4. If a pre-heat function is desired, the appliance may display “5 min” to indicate the pre-heating duration.

Once the appliance is turned on, you can select a cooking mode by pressing the dedicated button for ‘Air Fry’, ‘Grill’ (on HF5073 models), or ‘Fast Oven’. Each mode has a set of pre-defined food categories represented by icons that can be cooked in that mode.


How to use the Grill function (HF5073) including pre-heating and adding food?

1. Insert the grill plate into the basket.

2. Press the ‘Grill’ button to select the grilling mode. The display will show ‘PrE’ (Pre-heat), then the default temperature (e.g., 220°C) and time (e.g., 07 min).

3. Press the Play/Pause button to start pre-heating. The appliance will pre-heat for approximately 10 minutes, then beep and display ‘Add’.

4. Open the basket, add your food, and close the basket. The cooking will resume automatically.

5. To pause cooking, press the Play/Pause button. To end cooking, press and hold the Play/Pause button until ‘End’ is displayed.

6. To turn on the internal light, press the light bulb icon. Press it again to turn it off.


How do I adjust the cooking time and temperature during operation?

1. To adjust the time, press the time icon. The minute digits will flash (e.g., 40 min). Use the arrows to increase or decrease the time (e.g., 39, 40, 41 min).

2. To adjust the temperature, press the temperature icon. The degrees Celsius digits will flash (e.g., 180°C). Use the arrows to increase or decrease the temperature (e.g., 175, 180, 185 °C).


What are the steps for cooking food, such as French fries, using the Air Fry function?

1. Prepare the food (e.g., cut potatoes into fries, rinse them, and dry thoroughly).

2. Add a small amount of oil (e.g., 1x oil) and mix well to coat the food evenly.

3. Place the prepared food (e.g., up to 1000g of fries) into the basket.

4. Select ‘Air Fry’ mode and set the desired time and temperature (or use a preset).

5. Press the Play/Pause button to start cooking.

6. The appliance may signal a ‘shake’ reminder during cooking (e.g., after 10 minutes). Open the basket and shake the contents thoroughly, then close the basket to resume cooking.

7. When cooking is complete, the appliance will signal and display “00” flashing, then ‘End’.

If an error occurs, the appliance may display an error code such as E1, E2, or E3, which will be flashing. If you encounter an error code, it is recommended to unplug the appliance for 15 minutes, then plug it back in. If the error persists, there may be a technical issue.


How should I clean the appliance and its components?

1. Before cleaning, ensure the appliance is unplugged and has cooled down for at least 30 minutes.

2. The basket and grill plate can be washed by hand with warm, soapy water or placed in a dishwasher.
