The CAMDEN M-PROX2 (CV-602) is a 2-door access control system with the following system features:

• 12/24 V AC/DC operation

• 2,000 user codes

• 2 Wiegand inputs

The CAMDEN M-PROX2 can be programmed locally using 4 buttons and a 4-digit LED display. The features available for local programming are:

• Programming new codes into memory

• Deleting single codes from memory

• Selecting bi-stable or timed operation mode independently for each relay

• Setting the relay activation time

• Setting the internal clock

Connect your 12/24V AC/DC positive output to the 12-24 V input and the common output to the ground input. The proximity readers are connected as shown in the terminal table. A separate power supply must be used for door locking devices, as the CAMDEN M-PROX2 does not provide power on its relay outputs.

12-24 V and Ground: Power input terminals allow for 12 to 24V AC/DC.

Data Link, Antenna, and Antenna Shield: Factory Use Only.

9V DC Out: Output power for the Wiegand reader.

DATA 0 and DATA 1: These are the Wiegand data inputs. Connect the Wiegand reader/keypad data lines to these inputs.

Activate (Request to Exit): May be connected to push buttons or REX Sensors. Normally open dry outputs are connected across the Activate and Ground. A contact closure across Activate and Ground will cause the M-PROX2 to grant access.

Enable: Used to enable the output relay. A connection to Ground will enable the output relay. The M-PROX2 is shipped with a jumper installed, enabling the output relay at all times. This jumper can be replaced with a Dry contact for hardware-controlled access.

Relay Outputs: These are the door control relays. Connect these relay outputs to the magnetic lock or electric strike as required. NOTE: The M-PROX2 does not provide power on these outputs for the door locking devices.

The buttons for local programming are:

• Yellow (FUN – Function Button): Allows you to select the function to program.

• Blue (DEC – Decrease Button): Moves down the list of available options.

• Red (INC – Increase Button): Moves up the list of available options.

• Green (VAL – Value Button): Changes the value of the selected function. Also used as a confirmation button.

To enter programming mode, press the Red and Blue buttons together and release.

2. Press Yellow. Use the Red and Blue buttons to select F01.

3. Press Green to confirm.

4. Press Red or Blue to increase or decrease the Relay ON time.

5. Press Green to confirm and exit.

3. Press Green to confirm.

4. Press Red or Blue to increase or decrease the Relay ON time.

1. Access programming mode by pressing the Red and Blue keys together.

2. Press the Yellow key to access the function selection menu.

3. Select function F5 by pressing the Red and Blue keys, then confirm by pressing the Green key.

4. The first memory slot location to be programmed will appear (default 0001). The first decimal point will be lit. Select the initial memory location using the Red and Blue keys and confirm with the Green key.

5. The final memory location to be programmed will now appear. The last decimal point will be lit. Select a value greater than the initial location using the Red and Blue keys and confirm with the Green key.

6. If group association is enabled, the display will show GR00. Select the group using Red and Blue keys (GR00 for no group) and confirm with the Green key.

7. The M-PROX2 is now ready to accept the first code. Four decimal points are displayed. Present your first card/keytag to the reader.

8. Once the first code is received, all subsequent memory locations up to the final one are programmed with codes calculated by adding one to the starting code. If a code to be programmed already exists, the operation is aborted and ERR is displayed.

1. Access programming mode by pressing the Red and Blue keys.

2. Press the Yellow key to access the function selection menu.

3. Select function F6 by pressing the Red and Blue keys and confirm with the Green key.

4. The request for the first location to be deleted will appear (default 0001). Select the initial location using the Red and Blue keys and confirm with the Green key.

5. The request for the final location to be deleted will appear. Select a location greater than the initial one using the Red and Blue keys and confirm with the Green key.

6. The letter -C- will appear on the display. Press the Green key again to confirm.

7. The M-PROX2 will automatically delete all the codes in the selected range.

8. Press the Red and Blue keys at the same time to exit programming.

1. Access programming mode by pressing the Red and Blue keys.

2. Press the Yellow key to access the function selection menu.

3. Select function F7 by pressing the Red and Blue keys and confirm with the Green key. The letter C will appear on the display.

4. Confirm again by pressing the Green key. The M-PROX2 will fully delete the code area only. Other stored parameters like schedules will remain unaltered.

5. Press the Red and Blue keys at the same time to exit programming.

1. Access programming mode by pressing the Red and Blue keys.

2. Press the Yellow key to access the function selection menu.

3. Select function F8 by pressing the Red and Blue keys and confirm with the Green key.

4. The letter P will appear on the display. Enter a sequence of six keys (using the Red, Green, Blue, Yellow buttons) within 10 seconds.

5. After the six keys are entered, the function selection menu will reappear.

6. Press the Red and Blue keys at the same time to exit programming.

Note: Store your password in a secure place. If your password is lost, a full system reset will be required, and all data will be lost.

1. Press Red and Blue to access programming mode; you will be prompted for the password.

2. Key in the current password.

3. Press the Yellow key to access the function selection menu.

4. Select function F9 by pressing the Red and Blue keys and confirm by pressing the Green key; you will be prompted for the password again.

5. Key in the password.

6. The password is now deleted and will not be requested for subsequent access to programming mode.

7. Press the Red and Blue keys at the same time to exit programming.

The CAMDEN M-PROX2 has 3 operating modes:

1. Full – All programmed cards will activate both Relay 1 and Relay 2 when presented to the reader.

2. Pass – Hard anti-passback. Once one of the two relays is activated, it will not reactivate until the other relay has been activated.

3. APt – Timed anti-passback. Once one of the relays has been activated, it cannot be reactivated until the preset timer has run out.

1. Access programming mode by pressing the Red and Blue keys.

2. Press the Yellow key to access the function selection menu.

3. Select function F11 by pressing the Red and Blue keys and confirm with the Green key. The letter O will appear on the display.

4. Confirm again by pressing the Green key. The state of all users will be set to idle (the first activation is enabled in every direction).

5. Press the Red and Blue keys at the same time to exit programming.

1. Access programming mode by pressing Red+Blue.

2. Press Yellow to access the function menu.

3. Select function F12 using Red and Blue, then confirm with Green.

4. The letter H (Hours) will appear. Select the value using the Red key and confirm with Green.

5. The letter M (Minutes) will appear. Select the value using the Red key and confirm with Green.

6. The letter Mo (Month) will appear. Select the value using the Red key and confirm with Green.

7. The letter D (Day) will appear. Select the value using the Red key and confirm with Green.

8. The day of the week will appear. Select the value using the Red key and confirm with Green.

9. The letter Y (Year) will appear. Select the value using the Red key and confirm with Green.

10. DST (Daylight Saving Time) followed by Y (Yes) or N (No) will appear. Select the value using the Red key and confirm with Green.

11. Press Red and Blue at the same time to exit programming.

1. Simultaneously press the Red and Blue keys.

2. Press the Yellow key to access the function selection menu.

3. Select function F13 using the Red and Blue keys and confirm with Green.

4. The current parameter value will appear. Select the desired value (GRPY to enable, GRPn to disable) by pressing Red and Blue.

5. Confirm by pressing the Green key; the value will be stored.

6. Press the Red and Blue keys to exit programming mode.

1. Press the Red and Blue keys at the same time.

2. Press the Yellow key to access the function menu.

3. Use the Red and Blue keys to select function F14 and confirm with Green. The display will show the current value location of the first memorized code.

4. Use the Red and Blue buttons to select the location to be reset.

5. Confirm with Green; the display shows “rAPB”.

6. Confirm with Green again; the display shows the location and the user is set to Idle state. Exit by pressing Yellow.

7. Press the Red and Blue keys at the same time to exit programming.

1. Insert the CD/USB memory stick into your computer (Windows 7, 32 or 64 bit).

2. Open the folder containing the M-PROX2 software and run Setup.bat.

3. The system will automatically detect your operating system and start installing.

4. When prompted with a Security Warning, select Run.

5. Select your language and press OK.

6. On the welcome screen, select Next.

7. Select the installation destination or accept the default, then press Next.

8. Select a Program Manager Group or accept the default, then press Next.

9. Select Next to start installing the software.

10. A small utility will run for final configuration changes. Allow it to complete.

11. Select Finish to complete the installation.

1. Open the Camden Software Manager. It can be used without the M-PROX2 connected (offline mode).

2. Open the File Menu and select Installations.

3. From the icons on the bottom of the window, select New.

4. In the Installations dialog, enter all pertinent information about the installation (Client details, date, etc.).

5. From the Memory Type pull-down menu, select M-PROX2.

6. Right-click in the Groups, Weekly profiles, Holiday profiles, and Holidays windows to add/delete as needed.

7. Press the Save button to save the installation profile.

In the Parameters section of an installation profile, you can configure the following advanced functions:

Memory

• Personalized: Select this to force the M-PROX2 to only function with an assigned Site Code. Up to 4 additional site codes or a range of site codes can be added.

Advanced Functions

• Memory Mode:

– Full: Anti-pass back is disabled.

– APB: Anti-pass back is enabled. Relay1 is Entry, Relay2 is Exit.

– APT: Timed Anti-pass back. After entry, a user cannot re-enter for a set period unless they exit.

• Daylight Savings Time: Enable DST for North American (USA) or European (EUR) standards.

• Use Facility Code: Enable the M-PROX2 to look for a facility code when a card is swiped.

• Use REX2 to reset APB: When enabled, a contact closure across pins 5 (Activate) & 6 (Ground) will reset the Anti-Pass Back feature status.

• Relay Weekly Profiles: Activates schedules for when Relay 1 and/or Relay 2 will be held open.

• Local group programming: When enabled, forces any new users added to the system to be assigned to a group.

Creating Groups:

1. From the File menu, select Group and press the New icon.

2. Enter a description for the Group.

3. Select which relays the group can access (Relay 1, Relay 2, or both).

4. Enable Anti-passback if required.

5. Select the Weekly and Holiday profiles applicable to the group.

Creating Holiday Dates:

1. Open the Holiday dates dialog.

2. Set up dates for typical annual holidays like Christmas, Labor Day, etc.

Creating Weekly/Holiday Profiles:

1. Select Weekly Profiles or Holiday Profiles from the File menu, then press New.

2. Provide a description for the profile.

3. Set up to 2 “On” times for each day of the week (for Weekly Profiles) or for the holiday period (for Holiday Profiles) to define access schedules.

1. Plug the M-PROX2 supplied USB cable into a spare USB port on your computer. The driver will be detected and installed automatically if it’s the first time connecting.

2. Open the Computer Control Panel.

3. Select the System Icon.

4. Open the Device Manager.

5. Scroll down to Ports (COM & LPT) and expand the section.

6. Find the entry: USB Serial Port (COMx), where ‘x’ is the COM port number.

7. Select this correct COM port in the Options screen in the Camden Software Manager.

Display/Print Codes:

Under the Online Operation section, select Display/Print to see a list of codes and their parameters stored in the M-PROX2 memory. You can print this list to a PC printer.

Enter Cards/Keytags:

1. Select “Enter Cards/keytags”.

2. Number of codes: Enter the total number of codes for the batch (e.g., 1 for a single code).

3. First code: Enter the first code in the batch.

4. Start address: Enter the starting memory address (1 to 2000).

5. Group: Assign the batch of codes to a group.

Delete Cards/Keyfobs:

Select “Delete Cards/keyfobs”. A list of codes is displayed. You can select one or more codes to delete. Hold the Shift key for consecutive codes or the Ctrl key for non-consecutive codes. “Deletion – Total” performs a complete deletion of all codes.

Copy – Module to Database (MM->DB):

This function reads the contents of the memory module and transfers the codes and personalization into the software database. You can create a new installation profile for the data or merge it with an existing one.

Copy – Database to Module:

This function allows you to transfer the codes and any personalization from one of the database installations to a connected M-PROX2 memory module.

Events:

• Download events: Downloads every event present in the M-PROX2 for display. You can print the list or save it to the database. This does NOT erase events from the device.

• Delete events: Deletes all events in the connected device.

AntipassBack:

• Force all to neutral status: Select this option to force the anti-passback status of all users to neutral. This can be used to avoid users being locked inside during a lock/gate malfunction.

Set Clock:

• Sets the internal M-PROX2 clock using the PC clock.

CM-120Wv2 Keypad Setup:

1. Program the CM-120Wv2 keypad for Wiegand output.

2. Program a Site Code (if required) into the CM-120Wv2.

Programming the Keypad Commands:

• [*1] (default 1234) * – Enter programming mode.

• [*5] 0 # * – Put keypad in Wiegand mode (0=disabled, 1=26 bit, 2=26bit+facility code).

• [*5] 1# * – Set facility code if required (Enter facility Code 0-255).

CAMDEN M-PROX2 (CV-602) Setup:

1. Press DEC and INC together on the M-PROX2 to enter its programming mode.

2. Use DEC/INC to set the memory location required.

3. On the CM-120Wv2 keypad, enter a valid user code and press *.

4. The memory location on the M-PROX2 will have periods inserted after the first 2 numbers. Press Green to accept the programming, and periods are inserted after all 4 numbers (e.g., Memory 0001 -> 000.1. VAL -> 0.0.0.1.).
