To clean the print head on the BROTHER DCP-T225:

Step 1. Press Detener (Stop) and Atajo copia (Copy Shortcut) simultaneously.

Step 2. To clean all colors, press Color (Color). To clean black only, press Negro (Black).

After cleaning, the BROTHER DCP-T225 prints the Print Quality Check Sheet.

If the print quality on your BROTHER DCP-T225 does not improve with normal cleaning, try the Special cleaning. Note that this operation will consume a large amount of ink.

Step 1. Make sure all ink tanks are at least half-full.

Step 2. Use the procedure for normal cleaning, but hold Inicio Negro (Black Start) and Inicio Color (Color Start) simultaneously for five seconds while the Ink LED is blinking.

To remove jammed paper from the BROTHER DCP-T225, pull the jammed paper out of the machine. Be careful to avoid getting ink on your hands.
