Before using your AVANTI PPO84X3S – IS for the first time, follow these steps:

Remove all exterior and interior packing.

Check to ensure you have all parts: 1 Bake/Broil/Drip Pan, 1 Oven Rack, 1 Pizza Tray, 2 Crumb Trays (one for the oven section and one for the pizza section), 1 Instruction Manual, and 1 Tray Handle.

Remove all items from inside the oven and clean the interior surface with lukewarm water using a soft cloth.

The heating elements have a protective coating which must be burned off. Open the oven door and set the temperature to MAX. Leave the appliance switched on for approximately 15 minutes. Ensure adequate ventilation during this period as a burning smell is normal during this process.

Select a location for the AVANTI PPO84X3S – IS that is an open area on a flat counter where the plug will reach an outlet. Follow these guidelines:

Set the appliance on a flat, steady surface.

Do not block air vents. If blocked during operation, the oven may overheat and eventually fail.

Keep the appliance away from hot air, steam, or splashing liquids to prevent the unit from breaking down.

The appliance requires 1400W for the Toaster Oven and 1000W for the Pizza Oven. It should be the only appliance operating on the circuit.

The appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). It is intended to fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If it does not fit fully, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to modify the plug.

A short power cord is provided to reduce hazards. If an extension cord is used, its marked electrical rating must be at least as great as the rating of the appliance. Position the extension cord so it does not drape over a counter where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over.

The timer on the AVANTI PPO84X3S – IS can be set for up to 60 minutes. To use it:

Turn the knob to the desired cooking time. The oven will automatically turn off at the end of the time with a bell signal.

To switch off the oven manually, turn the timer selector to the OFF position.

For cooking times greater than 60 minutes, use the STAY ON position. The oven will operate until you manually turn the timer knob to the OFF position.

If you are setting a short time (less than 20 minutes), turn the knob to the 20 mark and then back to the desired cook time for the bell signal to function properly.

To preheat the AVANTI PPO84X3S – IS oven:

1. Turn the temperature knob to the desired temperature.

2. Turn the function selector control knob to the desired function (TOAST / BAKE or BROIL).

3. Turn the timer selector knob to the 20 minute mark and then back to the 5 minutes mark for the oven to preheat.

To toast breads in the AVANTI PPO84X3S – IS, follow these steps:

No preheat period is required before toasting.

Place the bread directly on the rack in the center of the oven and close the door.

Turn the function selector to the TOAST / BAKE setting.

Turn the temperature control knob to the 450 degree F position.

Turn the timer selector knob past the 20 minute mark and then back to the desired toasting level (0 for lightest to 10 for darkest).

The oven will turn off automatically when the bell signal sounds. Open the door fully and remove food carefully.

Note: Lighter breads and waffles require a shorter toasting time, while darker breads, muffins, and English muffins require a longer toasting time.

To use the AVANTI PPO84X3S – IS for baking:

Turn the function selector knob to the TOAST / BAKE position.

Turn the temperature control knob to the desired oven temperature.

Turn the timer knob to the desired cooking time (max 60 minutes). For longer times, use the STAY ON position.

Arrange food on the wire rack or in the Bake/Broil/Drip pan.

Both upper and lower heating elements will cycle on and off to maintain the selected temperature.

When baking is completed, open the door fully and remove food carefully.

To broil with the AVANTI PPO84X3S – IS:

Arrange food on the broiler pan and place it on the oven rack.

Close the door to the first notch, leaving approximately a 2 inch gap at the top to ensure adequate airflow.

Turn the function selector to the BROIL setting.

Turn the temperature control knob to the desired temperature.

Turn the timer knob to the desired cooking time. Only the upper heater elements will operate.

For best results, preheat the oven for 20 minutes before adding food.

Turn food over about halfway through the broiling time. When completed, open the door fully and remove food carefully.

To use convection baking on the AVANTI PPO84X3S – IS:

Turn the function selector knob to the CONVECTION BAKE position.

Turn the temperature control knob to the desired temperature.

Turn the timer knob to the desired cooking time.

Both the bottom and top heating elements will cycle, and the convection fan will circulate air to maintain temperature.

Arrange food on the wire rack or in the Bake/Broil/Drip pan.

When finished, open the door fully and remove food carefully.

The AVANTI PPO84X3S – IS features a dedicated pizza oven section:

Extend the integrated handles of the pizza tray and keep them extended during use to prevent accidents or burns.

Place the pizza in the center of the pizza tray. For a crispier crust, place directly on the tray. For a softer crust, place it on a sheet of aluminum foil.

Turn the function selector knob to the PIZZA position.

Turn the timer knob to the desired cooking time (max 60 minutes).

Check the pizza during cooking to avoid burning, as baking times will vary by manufacturer instructions.

Note: The pizza oven and convection oven cannot be operated at the same time due to wattage limitations. However, the toaster oven section can be used to keep food warm while using the pizza oven via residual heat.

To clean the AVANTI PPO84X3S – IS, follow these instructions:

Unplug the appliance and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.

Remove the crumb tray, wire rack, and drip/baking pan.

Wash the crumb tray, wire rack, drip/baking pan, and metal handling tool with a mild detergent solution.

Use a damp cloth to wash the inside with warm water and a mild detergent. Do not immerse the unit in water.

Do not use abrasive cleaners, scrubbing brushes, or chemical cleaners, as they may damage the continuous clean coating.

Clean the glass oven door regularly with a non abrasive liquid cleaner. Rinse with a damp cloth and dry.

Clean the outside of the appliance with mild detergent and warm water.
