How do I operate the crown on a water-resistant model?

Some water-resistant models (100 meters, 200 meters) have a screw-in crown. When you need to perform a crown operation, rotate it towards you to unscrew it. Then pull the crown out. Avoid applying undue force when pulling. The watch loses its water resistance while the crown is unscrewed. After performing a crown operation, fully screw the crown back in.

How do I use the rotary bezel?

If your watch has a rotary bezel, you can rotate the bezel to align its ▼ mark with the minute hand. Then you will be able to tell how much time has elapsed since aligning the ▼ mark.

What is the recommended order for configuring the watch settings?

Configure hand and indicator settings in the sequence shown below.

Day of the week → Time → Moon Age → Month → Day

How do I set the Day of the Week and the Time?

1. When the second hand is at 12 o’clock, pull the Crown out to click 2.

2. Rotate the Crown away from you to move the hour and minute hands clockwise.

First, set the day of the week.

After setting the day of the week, set the time.

3. Push the Crown back in.

Note

• Take care that you set the correct AM or PM time.

• When changing the time, move the minute hand four or five minutes past your final setting, and then back it up to the setting you want.

How do I set the Month?

1. Use A to change the month setting.

Note

• Do not change the month setting while the current date is one from the 26th to the 31st. If you do, the watch will not change to the next month correctly when the 1st day of the month is reached.

• If you need to change the month setting while the current date is one from the 26th to the 31st, perform the steps below.

1. Using the procedure under “Setting the Day”, change the day setting so it is any day between the 1st and the 25th (anything outside the range of the 26th to the 31st).

2. Change the month to the setting you want.

3. Change the day back to its correct setting.

How do I set the Day?

1. Pull the Crown out to click 1.

2. Rotate the Crown towards you to change the day setting.

3. Push the Crown back in.

Note

Do not change the day setting while the time is between 9:00 p.m. and 0:30 a.m. of the following day. If you do, the watch will not change to the next day correctly when midnight is reached.

What do the Moon Phase Indicator and Moon Age represent?

The Moon goes through a regular cycle of approximately 29.5 days during which it appears to wax and wane due to how it is illuminated by the Sun, and the relative positioning of the Earth, Moon, and Sun. The greater the angular distance between the Moon and the Sun, the more of the Moon we see illuminated.

The Moon phase indicator of this watch indicates the current phase of the Moon as shown in the table below.

Moon Age 0 7 15 22
Moon Phase New Moon First Quarter (Waxing) Full Moon Last Quarter (Waning)

• The Moon phase indicator shows the Moon as viewed at noon from a position in the Northern Hemisphere looking south. Note that at times the image shown by the Moon phase indicator may differ from that of the actual Moon in your area.

• The left-right orientation of the Moon phase is reversed when viewing from the Southern Hemisphere or from a point near the equator.

How do I set the Moon Age?

1. Pull the Crown out to click 1.

2. Rotate the Crown away from you until there is nothing visible in the Moon phase indicator (Moon age of 0).

3. Slowly rotate the Crown away from you again until the Moon phase indicator shows the correct Moon phase.

• For details about Moon phases, refer to the information on the Moon Phase Indicator.

4. Push the Crown back in.
