The ARTUSI ATH901B cooker hood consists of the following main components:

1. Filter assembly

Please observe the following safety warnings when using your ARTUSI ATH901B:

• CAUTION: Accessible parts may become hot when used with cooking appliances.

• Do not check the status of the filters while the cooker hood is operating.

• Do not touch the light bulb within half an hour after the appliance has been used. The lamp shall not be covered with thermal insulation or other material.

• Disconnect the electrical plug prior to any maintenance.

• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent, or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.

• This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities if they have been given supervision or instruction. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised.

• When the appliance is not in use and before cleaning, unplug the appliance from the outlet.

• Warning: Failure to install the screws or fixing device in accordance with these instructions may result in electrical hazards.

• The installation must be carried out according to the screws and positions required by the instructions, which will easily damage the connecting wires.

For safe cooking with your ARTUSI ATH901B, please follow these guidelines:

• Do not light a flame under the cooker hood.

• Avoid opening the gasometer when there is no pan on the stove, as it is damaging for the filters and a fire hazard.

• Constantly check food frying to avoid overheated oil splashing and becoming a fire hazard.

• The range hood is intended to be installed over a hob having no more than four hob elements.

• There must be adequate ventilation of the room when the cooker hood is used at the same time as appliances burning gas or other fuels.

• The air must not be discharged into a flue that is used for exhausting fumes from appliances burning gas or other fuels (this is not applicable to appliances that only discharge the air back into the room).

• Regulations concerning the discharge of air have to be fulfilled.

• When the range hood and appliances supplied with energy other than electricity are simultaneously in operation, the negative pressure in the room must not exceed 4 Pa (4×10⁻⁵ bar).

• Observe the warning in the instruction sheet concerning the operation of the appliance when air is discharged from the room.

• Check the voltage and frequency given on the rating plate located on the inside of the hood.

• The recommended installation height for the ARTUSI ATH901B is no less than 600mm and no more than 750mm above the stove’s heating elements and burners. The installation height of the hood shall not be less than 60cm.

• When cutting or drilling into a wall or ceiling, do not damage electrical wiring or other hidden utilities.

• Installation work and electrical wiring must be done by a qualified person(s) in accordance with all applicable codes and standards, including fire-rated construction.

• To install this hood you will require two assistants.

1. According to the provided diagram, make sure of the position of the hood on the wall. Use the stencil to drill four Φ8 holes on the wall.

2. Fix four sets of expanding plugs and screws at the four holes.

3. Hang the hood and let its two installation holes aim at two of the screws. The outside dimension of the screws should be 10mm. Adjust it to the setting position.

4. Screw down the four screws. First, screw down the upper two screws, then screw down the others to secure the hood.

The ARTUSI ATH901B is fully convertible for different venting directions. First, connect the hose with the air duct.

Vertical Venting: This is the most common method. If your kitchen has an attic space above, the ducting may be run up through the cupboard and attic to a roof cap.

Horizontal Venting: If your kitchen has a soffit above the cupboards, you may run the duct up into the soffit and then discharge horizontally through the outside wall to a wall cap.

1. Put the outer chimney and inner chimney together on the windshield.

2. According to the dimension of the chimney fixed bolster, make sure the position of the two chimneys.

3. Install the chimney fixed bolster on the corresponding position on the wall by drilling two Φ8 holes and using wall plugs.

4. Use the Screw ST4*8 to connect the chimney fixed bolster and the upper chimney.

The controls for the ARTUSI ATH901B are as follows:

• Power On/Standby: Press the ⏻ button and the hood will go into standby mode.

• Increase Fan Speed: Press the 🌀 button and the fan speed will change: Low -> Med -> High -> Stop.

• Decrease Fan Speed: Press the 🌪️ button and the fan speed will change: High -> Med -> Low -> Stop.

• Lights: Press the 💡 light button to turn on the lights and press again to turn off the lights.

• Timer (Time-off): When the motor is running, you can press the ⏻ button to set the time-off. Then press the 🌀 button (increase) and the 🌪️ button (decrease) to set the timer to turn off the hood between 1 and 9 minutes after use. Press the ⏻ button to exit the timer setting.

• Set Clock: When the ⏻ button is turned on (hood is in standby), long press the 💡 button for 3 seconds to set the clock. Press 🌀 or 🌪️ to set the time.

Warning: Lamp replacement must be done by qualified after-sales service maintenance personnel. The power of the bulb must not be more than 2W.

1. Disconnect the electrical plug.

2. Use a “-” type screwdriver to remove the damaged lamp from the lamp hole.

3. Disconnect the connectors between the damaged lamp and the lamp wire.

4. Connect the connectors between the new lamp and the lamp wire. Put the new lamp click into place of the lamp hole.

Use only self-shielded lamps (12V 2X2W Max) to prevent undue hot parts, fire hazards, and exposure to UV radiation.

There is a fire risk if cleaning is not carried out in accordance with the instructions. The filter screen must be cleaned regularly.

It is recommendable to clean the metallic filter every three months by carrying out the following instructions:

• Remove the metallic filter from the cooker hood by pressing the latch.

• Wash it in a solution of water and neutral liquid detergent, leaving it to soak.

• Rinse thoroughly with warm water and leave to dry.

• The metallic filter may also be washed in the dishwasher. The metallic filter may alter in color after several washes. This is not cause for customer complaint nor replacement of the metallic filter.
