GPS LED:

Lights blue when GPS is on.

Blinks blue slowly when GPS is turning off.

B/W/L (Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, LTE) LED:

Lights yellow when LTE is connected.

Lights white when Wi-Fi is connected.

Blinks yellow quickly when Bluetooth is in pairing mode.

Blinks yellow slowly when Bluetooth is paired.

Recording LED:

Lights orange in normal mode.

Lights red when an event is being recorded (impact detected), or manual recording has started.

Front Security LED:

How do I access the manual recording function on the BLACKVUE DR970X-2CH LTE PLUS?

There is a touch sensor located on the side of the front camera (opposite the lock button side). Press the sensor to trigger a manual recording. Note that the touch sensor can be turned on/off in the firmware settings.


How do I install and power up the BLACKVUE DR970X-2CH LTE PLUS?

Front Camera Installation: Install the front camera behind the rear view mirror. Remove any foreign matter and clean and dry the windshield before installation. Peel off the protective film from the double-sided tape and attach the front camera to the windshield. Adjust the angle of the lens by rotating the body of the front camera.

Rear Camera Installation: Install the rear camera at the top of the back windshield. Peel off the protective film from the double-sided tape and attach the rear camera. Adjust the angle of the lens. Plug the right angle connector of the rear camera connection cable to the front camera (‘Rear’ port). Use the pry tool to lift the edges of the rubber window sealing and tuck in the rear camera connection cable.

Power Up (Cigarette Lighter): Plug the cigarette lighter power cable into the cigarette lighter socket and the front camera. Turn on the engine. The dashcam will power up and start recording.

Note: Make sure to peel the protective film off the front and rear camera lenses to avoid damage from overheating.


How do I install the SIM card in the BLACKVUE DR970X-2CH LTE PLUS?

1. Remove the bracket from the front camera.

2. Unmount the SIM slot by using the SIM eject tool.

3. Insert the SIM card into the SIM card slot.

4. Mount the SIM slot back into the camera.


How do I hardwire the BLACKVUE DR970X-2CH LTE PLUS to the vehicle’s fuse box?

1. Locate the fuse box to connect the hardwiring power cable.

2. Find a fuse that powers on when the engine is turned on (e.g., cigarette lighter socket, audio) and another fuse that remains powered on after the engine is turned off (e.g., hazard light, interior light).

3. Connect the ACC+ cable to a fuse that powers on after engine start.

4. Connect the BATT+ cable to a fuse that remains powered on after the engine is turned off.

5. Connect the GND cable to a metal ground bolt.

6. Connect the power cable to the DC in terminal of the front camera.

To use the battery saver feature, connect the BATT+ cable to the hazard light fuse. The hardwiring cable uses the automotive battery to power your dashcam when the engine is off and features a low voltage power cut-off function and a parking mode timer.


How do I add the BLACKVUE DR970X-2CH LTE PLUS to the BlackVue App using Seamless Pairing?

1. Select Camera in the Global Navigation Bar of the app.

2. Find and Press + Camera.

3. Select Seamless Pairing. Make sure the smartphone’s Bluetooth is turned on.

4. Choose your BlackVue dashcam from the detected camera list.

5. Put your hand on the camera’s touch sensor to complete seamless pairing.


How do I activate the SIM card for BlackVue Cloud on the BLACKVUE DR970X-2CH LTE PLUS?

For BlackVue SIM Card:

1. Insert the SIM card into the camera.

2. After adding the camera to the app, choose the cloud connection method and select SIM card.

3. Confirm the SIM ICCID number and press Next.

4. Check your free trial information and press Next.

5. Input billing information and press Try 1 month free.

6. Once the subscription is done, check your data plan and billing date and press OK.

For 3rd Party SIM Card:

1. Select SIM card in the cloud connection method.

2. Configure the APN settings to activate the SIM card and press Done.

To use the BlackVue Cloud Service, the SIM card must be properly activated for Internet access via LTE network.


How do I set up a Wi-Fi hotspot connection for the BLACKVUE DR970X-2CH LTE PLUS?

1. Make sure your BlackVue dashcam and mobile Wi-Fi hotspot are on.

2. In the cloud connection settings, select Wi-Fi hotspot.

3. Choose your Wi-Fi hotspot from the list.

4. Enter the password and tap Save.

If LTE and Wi-Fi hotspot are both available, the Wi-Fi hotspot will be in priority. If LTE connection is preferred at all times, remove the Wi-Fi hotspot information.

1. Open the App and tap the Wi-Fi mode button on the Onboarding page.

Changing Settings: Press the settings (gear) icon. You can access settings for Firmware, Time, Video, Recording mode, Sensitivity (G-sensor/Motion), System (LED, Speed alert), Wi-Fi, Cloud, and more.

Downloaded Videos: Tap the “Downloaded videos” button to view files saved to your app’s local storage.

1. Remove the microSD card from the dashcam by opening the side cover.

2. Insert the card into the microSD card reader and connect it to a computer.

3. Download the BlackVue Viewer program and install it on your computer.

4. Run BlackVue Viewer. To play, select a video and click on the play button or double click the selected video.

5. To change settings, click on the settings button to open the BlackVue settings panel.

Using BlackVue App: Go to BlackVue App > Select Camera > Settings > Format microSD card.

Using BlackVue Viewer (Windows): Launch the Viewer, click the Format button, select the card drive and click OK.
