The box for the BRASS MONKEY 75L contains the following items:

• 1 x Portable Dual Zone Fridge / Freezer

• 1 x Mains to DC Power Adapter

• 1 x 12/24V Car Cigarette Power Lead

Please adhere to the following safety guidelines when using your BRASS MONKEY 75L:

• The installation of DC power sources in a boat must be handled by a qualified electrician.

• Make sure to connect power to the suitable voltage socket.

• No electrical devices are to be used inside the product.

• The product can be powered on only after being unpacked and put on a flat level surface for over 6 hours.

• The fridge can be operated indefinitely at up to 5 degrees of angle, and can be operated at between 6 and 45 degrees for up to 30 minutes.

• The product must be well ventilated. Ensure there is a minimum of 200mm clearance at the back, and 100mm around the sides.

• The product should be in a well-ventilated space, away from heat sources. Try to avoid direct exposure to sunlight.

• Keep the product stable.

• If there is water inside the tank, do not turn the product upside down to empty it. Dry the water; do not soak in water.

• Do not put metal in the air inlet vent, outlet vent, or gap.

• Do not connect with power except 12/24VDC, or the 240VAC to 12VDC power adapter (included).

• Do not soak the product in water or wash with water.

• The product should not be repaired. If there are any issues, please consult the place of purchase.

• Turn off the product before cleaning to avoid electric shocks or other issues.

• Keep the product away from wet or humid places.

1. Connect the BRASS MONKEY 75L to a power source.

2. Press the Power button to switch ON.

3. To switch OFF, long press the Power button for three seconds.

Once turned on, the internal temperature will display and the compressor will start.

To change between modes on your BRASS MONKEY 75L, press the SET button (gear icon) to enter different modes. You can choose between ECO (Energy Saving Mode) and MAX (Fast Cooling Mode). The factory setting is Max.

When the power is on and the dual temperature zone is active:

1. Press the “+” or “-” button to enter the left zone temperature setting.

2. Press the SET button (gear icon) to switch between the left and right zone temperature setting displays.

3. Press “+” or “-” to adjust the temperature for the selected zone.

Note: The setting temperature of the left compartment must not be lower than that of the right compartment.

In the power on state, long press the “+” button and the SET button (gear icon) simultaneously for 3 seconds to turn the left zone on or off.

Please note that the right compartment cannot be turned off separately.

The BRASS MONKEY 75L refrigerator can be powered by:

• 12V/24V DC power (e.g., car cigarette lighter).

• 100-240V AC power using the included adapter.

• An optional removable Lithium battery if there is no connection to DC/AC power.

Warning: Please do not open or disassemble the battery.

There are a few ways to charge the optional battery:

• Inside the Fridge: Connect the BRASS MONKEY 75L to a DC, AC, or Solar power source and place the battery into the fridge’s battery case. The battery will charge automatically. However, the power supply will mainly power the compressor while the fridge is running, causing the battery to charge slowly. For faster charging, turn the fridge off.

• Separately: You can take the battery out of the fridge and charge it using the optional battery charger from a wall power outlet.

Notice: The battery must be removed from the appliance before it is scrapped. The fridge must be disconnected from the supply mains when removing the battery, and the battery needs to be disposed of safely.

To charge using a solar panel:

1. Insert the solar charge cable into the refrigerator’s “SOLAR” charge interface. Max Solar input Voltage is 50V and Max Solar input Current is 10A.

2. To ensure the fridge is being charged, please turn the fridge on first. The battery icon on the display screen will flash to show it’s charging.

3. The fridge can be turned off while it is being charged. To check the battery status and voltage, press and hold the SET button (gear icon) for over 3 seconds.

4. Input power for charging should be higher than the refrigerator’s power draw (about 40-45W). To ensure the solar charging power is sufficient, a 100-Watt solar panel is advised.

Warning: Do not charge the BRASS MONKEY 75L with DC12V and a Solar Panel at the same time. This could seriously damage the fridge and pose a potential hazard.

If the BRASS MONKEY 75L has not been used for a long time, the optional battery may be discharged, and the fridge will not power on. Please use the AC adapter to charge the fridge battery and run the fridge. After the fridge battery has charged up to 30%, you can switch to other methods for charging.

The BRASS MONKEY 75L has a three-level battery protection function to protect your vehicle’s battery.

To set it:

1. While the unit is on, long press the SET button for 3 seconds.

2. The display screen will flash H, M, or L.

3. Select the desired low voltage protection level L(ow), M(edium), or H(igh) by clicking the SET button.

The factory default is set to H(igh).

• H (High) should be set when the product is connected to car power.

• M (Medium) or L (Low) should be set when it is connected to a portable battery or other back-up battery.

If the product will keep working after turning off the car engine, the battery protection level should be set to H, otherwise the product may drain the battery.

1. Cool down the fridge before your journey: It is always suggested to charge the fridge battery and cool the fridge down in advance using the mains to DC adapter from a wall outlet the day before your trip. Place food and beverages inside the fridge for cooling the day before. This will not only keep the optional battery more durable, but also save energy for outdoor activities once on battery mode.

2. Disconnecting the Battery: The battery can be removed or disconnected with the side button. This prevents the battery from discharging. The product will work from the AC adapter or car outlet without the optional battery installed. Note: Please fully charge the optional battery before putting it into storage for 1 month or more.

Freezer (-4°F~32° F)(-20°C~0°C):

1. Meat should be cut and packed properly when placed in the fridge.

2. Do not put fresh food and frozen food together.

3. Do not store glass containers or other containers which seal in liquid in the freezer, to avoid explosion.

Refrigerator (32°F~50° F)(0°C~10°C):

1. Egg, butter, milk and bottle drinks can be stored.

2. All food should be packed appropriately before being stored in the fridge.

3. Place food in the refrigerator after it gets cool in order to save energy.

1. Download the “BRASS MONKEY FRIDGE” Application. You can use a pre-installed QR reader on your smart device to scan the QR code in the manual or on the carton, or search for the app in the iTunes App Store (for Apple devices) or Google store (for Android Devices).

2. Start the application and select the “Search” function.

3. The application will prompt you to pair the fridge by pressing the set button (gear icon) on the fridge’s control panel.

4. Once the set button has been activated, the fridge will be paired with your smart device and the application will switch to a control panel allowing you to control the fridge’s functions.

1. Do not wash the product with water or soak it.

2. Please disconnect from power before cleaning the product to avoid electrical shock.

3. Drain the product simply by removing the plug at the bottom.

4. Clean it with a soft wet cloth.

If you will not use the product for a long period of time, ensure you:

1. Turn it off and disconnect from power.

2. Remove everything from inside (food, drinks, etc).

3. Drain any remaining water by removing the drain plug, then wipe all internal surfaces with a soft cloth to ensure that they are clean and dry.

4. Keep it stored away from wet or humid places.

If the product is not working, check the following:

• If using the 240V AC to 12V DC adapter, check that the power supply is working.

• If using the DC cable, please ensure the cable still works.

• Check that the power supply is working.

• Check if the plug and socket are connected.

• Check the fuse.

• Check that the power switch on the control panel is on.

• The compressor has a delay protection and will start 3 minutes after turning on.

If food inside the product is frozen, it means the temperature is set too low. You should adjust the temperature to a higher setting.

• Water flowing sound inside the tank: This is normal. It is the sound of the refrigerant flowing.

• Water drops around the case or door gap: When moisture in the air meets the lower temperature case, it will naturally become liquefied and condensed. This is normal. Wipe it away with a towel or soft cloth.

The F1 code indicates a low voltage protection issue. This can be solved by setting the battery protection button from H to M or from M to L.

The F2 code indicates fan overload protection. Please turn off the product and restart it after 30 minutes. If the code displays again, please contact the place of purchase.

The F3 code indicates compressor frequent start protection. Please turn off the product and restart it after 30 minutes. If the code displays again, please contact the place of purchase.

The F4 code indicates the compressor is overloaded or working at a low speed. Please turn off the product and restart it after 30 minutes. If the code displays again, please contact the place of purchase.

The F5 code indicates high temperature compressor module protection. Please move the product to a ventilated area and turn it off for 30 minutes, then restart it. If the code displays again, please contact the place of purchase.

The F6 code means no parameter can be detected by the controller. Please restart the product. If the code displays again, please contact the place of purchase.

The F7 / F8 codes indicate a temperature sensor error protection. Please check the sensor terminal.
