To ensure safe installation of your AOC I1601FWUX monitor, please follow these guidelines:

• Do not place the monitor on an unstable cart, stand, tripod, bracket, or table. If the monitor falls, it can cause injury and serious damage.

• Never push any object into the slot on the monitor cabinet or spill liquids on the monitor, as this could cause a fire or electric shock.

• Do not place the front of the product on the floor.

• Leave adequate space around the monitor for ventilation to prevent overheating. When installed with the stand, ensure the following minimum clearances:

– Top: 11 7/8 inches (30cm)

– Sides: 4 inches (10cm)

Follow these steps to safely clean your AOC I1601FWUX monitor:

1. Please disconnect the power cord before cleaning.

2. Clean the cabinet regularly with a cloth. You can use a soft-detergent to wipe out stains. Avoid using strong detergents which can cauterize the product cabinet.

3. When cleaning, ensure no detergent leaks into the product.

4. The cleaning cloth should not be too rough, as it will scratch the screen surface.

• If the product emits a strange smell, sound, or smoke, disconnect the power plug IMMEDIATELY and contact a Service Center.

• Make sure that the ventilating openings are not blocked by a table or curtain.

• Do not subject the LCD monitor to severe vibration or high impact conditions during operation.

• Do not knock or drop the monitor during operation or transportation.

• For displays with a glossy bezel, consider the placement of the display as the bezel may cause disturbing reflections from surrounding light and bright surfaces.

For optimal viewing, it is recommended to look at the full face of the monitor and then adjust the monitor’s angle to your preference. You can adjust the monitor’s angle from 5° to 25°.

1. Hold the Smart Cover and Monitor so you will not topple the monitor when you change its angle.

2. Do not adjust the viewing angle over the 5-25 degree range to avoid damage.

3. Do not touch the LCD screen when you change the angle, as it may cause damage or break the LCD screen.

The AOC I1601FWUX monitor also supports an auto-pivot function to keep the display upright as the monitor is rotated between portrait and landscape positions. For this feature to work, you must install the I-MENU software (Version 2.0 or higher).

To protect your equipment, always turn off the PC and LCD monitor before connecting.

1. Connect one end of the USB Type-C cable to the USB Type-C port on the monitor.

2. Connect the other end of the USB Type-C cable to the computer.

3. Your computer should detect the USB Monitor automatically.

If your monitor displays an image, installation is complete. If it does not display an image, please refer to the troubleshooting section.

5. Set the resolution slide-bar to the Optimal preset resolution, which is 1920 x 1080.

The single button on the AOC I1601FWUX serves multiple functions:

• When Power is off: Press the button to turn on the monitor.

• When Power is on: Press the button to display the OSD (On-Screen Display) or navigate towards the right direction within the menu.

• When Power is on: Press and hold the button continuously for about 3 seconds to turn off the monitor.

1. Press the bottom key to activate the OSD window.

2. You can now select any one of the functions by quickly repeat-pressing the bottom key. A blue box will navigate towards the right as you press the key. The selection is a one-way loop.

3. Release the key once the blue box highlights the option you want to choose. The blue box will remain on the selected function for about 3 seconds, and the function icon will flash three times to confirm the choice and activate it.

Note: The main menu will disappear if there is no action for about 3 seconds. Before entering the OSD menu, if you continually press the button for more than 3 seconds, the monitor will power off.

5. Click the “Monitor” tab and then click the “Properties” button.

6. Click the “Driver” tab.

7. Click on “Update Driver…” to open the update window.

8. Click “Browse my computer for driver software”.

9. Select “Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer”.

10. Click the “Have Disk” button. Click “Browse” and navigate to your CD-ROM drive (e.g., X:\Driver\module name).

11. Select the “xxx.inf” file and click the “Open” button, then click “OK”.

12. Select your monitor model and click “Next”. The files will be copied from the CD to your hard disk drive.

13. Close all open windows and remove the CD.

14. Restart the system. The system will automatically select the maximum refresh rate and corresponding Color Matching Profiles.

“i-Menu” software by AOC makes it easy to adjust your monitor display settings by using on-screen menus instead of the OSD button on the monitor.

AOC e-Saver is a monitor power management software that features Smart Shutdown functions. It allows your AOC I1601FWUX monitor to timely shutdown when the PC unit is in any status (On, Off, Sleep, or Screen Saver). The actual shutdown time depends on your preferences. Under each of the four PC statuses, you may choose the desired time (in minutes) from the pull-down menu for your monitor to automatically shut down.

“Screen+” software by AOC is a desktop screen splitting tool. It splits the desktop into different panels, and each panel displays a different window. You only need to drag the window to a corresponding panel when you want to access it. It supports multiple monitor displays to make your task easier.

If your AOC I1601FWUX monitor does not turn on, try the following solutions:

• Check the connectors. Make sure the USB cable is firmly connected to the monitor.

• Disconnect and reconnect the USB cable again.

• Check the condition of the USB cable. If the cable is frayed or damaged, replace the cable. If the connectors are soiled, wipe them with a clean cloth.

If the screen is blank while the computer is on, try these steps:

• Make sure the USB cable is properly connected to the computer.

• Make sure the computer is on and working. The computer may be in sleep or power-saving mode, or displaying a blank screen saver. Move the mouse to “wake up” the computer.

This issue can be caused by electrical interference. Move any electrical devices that may cause interference away from the monitor.

For the auto-pivot function to work, you must ensure that the correct I-MENU software is properly installed.

The AOC I1601FWUX monitor is equipped with VESA DDC2B capabilities according to the VESA DDC STANDARD. This allows the monitor to inform the host system of its identity and communicate additional information about its display capabilities.

The DDC2B is a bi-directional data channel based on the I2C protocol. The host can request EDID information over the DDC2B channel.
