Step 1. Press the [Menu] button repeatedly until <4.SYSTEM SETTINGS> appears on the screen.

Step 2. Use the [◄] or [►] button to select <DISPLAY LANGUAGE>, and then press [OK].

Step 3. Use the [◄] or [►] button to select your desired language, and then press [OK].

The document requirements for the Platen Glass and the Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) on your CANON PIXMA MP750 are as follows:

Step 1. Lift the Document Cover.

Step 2. Place your document face-down on the Platen Glass. Align the upper left corner of your document with the alignment mark on the upper left corner of the Platen Glass.

Step 3. Gently close the Document Cover.

Step 1. Remove any documents that are currently on the Platen Glass.

Step 2. Open the Document Tray.

Step 3. Load the document face-up in the ADF.

Step 4. Adjust the Document Guides to match the width of your document.

Your CANON PIXMA MP750 can be loaded with paper in two locations: the Auto Sheet Feeder at the rear and the Cassette at the front. To switch between paper sources, press [Feed Switch]. The selected feeder is indicated on the LCD.

To load paper in the Auto Sheet Feeder:

Step 1. Open the Auto Sheet Feeder and pull out the Paper Support.

Step 2. Place a stack of paper, with the print side facing up, into the Auto Sheet Feeder.

Step 3. Pinch the paper guide and adjust it to fit snugly against the left side of the paper stack.

Step 1. Pull the Cassette out towards you.

Step 2. Load a stack of paper with the print side facing down.

Step 3. Grasp the paper guide and align it to the left edge of the paper stack. Align the front edge of the paper stack in the same way.

Step 4. Load the Cassette back into the machine.

Step 1. Load your document on the Platen Glass or in the ADF.

Step 2. Press [COPY].

Step 3. Select the paper source using the [Feed Switch].

Step 4. Use the [◄] or [►] buttons to select the number of copies, or enter the number (max. 99 copies) using the Numeric Keys.

Step 5. Adjust any other settings for your document as necessary (e.g., density, enlargement).

Step 6. Press [Color] for a color copy, or [Black] for a black & white copy.

The CANON PIXMA MP750 offers several advanced copying features:

2 on 1 copying: Reduces two document pages to fit onto one page. Press [2 on 1] to use this feature.

Two-sided copying: Reduces two document pages to a single sheet of paper. Press [Two-Sided].

Collation: Makes multiple copies of a document and delivers them in sorted sets. Press [Collate].

Borderless copying: Copies color images so that they fill the entire page without borders.

Repeating an image on a page: Copies an image multiple times onto a single page.

You can connect a PictBridge compatible or Canon “Bubble Jet Direct” compatible digital camera or camcorder to your CANON PIXMA MP750 to print images directly without a computer.

Step 1. Turn on the machine.

Step 2. Select the paper source with the [Feed Switch].

Step 3. Load photo paper in the Auto Sheet Feeder or the Cassette.

Step 4. Ensure the camera is turned off.

Step 5. Connect the camera to the machine’s Direct Print Port using the USB cable that was supplied with the camera.

Step 6. The digital camera should turn on automatically. If it does not, turn it on manually.

Step 7. You are now ready to print images directly from the camera.

Step 1. Press [FAX], then press [Menu].

Step 2. Use [◄] or [►] to select <USER SETTINGS>, then press [OK].

Step 3. Use [◄] or [►] to select <TEL LINE TYPE>, then press [OK].

Step 4. Use [◄] or [►] to select the telephone line type:

    • <TOUCH TONE>: Suitable for tone dialing.

    • <ROTARY PULSE>: Suitable for pulse dialing.

Step 5. Press [OK], then press [Stop/Reset].

Step 1. Press [FAX], then press [Menu].

Step 2. Use [◄] or [►] to select <USER SETTINGS>, then press [OK] twice.

Step 3. Use [◄] or [►] to select <DATE/TIME SETTING>, then press [OK].

Step 4. Use the Numeric Keys to enter the current date and time (in 24-hour format), then press [OK].

Step 5. Use [◄] or [►] to select <UNIT TEL NUMBER>, then press [OK].

Step 6. Use the Numeric Keys to enter your fax/telephone number (max. 20 digits, including spaces), then press [OK] twice.

Step 7. Use [◄] or [►] to select <UNIT NAME>, then press [OK].

Step 8. Use the Numeric Keys to enter your name (max. 24 characters, including spaces), then press [OK].

Step 9. Press [Stop/Reset].

Step 1. Press [FAX], then press [Menu].

Step 2. Use [◄] or [►] to select <TEL# REGISTRATION>, then press [OK].

Step 3. Use [◄] or [►] to select <1-TOUCH SPD DIAL> or <CODED SPEED DIAL>, then press [OK].

    • If you selected <1-TOUCH SPD DIAL>: Use [◄] or [►] to select a One-Touch Speed Dial Key (01 to 08), then press [OK] twice.

    • If you selected <CODED SPEED DIAL>: Use [◄] or [►] to select a coded speed dialing code (00 to 99), then press [OK] twice.

Step 4. Use the Numeric Keys to enter the fax/telephone number you want to register (max. 40 digits, including spaces and pauses), then press [OK] twice.

Step 5. Use the Numeric Keys to enter a name (max. 16 characters, including spaces), then press [OK].

Step 6. Press [Stop/Reset] to return to standby mode.

First, follow steps 1 to 3 under “Registering One-Touch Speed Dialing Or Coded Speed Dialing” to select the entry you wish to modify.

To change a registered number:

Step 1. Use [◄] to delete the currently registered number.

Step 2. Use the Numeric Keys to enter the new number.

Step 3. Press [OK], then press [Stop/Reset].

To change a registered name:

Step 1. Press [OK] twice.

Step 2. Press and hold [◄] to delete the registered name.

Step 3. Use the Numeric Keys to enter the new name.

Step 4. Press [OK], then press [Stop/Reset].

To delete an entire entry:

Step 1. Press and hold [◄] to clear the registered number.

Step 2. Press [OK], then press [Stop/Reset].

The name will be automatically deleted when you delete the number.

Step 1. Press [*] to switch between uppercase letter mode (:A), lowercase letter mode (:a), or number mode (:1).

Step 2. Use the Numeric Keys to enter a character. Press the button repeatedly until the character you want appears.

To enter two characters that are under the same button:

Press the Numeric Key, press [►], then press the same Numeric Key again.

To enter a space:

Press [►] twice. In number mode, press [►] once.

To delete a character:

Press [◄].

To delete an entire entry:

Press and hold [◄].

The characters available for each key are listed below:

Standard Sending Method

Step 1. Load the document on the Platen Glass or in the ADF.

Step 2. Press [FAX].

Step 3. Adjust the settings for your document as necessary.

Step 4. Dial the recipient’s number using the Numeric Keys or a speed dialing method.

Step 5. Press [Color] for color sending, or [Black] for black & white sending.

One-Touch Speed Dialing

Press the One-Touch Speed Dial Key (01-08) that has been assigned to the number you want to dial.

Coded Speed Dialing

Step 1. Press [Coded Dial].

Step 2. Use the Numeric Keys to enter the 2-digit code (00-99) assigned to the number you want to dial.

Your CANON PIXMA MP750 has several modes for receiving faxes, depending on your needs:

<FAX ONLY MODE>: For a dedicated fax line. The machine receives all faxes automatically. You will not be able to answer voice calls.

<MANUAL MODE>: For receiving mainly voice calls and occasional faxes. When a call comes in, the telephone will ring. Pick up the handset; if you hear a beep, press [Black] or [Color] on the machine to receive the fax. For remote receiving when away from the machine, dial 25 on your telephone.

<ANS.MACHINE MODE>: For use with an external answering machine. The answering machine responds first. If it’s a fax call, the CANON PIXMA MP750 will then receive the fax automatically.

<FAX/TEL AUTO SW>: For receiving faxes automatically as well as voice calls. The machine will receive faxes automatically. For voice calls, the machine will ring, and you can pick up the handset to answer.

<DRPD> (US only): For users with a Distinctive Ring Pattern Detection service. The machine will ring according to the pattern you’ve chosen and receive faxes automatically on that pattern.

<NET SW.> (Australia/New Zealand only): For users subscribed to Telstra FaxStream™ Duet or Telecom FaxAbility services. The machine will ring and receive the fax automatically.

Step 1. Press [FAX], then press [Menu].

Step 2. Press [OK].

Step 3. Use [◄] or [►] to select the desired receive mode.

Step 4. Press [OK].

Step 1. Make sure the power is turned ON.

Step 2. Press the Open Button to open the Paper Output Tray.

Step 3. Lift up the Scanning Unit until it stops and locks into place with a click.

Step 4. Open the Inner Cover 1.

Step 5. Open the Inner Cover 2.

Step 6. Press the tab on the empty ink tank and remove it from its slot.

Step 7. Remove the new ink tank from its packaging. Pull the orange tape in the direction of the arrow so that the protective film is completely removed from the air hole. Then, hold the ink tank and remove the orange protective cap.

Step 8. Insert the new ink tank diagonally into the print head.

Step 9. If you need to replace another ink tank, repeat steps 6 to 8.

Step 10. Close the Inner Cover 2.

Step 11. Close the Inner Cover 1.

Step 12. Close the Scanning Unit.

If print quality is poor, you can perform a print head cleaning.

Step 1. Press [Menu] repeatedly until <MAINTENANCE> appears.

Step 2. Use [◄] or [►] to select <CLEANING> or <HEAD REFRESHING> as necessary.

Step 3. Press [OK].

If printed lines are misaligned, you should align the print head.

Step 1. Load a sheet of A4- or letter-size plain paper in the Auto Sheet Feeder.

Step 2. Press [Menu] repeatedly until <MAINTENANCE> appears.

Step 3. Use [◄] or [►] to select <AUTO HEAD ALIGN>, then press [OK].

Step 4. The alignment pattern will be printed.
