Use the following safety guidelines to protect your ALIENWARE 25 AW2525HM monitor from potential damage and to ensure your personal safety:

NOTE: Before using the monitor, read the safety information that is shipped with your monitor and printed on the product. Keep the documentation at a secure location for future reference.

WARNING: Use of controls, adjustments, or procedures other than those specified in this documentation may result in exposure to shock, electrical hazards, and/or mechanical hazards.

CAUTION: The possible long-term effect of listening to audio at high volume through the headphones (on monitor that support it) may cause damage to your hearing ability.

• Place the monitor on a solid surface and handle it carefully. The screen is fragile and can be damaged if dropped or pressed with a sharp object.

• Ensure that your monitor is electrically rated to operate with the AC power available in your location.

• Keep the monitor in room temperature. Excessive cold or hot conditions can have an adverse effect on the liquid crystals of the display.

• Connect the power cable from the monitor to a wall outlet that is near and accessible.

• Do not place and use the monitor on a wet surface or near water.

• Do not subject the monitor to severe vibration or high impact conditions. For example, do not place the monitor inside a car trunk.

• Unplug the monitor when it is going to be left unused for an extended period.

• To avoid electric shock, do not attempt to remove any cover or touch the inside of the monitor.

• Read these instructions carefully. Keep this document for future reference. Follow all warnings and instructions that are marked on the product.

• Certain monitors can be wall mounted using the VESA mount that is sold separately. Ensure to use the correct VESA specifications as mentioned in the wall mounting section of the User’s Guide.

The following components are shipped with your ALIENWARE 25 AW2525HM monitor. Some components may be optional and may not ship with your monitor.

The ALIENWARE 25 AW2525HM Gaming monitor features include:

• 621.8 mm (24.5 in.) viewable area (measured diagonally).

• NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatible Certification, AMD FreeSync Premium, and VESA AdaptiveSync Display certification minimize graphic distortions like screen tearing and stuttering for a smoother, fluid gameplay.

• Supports a high refresh rate of 320 Hz for FHD timings, and a rapid response time of 0.5 millisecond gray to gray in Extreme mode. *0.5 millisecond (gray-to-gray min), 1 millisecond (gray-to-gray most observed) is achievable in Extreme mode to reduce visible motion blur and increase image responsiveness. However this may introduce some slight and noticeable visual artifacts into the image.

• Color gamut of sRGB 99%.

• Tilt, swivel, pivot, and height adjustment capabilities.

• Removable pedestal stand and Video Electronics Standards Association (VESA) 100 mm mounting holes for flexible mounting solutions.

• Digital connectivity through one DisplayPort port and two HDMI ports.

• The monitor is equipped with: One USB 5Gbps Type-B upstream port, One USB 5Gbps Type-A downstream port, One USB 5Gbps Type-A downstream port with Battery Charging 1.2.

• Plug-and-play capability if supported by your computer.

• On-Screen Display (OSD) adjustments for ease of set-up and screen optimization.

• AW2525HM offers an extensive selection of preset modes including: First-Person Shooter (FPS), Multiplayer Online Battle Arena or Real-Time Strategy (MOBA or RTS), Role-Playing Game (RPG), Racing (SPORTS), and Three customizable game modes.

• Key enhanced gaming features such as Timer, Frame Rate, and Display Alignment are provided.

• Security lock slot.

• ≤ 0.3 W in Off Mode.

• Premium Panel Exchange for peace of mind.

• Optimize eye comfort with a flicker-free screen and ComfortView Plus feature which minimizes blue light emission.

• The Monitor adopts Flicker-Free technology, which clears the eye visible flicker, brings comfort viewing experience and preventing users suffer from eye strain and fatigue.

• This monitor uses a low blue light panel and is in compliance with TÜV Rheinland’s hardware low blue light certification Category 3.

Blue light ratio:

• Decreases the level of hazard blue light that is emitted from the screen to make viewing more comfortable for your eyes without distortion of color accuracy.

WARNING: The possible long-term effects of blue light emission from the monitor may cause damage to the eyes, which includes but is not limited to eye fatigue and digital eye strain. ComfortView Plus feature is designed to reduce the amount of blue light that is emitted from the monitor to optimize eye comfort.

The ALIENWARE 25 AW2525HM is compatible with Windows 10 and later.

The operating system compatibility on Dell and Alienware branded monitors may vary based on factors such as:

• Specific release dates when operating system versions, patches, or updates are available.

• Specific release dates when Dell and Alienware branded monitor firmware, software application, or driver updates are available on the Dell support website.

The ALIENWARE 25 AW2525HM has one USB 5Gbps Type-B upstream port and two USB 5Gbps Type-A downstream ports.

NOTE: 5Gbps data rate requires a USB 5Gbps-capable computer.

NOTE: The USB ports on the monitor work only when the monitor is turned on or is in standby mode. If you turn off the monitor and then turn it on, the attached peripherals may take a few seconds to resume normal functionality.

You can install the ALIENWARE 25 AW2525HM monitor to any Plug-and-Play-compatible computer. The monitor automatically provides the computer with its Extended Display Identification Data (EDID) using Display Data Channel (DDC) protocols so that the computer can configure itself and optimize the monitor settings. Most monitor installations are automatic; you can select different settings if required.

CAUTION: Improper or prolonged usage of a keyboard may result in injury.

CAUTION: Viewing the monitor screen for extended periods of time may result in eye strain.

For comfort and efficiency, observe the following guidelines when setting up and using your computer workstation:

• Position your computer so that the monitor and keyboard are directly in front of you as you work.

• To reduce the risk of eye strain and neck/arm/back/shoulder pain from using the monitor for long periods of time, we suggest you to:

1. Set the distance of the screen between 20 in. to 28 in. (50 cm to 70 cm) from your eyes.

2. Blink frequently to moisten your eyes or wet your eyes with water after prolonged usage of the monitor.

3. Take regular and frequent breaks for 20 minutes every two hours.

4. Look away from your monitor and gaze at a distant object at 20 feet away for at least 20 seconds during the breaks.

5. Perform stretches to relieve tension in the neck, arms, back, and shoulders during the breaks.

• Make sure that the monitor screen is at eye level or slightly lower when you are sitting in front of the monitor.

• Adjust the tilt of the monitor, its contrast, and brightness settings.

• Adjust the ambient lighting around you to minimize reflections and glare on the monitor screen.

• Use a chair that provides good lower-back support.

• Keep your forearms horizontal with your wrists in a neutral, comfortable position while using the keyboard or mouse.

• Always leave space to rest your hands while using the keyboard or mouse.

• Let your upper arms rest naturally on both sides.

• Ensure that your feet are resting flat on the floor.

• When sitting, make sure that the weight of your legs is on your feet and not on the front portion of your seat. Adjust your chair’s height or use a footrest if necessary to maintain a proper posture.

• Vary your work activities. Try to organize your work so that you do not have to sit and work for extended periods of time.

• Keep the area under your desk clear of obstructions and cables or power cables that may interfere with comfortable seating or present a potential trip hazard.

To ensure the ALIENWARE 25 AW2525HM monitor is handled safely when lifting or moving it, follow the guidelines that are mentioned below:

• Before moving or lifting the monitor, turn off your computer and the monitor.

• Disconnect all cables from the monitor.

• Place the monitor in the original box with the original packing materials.

• Hold the bottom edge and the side of the monitor firmly without applying excessive pressure when lifting or moving the monitor.

• When lifting or moving the monitor, ensure that the screen is facing away from you and do not press on the display area to avoid any scratches or damage.

• When transporting the monitor, avoid any sudden shock or vibration to it.

• When lifting or moving the monitor, do not turn the monitor upside down while holding the stand base or stand riser. This may result in accidental damage to the monitor or cause personal injury.

CAUTION: Read and follow the Safety instructions before cleaning the monitor.

WARNING: Before cleaning the monitor, unplug the monitor power cable from the electrical outlet.

For best practices, follow the instructions in the list below when unpacking, cleaning, or handling your monitor:

• Use a clean cloth that is slightly dampened with water to clean the stand assembly, the screen, and the chassis of your Dell monitor. If available, use a screen-cleaning tissue or solution for cleaning Dell monitors.

• After cleaning the surface of the table, ensure that it is thoroughly dry and free from any moisture or cleaning agent before placing your Dell monitor on it.

CAUTION: Do not clean any part of the monitor with detergents or chemicals like benzene, thinner, ammonia, abrasive cleaners, alcohol, or compressed air. You can use 70% ethanol only to clean the screen area.

CAUTION: Using chemicals for cleaning may cause changes in the appearance of the monitor, such as color fading, milky film on the monitor, deformation, uneven dark shade, and peeling of screen area.

WARNING: Do not spray the cleaning solution or even water directly on the surface of the monitor. Doing so allows liquids to accumulate at the bottom of the display panel and corrode the electronics resulting in permanent damage. Instead, apply the cleaning solution or water to a soft cloth and then clean the monitor.

NOTE: Damage to the monitor resulting from improper cleaning methods or the use of benzene, thinner, ammonia, abrasive cleaners, alcohol, compressed air, or any type of detergent will be classified as Customer Induced Damage (CID). CID is not covered by the standard Dell warranty.

• If you notice white residual powder when you unpack your monitor, wipe it off with a cloth.

• Handle your monitor with care as a darker-colored monitor may get scratched and show white scuff marks more than a lighter-colored monitor.

• To help maintain the best image quality on your monitor, use a dynamically changing screen saver and turn off your monitor when not in use.

NOTE: The stand is not installed at the factory when shipped. The following instructions are applicable only for the stand that was shipped with your monitor.

To connect the monitor stand:

1. Align and place the stand riser on the stand base.

2. Open the screw handle at the bottom of the stand base and turn it clockwise to secure the stand assembly.

3. Close the screw handle.

4. Open the protective cover on the monitor to access the VESA slot on the monitor.

5. Slide the tabs on the stand riser into the slots on the display back cover and press down the stand assembly to snap it into place.

CAUTION: Hold the stand riser firmly when lifting the monitor to avoid any accidental damage.

6. Hold the stand riser and lift the monitor carefully, then place it on a flat surface.

7. Lift the protective cover from the monitor.

Tilt and swivel adjustment

With the stand that is attached to the monitor, you can tilt and swivel the monitor for the most comfortable viewing angle.

• Tilt: -5° to +21°

• Swivel: -20° to +20°

Height adjustment

The stand extends vertically up to 110 mm.

Before you rotate the display, extend the display vertically until the top of the stand riser. Tilt the display backwards until the maximum to avoid the bottom edge of the display touching. You can pivot the display 90 degrees clockwise or counterclockwise.

NOTE: To switch the display setting on your Dell computer between landscape and portrait modes when rotating the display, download and install the latest graphics driver.

NOTE: When the display is set to portrait mode, you might experience slow performance while using graphic-intensive applications like 3D games.

After attaching all necessary cables to your monitor and computer, organize all cables by routing them through the cable-management slot on the stand riser.

If a cable does not reach your computer when routing it through the monitor slot, then connect the cable directly to the computer instead.

WARNING: Before you begin any of the procedures, follow the Safety instructions.

WARNING: For your safety, ensure the grounded power outlet is accessible and close to the equipment. To disconnect, firmly grasp and unplug the power cable. Never pull on the cable.

NOTE: Do not connect all the cables to the computer simultaneously.

To connect your monitor to the computer:

1. Turn off your computer.

2. Connect the DisplayPort, HDMI, or USB cable from your monitor to the computer.

3. Turn on your monitor.

4. Select the correct input source from the OSD Menu on your monitor and then turn on your computer.

The security lock slot is located at the bottom of the ALIENWARE 25 AW2525HM monitor. To secure your monitor, use a Kensington security lock (purchased separately) and attach it to a table or other fixed object. For more information, see the documentation that is shipped with the lock.

CAUTION: To prevent scratches on the monitor screen when removing the stand, ensure that the monitor is placed on a soft, clean surface.

To remove the stand:

1. Place the monitor on a soft cloth or cushion.

2. Press and hold the stand-release button.

3. Lift the stand up and away from the monitor.

NOTE: Use M4 x 10 mm screws to connect the monitor to the wall-mounting kit.

Refer to the instructions that come with the VESA-compatible wall mounting kit.

1. Place the monitor on a soft cloth or cushion on a stable flat table.

2. Remove the monitor stand.

3. Use a Phillips crosshead screwdriver to remove the four screws securing the plastic cover.

4. Attach the mounting bracket from the wall mounting kit to the monitor.

5. Mount the monitor on the wall. For more information, see the documentation that is shipped with the wall mounting kit.

NOTE: For use only with UL or CSA or GS-listed wall mount bracket with minimum weight/load bearing capacity of 14.76 kg (32.54 lb).

Power on the monitor

Press the power button to turn on the monitor.

Using the joystick control

Use the joystick control at the bottom of the monitor to make OSD adjustments.

1. Press the joystick button to launch the OSD main menu.

2. Move the joystick up/down/left/right to toggle between options.

3. Press the joystick button again to confirm the settings and exit.

Moving or pressing the joystick brings up the Menu Launcher on the screen, providing access to the OSD menu and shortcut functions. To select a function, move the joystick.

When the Menu Launcher is on, the OSD Status Bar appears at the top in the center of the screen, displaying the current settings of some OSD functions (Resolution, Refresh Rate, Preset Modes, Smart HDR, Response Time, Dark Stabilizer).

You can access the OSD menu by pressing the joystick button and selecting MENU. The following options are available:

GAME

Use this menu to personalize your visual gameplay experience.

• PRESET MODES: Allows you to choose from a list of preset color modes.
– STANDARD: Loads the default color settings of the monitor.
– FPS: Loads color settings ideal for First-Person Shooter (FPS) games.
– MOBA/RTS: Loads color settings ideal for Multiplayer Online Battle Arena (MOBA) and Real-Time Strategy (RTS) games.
– RPG: Loads color settings ideal for Role-Playing Games (RPG).
– SPORTS: Loads color settings ideal for “SPORTS” games.
– GAME 1/GAME 2/GAME 3: Allows you to customize settings such as RESPONSE TIME, GAIN, OFFSET, HUE, SATURATION, and DARK STABILIZER.
– WARM: Presents colors at lower color temperatures. The screen appears warmer with a red/yellow tint.
– COOL: Presents colors at higher color temperatures. The screen appears cooler with a blue tint.
– sRGB: Matches 99% sRGB.
– CUSTOM COLOR: Allows you to manually adjust the color settings (GAIN, OFFSET, HUE, SATURATION). NOTE: This feature is disabled when CONSOLE MODE is on.

• GAME ENHANCE MODE: Adjusts to OFF, TIMER, FRAME RATE, or DISPLAY ALIGNMENT.
– TIMER: Enable or disable the timer at the upper left corner of the display.
– FRAME RATE: Select ON to display the current frames per second.
– DISPLAY ALIGNMENT: Helps ensure the perfect alignment of video contents from multiple displays.

• RESPONSE TIME: Set to FAST, SUPER FAST, or EXTREME.

• DARK STABILIZER: Improves visibility in dark gaming scenarios. The higher the value (0 to 3), the more visible the display image is.

• CONSOLE MODE: Adjusts to ON/OFF, COLOR, GAMMA. Activating gives the best gaming experience for console games. (NOTE: Only for HDMI. Disabled when SMART HDR is active).
– COLOR: RGB default 100, adjustable from 0 to 100.
– GAMMA: Default is 2.2, adjustable from 1.8-2.6.
– SOURCE TONE MAP: Allows HDR content to be tone mapped by the source device. (NOTE: Disabled when no HDR content is displayed).

• ALIENVISION: Customize display modes (VISION 1, 2, 3) for different gaming scenarios.
– VISION SETTINGS (MODE, SIZE, SHARPNESS): Select NIGHT for clarity in darkness, CHROMA for a thermal palette, or OFF. Adjust close-up window size and sharpness.
– CROSSHAIR (STYLE, COLOR): Select a crosshair style and color to aid in aiming.

• HUE: Alters video image color to green or purple (0 to 100). Available only for FPS, MOBA/RTS, RPG, SPORTS modes.

• SATURATION: Adjusts color saturation (0 to 100). Available only for FPS, MOBA/RTS, SPORTS, or RPG modes.

• RESET GAME: Resets all settings under the GAME menu to factory defaults.

BRIGHTNESS/CONTRAST

• BRIGHTNESS: Adjusts the luminance of the backlight (0 to 100).

• CONTRAST: Adjusts the degree of difference between darkness and lightness (0 to 100).

INPUT SOURCE

• DP, HDMI 1, HDMI 2: Selects the video input.

• AUTO SELECT: Turn on to automatically scan for available input sources.

• OPTIONS FOR DP/HDMI: Set to PROMPT FOR MULTIPLE INPUTS, ALWAYS SWITCH, or OFF for auto-switching behavior.

• RESET INPUT SOURCE: Resets all settings under the INPUT SOURCE menu to factory defaults.

DISPLAY

• ASPECT RATIO: Adjusts to 16:9, AUTO RESIZE, or 4:3.

• INPUT COLOR FORMAT: Set to RGB or YCbCr.

• SHARPNESS: Adjusts sharpness from 0 to 100.

• SMART HDR: Enhances display output. Options are DESKTOP, MOVIE HDR, GAME HDR, CUSTOM COLOR HDR, or OFF.

• RESET DISPLAY: Resets all settings under the DISPLAY menu to factory defaults.

MENU

• LANGUAGE: Set the OSD language.

• TRANSPARENCY: Change the menu transparency (0 to 100).

• TIMER (OSD Hold Time): Sets how long the OSD remains active (5 to 60 seconds).

• LOCK: Lock MENU BUTTONS, POWER BUTTON, or both to prevent changes.

• RESET MENU: Resets all settings under the MENU to factory defaults.

PERSONALIZE

• SHORTCUT KEY 1-5: Assign a shortcut from a list of features (e.g., PRESET MODES, DARK STABILIZER).

• DIRECT KEY 1-4: Assign features to the 4-directional movements of the joystick.

• POWER LED: Set the state of the power light to save energy.

• USB CHARGING: Set to ON IN STANDBY MODE or OFF IN STANDBY MODE to save energy.

• FAST WAKEUP: Speed up recovery time from sleep mode.

• RESET PERSONALIZATION: Resets all settings under the PERSONALIZE menu to factory defaults.

OTHERS

• DDC/CI: Enable/Disable adjusting monitor features via computer software.

• LCD CONDITIONING: Helps reduce minor cases of image retention.

• SELF-DIAGNOSTIC: Run the built-in diagnostics.

• RESET OTHERS: Resets all settings under the OTHERS menu to factory defaults.

• FACTORY RESET: Resets all OSD settings to the factory defaults.

MORE INFORMATION

• DISPLAY INFO: Displays the current settings of the monitor.

• ALIENWARE MONITOR SUPPORT: Use your smartphone to scan the QR code to access general support materials.

• Resolution warning message: “The current input timing is not supported by the monitor display. Please change your input timing to 1920×1080, 60Hz or any other monitor listed timing as per the monitor specifications.” This means the monitor cannot synchronize with the signal from the computer. The recommended resolution is 1920 x 1080.

• DDC/CI warning message: “The function of adjusting display setting using PC application will be disabled. Do you wish to disable DDC/CI function?” This appears before the DDC/CI function is disabled.

• Standby mode warning message: “Going into Standby mode…” This appears when the monitor enters Standby Mode.

• Power warning message (Brightness): “Adjusting to this value will increase power consumption above the default level. Do you want to continue?” This appears when you increase brightness above the factory default for the first time.

• Power warning message (Preset Modes): “Adjusting to this value will increase power consumption above the default level. Do you want to continue?” This appears when you select FPS/MOBA(RTS)/SPORT under PRESET MODES for the first time after a factory reset. If you select No, Brightness will be changed to 75% for these modes.

• Monitor wake-up warning message: “No DP signal from your device. Press any key on the keyboard to wake up. If there is no display, press the monitor joystick to open up the Menu and select the correct input source.” This appears if you press any button other than the power button to wake up the monitor.

• Cable disconnected warning message: “No DP Cable. The display will go into Standby mode in 4 minutes.” This floating dialog box appears if the selected input cable is not connected.

• Factory Reset warning message: “Are you sure you want to reset to default settings?” This appears when you select OSD items of FACTORY RESET.

You can lock the monitor control buttons to prevent access to the OSD menu and/or power button.

1. Move and hold the joystick forward/back/left/right for about 4 seconds until a menu appears.

2. Move the joystick to select one of the following options:

• OSD Lock: The OSD menu settings are locked and not accessible.

• Power Button Lock: The power button is locked.

• OSD & Power Button Lock: The OSD menu settings are not accessible, and the power button is locked.

3. Press the joystick to confirm the configuration.

To unlock, move and hold the joystick forward/back/left/right for about 4 seconds until a menu appears on the screen, and then select the unlock icon and close the menu.

To set the maximum resolution for the monitor in Windows 10 and Windows 11:

1. Right-click the desktop and click Display Settings.

2. Click Advanced display settings.

3. Click the dropdown list of Resolution and select 1920 x 1080.

4. Click Keep Changes or Revert.

If you do not see 1920 x 1080 as an option, update your graphics driver.

1. Through Ultra Blu-Ray DVD or Game consoles

Ensure that the DVD player or Game console is HDR capable, such as Panasonic DMP-UB900 or PS5.

2. Through a PC

Ensure the graphics card is HDR capable, with an HDMI 2.1 (TMDS) port and an installed HDR graphics driver. HDR capable application program must be used, such as Cyberlink PowerDVD 17, Windows 10/11 Movies and TV app.

NVIDIA

For a full range of HDR capable NVIDIA graphics cards, refer to NVIDIA’s official information. Ensure to download the driver that supports Full Screen Playback mode, HDR on Win 10 Redstone 2 operating system: 381.65 or later.

AMD

For a full range of HDR capable AMD graphics cards, refer to AMD’s official information. Read the HDR driver support information and download the latest driver.

Intel (Integrated Graphics)

• HDR capable processor: Cannon Lake or later

• Suitable HDR player: Windows 10/11 Movies and TV app

• Operating System (OS) with HDR support: Windows 10 Redstone 3

• Driver with HDR support: Download the latest HDR driver from the Dell support site.

Before installing the AWCC on a non-Alienware computer, ensure your OS is Windows 10 R3 or later, you have an active internet connection, and the supplied USB Type-A to Type-B upstream cable is connected between the monitor and computer.

Installing AWCC through Windows update

1. When the monitor is first connected to a computer where the AWCC application is not installed, the application is downloaded and installed on the computer. The installation takes a few minutes to complete.

2. Navigate to the program folder to ensure that the installation is successful. Alternatively, you can find the AWCC application in the Start menu.

3. Ensure that the USB upstream cable is connected to control lighting effects.

• In the Settings window, click Windows Update, and then click Check for updates to check the Alienware driver update progress.

• If the driver update is not responding in your computer, install AWCC from the Dell Support website.

4. Restart OS.

5. Launch the AWCC.

Installing AWCC from the Dell Support website

1. Navigate to the folder in which you saved the setup files.

2. Double-click the setup file and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.

1. Launch the AWCC application from the Start menu.

2. In the window of Dashboard view, click the monitor image of AW2525HM to access the device view.

3. Select the appropriate panel (GAME or SETTING) to customize features.

GAME Panel

• General configuration: Click the General button to enhance your gameplay experience.

• Customization of vision modes: Click the Vision 1, Vision 2, or Vision 3 button to enhance your gameplay experience.

SETTING Panel

• Display: Click the Display button to adjust the display settings.

• Input: You can select an input source from the Current Input Source dropdown list.

• More: Displays the model number, service tag, manufactured date, and firmware version information of the monitor.

Your monitor provides a self-test feature that allows you to check whether your monitor is functioning properly. If your monitor and computer are properly connected but the monitor screen remains dark, run the monitor self-test by performing the following steps:

1. Turn off both your computer and the monitor.

2. Unplug the video cable from the back of the computer. To ensure proper self-test operation, remove all digital and analog cables from the back of the computer.

3. Turn on the monitor.

The floating dialog box should appear on-screen (against a black background) if the monitor cannot sense a video signal and is working correctly. While in self-test mode, the power LED remains white.

4. This box also appears during normal system operation if the video cable is disconnected or damaged.

5. Turn off your monitor and reconnect the video cable; then turn on both your computer and the monitor.

If your monitor screen remains blank after you use the previous procedure, check your video controller and computer, because your monitor is functioning properly.

Your monitor has a built-in diagnostic tool that helps you determine if the screen abnormality you are experiencing is an inherent problem with your monitor, or with your computer and graphics card.

To run the built-in diagnostics:

1. Ensure that the screen is clean (no dust particles on the surface of the screen).

2. Using the joystick, navigate on the OSD menu and select Others > Self-Diagnostic.

3. Press the joystick button to start the diagnostics. A gray screen is displayed.

4. Observe if the screen has any defects or abnormalities.

5. Toggle the joystick once again until a red screen is displayed.

6. Observe if the screen has any defects or abnormalities.

7. Repeat steps 5 and 6 until the screen displays green, blue, black, and white colors. Note any abnormalities or defects.

If you do not detect any screen abnormalities upon using the built-in diagnostic tool, the monitor is functioning properly. Check the graphics card and computer.

The test is completed when a text screen is displayed. To exit, toggle the joystick control again.
