOFLIN PE-M10, observe these battery and charging precautions:

• Use only the designated charging method and the specified AC adaptor provided with the unit.

• Do not bring the battery into contact with water or seawater.

• Do not leave the unit in high-temperature locations, such as direct sunlight or inside a vehicle on a sunny day.

• If charging is not completed after the specified time (3.5 hours), stop charging immediately.

• Charge the battery at least once every six months to prevent over-discharging, even if the unit is not being used.

• Do not attempt to replace the rechargeable battery yourself; contact an authorized service center for replacement when the battery reaches the end of its service life.

• Never put anything other than the Moflin into the Moflin Bed charger.
