The BRASS MONKEY GH-2042 comes with the following features:

The external dimensions for the BRASS MONKEY GH-2042 are approximately 943.3mm (L) x 564.3mm (W) x 479.5mm (H).

Please follow these safety guidelines when using your BRASS MONKEY GH-2042:

• The installation of DC power sources in a boat must be handled by a qualified electrician.

• Make sure to connect power to the suitable voltage socket.

• No electrical devices are to be used inside the product.

• The product can be powered on only after being unpacked and put on a flat level surface for over 6 hours.

• Fridge operating angle: The fridge can be operated indefinitely at up to 5 degrees, and can be operated at between 6 and 45 degrees for up to 30 mins.

• The product must be well ventilated. Ensure there is a minimum of 200mm clearance at the back, and 100mm around the sides.

• The product should be in a well-ventilated space, away from heat sources. Try to avoid direct exposure to sunlight.

• Keep the product stable.

• When there is water inside the tank, do not turn the product upside down to empty. Dry the water; do not soak in water.

• Do not put metal in the air inlet vent, outlet vent, or gap.

• Do not connect with power except 12/24VDC, or the 240VAC to 12VDC power adapter (included).

• Do not soak the product in water or wash with water.

• The product should not be repaired. If there are any issues, please consult the place of purchase.

• Turn off the product before cleaning to avoid electric shocks or other issues.

• Keep the product away from wet or humid places.

To operate your BRASS MONKEY GH-2042, follow these steps:

1. Connect to a power source.

2. Press the Power button (O) to switch ON. Long press the same button for three seconds to switch OFF.

3. The internal temperature will display, and the compressor will start.

4. SET: Press the SET button (gear icon) to enter different modes, ECO (Energy Saving Mode), and MAX (Fast Cooling Mode). The factory setting is Max.

5. To set temperature in dual zone mode: When the power is on, press the “+” or “-” button to enter the left zone temperature setting. Then press the SET button (gear icon) to switch to the right box temperature setting. Press “+” or “-” to adjust the temperature for the selected zone.

6. To turn off a zone: In the power-on state, long press the “+” button and the SET button (gear icon) for 3 seconds to turn the left zone on or off. Note: The setting temperature of the left compartment must not be lower than that of the right compartment, and the right compartment cannot be turned off separately.

The BRASS MONKEY GH-2042 can be powered in several ways:

• 12V/24V DC Power: Connect directly to a vehicle’s DC power source.

• 100-240V AC Power: Use the included AC to DC adapter to power the fridge from a standard wall outlet.

• Optional Removable Lithium Battery: The fridge can run on battery power if there is no DC/AC connection.

Battery Charging:

Connect the fridge to a DC, AC, or Solar power source and place the optional battery into the fridge’s battery case. The battery will charge automatically. However, the power supply will prioritize running the compressor, which will cause the battery to charge slowly. For faster charging, turn off the refrigerator. Alternatively, you can remove the battery from the fridge and charge it with an optional battery charger from wall power.

Notice: The battery must be removed from the appliance before it is scrapped. The fridge must be disconnected from the supply mains when removing the battery. The battery needs to be disposed of safely.

There are two optional battery models available for the BRASS MONKEY GH-2042:

Warning: Please do not open or disassemble the battery.

To charge using a solar panel, insert the solar charge cable into the refrigerator’s “SOLAR” interface.

• Max Solar input Voltage: 50V

• Max Solar input Current: 10A

To ensure the fridge is being charged by solar, please turn the fridge on first. The battery icon will flash on the display screen to show the charging status. The fridge can be turned off while it is being charged.

To check the charging status, press and hold the SET button (gear icon) for over 3 seconds to check the battery status and voltage. When the voltage reaches 12.6V and the battery icon stops flashing, the unit is fully charged. Disconnect the wiring to prevent damage to internal components.

Input power for charging should be higher than the refrigerator power draw (about 40-45w). To ensure solar charging power is higher than refrigerator working power, a 100-Watt solar panel is advised.

Warning: Do not charge the fridge/freezer with DC12V and a Solar Panel at the same time. This could seriously damage the fridge and pose a potential hazard.

AC Charging Management:

If the fridge has not been used for a long time, the battery may be discharged, and the fridge will not power on. Please use the AC adapter to charge the fridge battery and run the fridge. After the fridge battery has charged up to 30%, you can switch to other methods for charging.

Car Cigarette Lighter Charging Management (Battery Protection):

The product has a three-level battery protection function to protect the vehicle’s battery. To set it:

1. While the fridge is on, long press the SET button for 3 seconds.

2. The display screen will flash H, M, or L.

3. Select the low voltage protection level L(ow), M(edium), or H(igh) by clicking the SET button.

The factory default is set to H(igh).

• H (High): Should be set when the product is connected to car power.

• M (Medium) or L (Low): Should be set when it is connected to a portable battery or other back-up battery.

If a voltage protection code F1 is shown on the panel, it means the battery voltage is too low. You can try setting the protection level from H to M or from M to L. If the product will keep working after turning off the car engine, the protection level should be set to H, otherwise the product may drain the battery.

Optional Removable Battery: The lithium battery provides back-up power to keep the refrigerator working for short periods while off-grid.

Notice: When not using the battery power or fridge for a long time, please turn off the battery output (Hold the setting button for 3 seconds).

Maintain Battery Charge:

1. Home / Hotel: Use the AC adapter to charge the unit from an AC outlet.

2. Car / Boat: Use the DC port to power the fridge and charge the battery.

3. Outdoor: Charge the battery with an optional solar panel. A portable 12V power system, solar, or petrol generator would be a good companion.

Extended Battery Usage:

1. Cool down the fridge before your journey: It is always suggested to charge the fridge battery and cool the fridge down in advance with the mains to DC adapter the day before the trip. This not only keeps the optional battery more durable but also saves energy for outdoor activities.

2. Disconnecting the Battery: The battery can be removed or disconnected with the side button. This prevents the battery from discharging. The product will work from the AC adapter or car outlet without the battery installed. Note: Please fully charge the optional battery before putting it into storage for 1 month or more.

Freezer (-20°C to 0°C / -4°F to 32°F):

1. Meat should be cut and packed properly when placed in the fridge.

2. Do not put fresh food and frozen food together.

3. Do not store glass containers or other containers which seal in liquid in the freezer, to avoid explosion.

Refrigerator (0°C to 10°C / 32°F to 50°F):

1. Eggs, butter, milk, and bottled drinks can be stored.

2. All food should be packed appropriately before being stored in the fridge.

3. Place food in the refrigerator after it gets cool in order to save energy.

To control your fridge with a smart device, follow these steps:

1. Downloading the Application: Use a pre-installed QR reader on your handheld smart device to scan the QR code in the user manual or on the carton. Alternatively, search for the “BRASS MONKEY FRIDGE” APP in the iTunes App Store (for Apple devices) or Google store (for Android Devices).

2. Pairing the Fridge: Start the application and select the “Search” function.

3. The application will prompt you to pair the fridge by pressing the set button (gear icon) on the fridge’s control panel. Once the set button has been activated, the fridge will be paired with your smart device.

4. Once paired, the application will switch to a control panel, allowing you to control the fridge’s functions, such as power, temperature, cooling mode, and battery protection settings.

Cleaning Instructions:

1. Do not wash the product with water or soak it.

2. Please disconnect from power before cleaning the product to avoid electrical shock.

3. Drain the product simply by removing the plug at the bottom.

4. Clean it with a soft wet cloth.

Long-Term Storage:

If you will not use the product for a long period of time, ensure you:

1. Turn it off and disconnect from power.

2. Remove everything from inside (food, drinks, etc).

3. Drain any remaining water by removing the drain plug, then wipe all internal surfaces with a soft cloth to ensure that they are clean and dry.

4. Keep it stored away from wet or humid places.

The product is not working:

• If using the 240V AC to 12V DC adapter, check the power supply is working.

• If using the DC cable, please ensure the cable still works.

• Check the power supply is working.

• Check if the plug and socket are connected.

• Check the fuse.

• Check the power switch on the control panel is on.

• The compressor has a delay protection and will start 3 minutes after turning on.

Food inside the product is frozen:

• The temperature is set too low.

Water flowing sound inside the tank:

• This is normal. It is the sound of the refrigerant flowing.

Water drops around the case or door gap:

• When moisture in the air meets the lower temperature case, it will naturally become liquefied and condensed. Wipe away with a towel or soft cloth.

Error Codes:

• Code F1 displayed: Low voltage protection. This can be solved by setting the battery protection button from H to M or from M to L.

• Code F2 displayed: Fan overload protection. Please turn off the product and restart it after 30 minutes. If the code displays again, please contact the place of purchase.

• Code F3 displayed: Compressor frequent start protection. Please turn off the product and restart it after 30 minutes. If the code displays again, please contact the place of purchase.

• Code F4 displayed: Compressor is overloaded or working at a low speed. Please turn off the product and restart it after 30 minutes. If the code displays again, please contact the place of purchase.

• Code F5 displayed: High temperature compressor module protection. Please move the product to a ventilated area and turn it off for 30 minutes then restart it. If the code displays again, please contact the place of purchase.

• Code F6 displayed: No parameter can be detected by the controller. Please restart the product. If the code displays again, please contact the place of purchase.

• Code F7 / F8 displayed: Temperature sensor error protection. Please check the sensor terminal.
