LISS BRUSH 3D: A NEW HOT STRAIGHTENING BRUSH FOR A SOFT, GLOSSY, NATURAL LOOK PRODUCT FEATURES • Unique combination of 3 bristle types: • Stiff bristles: effectively untangles hair (1) • Silicone bristles: great styling comfort (2) • Ceramic bristles: intense straightening (3) • Temperature selector: 160°C - 180°C - 200°C (4) • Temperature indicator light (LED) (5) • Double ion cannon: hair is twice as glossy without static electricity (6) • Swivel cord (7) • Heat-resistant insulating mat (8) USE • Plug in the heating brush and select the desired temperature using the temperature selector. As a rule, we recommend using a lower temperature for fine, bleached, and/or damaged hair, and a higher temperature for curly, thick, and/or difficult-to-style hair. The first time you use it, we recommend using the lowest temperature, whatever your hair type. During subsequent uses, you can then increase the temperature setting if necessary (see table below): Temperature Hair type 160°C / Yellow Fine, bleached and/or damaged hair 180°C / Orange Normal, coloured and/or wavy hair 200°C / Red Thick and/or very curly hair •The indicator light corresponding to the temperature level selected flashes until the temperature is reached. • Use the heating brush on dry hair. • Untangle hair first, using a comb. • Take up a section of hair. • Position the heating brush under the section of hair, near the roots. Use the other hand to pull the section taut to ensure that the brush bristles penetrate deep into the hair (FIG. 1). • Slide the heating brush along the hair to the tips, while keeping it taut using the other hand (FIG. 2). • Once you have reached the tips, release the section of hair and end by rotating the handle to give the section movement (FIG. 3). • Continue by placing the heating brush on the top of the section of hair. Always keep the hair taut using one hand and slide the brush from the roots to the tips with the other. (FIG. 4-5-6) • Repeat if necessary. • Let the hair cool down before combing. • After use, switch off and unplug the appliance. Allow the appliance to cool on the insulating mat before storing. Notes: • When using the unit for the first time, you might notice a little smoke and a distinct odour: this is common and will disappear by the next use. • Each time you use the appliance, you may see some steam. Do not be concerned, this could be because of evaporation of the natural oils of the hair, residual hair products (leave-in hair products, hairspray, etc.), or excess moisture evaporating from your hair. • A heat protection spray can be used to provide optimal protection of the hair. • It is quite normal to hear a slight noise, similar to a crackle: this is the characteristic noise of the ion generator. AUTOMATIC SHUT OFF If the appliance is left switched on for more than 1 hour, it will automatically shut off. MAINTENANCE • Unplug the appliance and allow to cool completely. • Clean the appliance thoroughly using a soft, damp cloth without soap to remove all trace of hair styling products and thereby ensure the maintenance of optimal quality of the heating parts of the appliance. SAFETY PRECAUTIONS • WARNING: the polyethylene bags over the product or its packaging may be dangerous. Keep these bags out of the reach of babies and children. Never use them in cribs, children’s beds, pushchairs or playpens. The thin film may cling to the nose and mouth and prevent breathing. A bag is not a toy. • WARNING: do not use over or near washbasins, bathtubs, showers or other containers with water. Store the unit in a dry place. • If you are using the unit in a bathroom, unplug it after you have finished using it. Using the unit close to a source of water can, in fact, be dangerous, even if the unit is switched off. To ensure additional protection, have installed in your bathroom a residual current device (RCD) with a nominal trip current no higher than 30 mA. Ask your electrical fitter for advice. • Never immerse the unit in water or any other liquid. • If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its after-sales service or similarly qualified person to avoid a hazard. 6 7 6 7 8 4 5123 FIG. 1 FIG. 4 FIG. 1 FIG. 4 FIG. 2 FIG. 2 FIG. 2 FIG. 5 FIG. 5 FIG. 5 FIG. 5 FIG. 3 FIG. 6 FIG. 3 FIG. 6
