What are the recommended tools for installing the control head handle?

• 1/8″ and 7/64″ hex keys

• Diagonal cutters


How do I prepare the system and remove the control head covers?

WARNING: Failure to turn off or disconnect the power before you begin this procedure can lead to product damage and result in serious injury or death.

1. Turn off the power to the system.

WARNING: Shock hazard. When you remove or replace the covers, take care not to damage any wiring or tubing. Verify that the covers are secure after you replace them.

2. Use a 7/64″ hex key to remove the four screws securing the control head covers.

3. If necessary, remove any handpieces from their holders or whips.

4. Remove the back cover.

5. Lift up the front cover.


How do I install the additional handle?

1. Position the handle so the screw holes in the handle align with the screw holes in the control head mounting bracket.

2. Use a 1/8″ hex key and the screws to secure the handle.


What are the tubing connections for the brake valves?

Barb Additional Valve Original Valve

How do I install the brake valves and tubing?

1. Cut the cable tie securing the brake valve tubing.

2. Remove the socket head screw and washer securing the original brake valve. Remove the brake valve.

CAUTION: Be careful not to damage the barb.

3. Use diagonal cutters to carefully disconnect the black tubing from the original valve.

4. Trim the black tubing. Leave the yellow tubing attached.

5. Route the black tubing under the touchpad mount that is next to the additional handle.

6. Connect the black tubing to the outer barb of the additional brake valve.

7. Use the socket head screw and washer to secure the additional brake valve to the control head.

8. Route the gray tubing under the touchpad mount, behind the center support, and under the other touchpad mount.

9. Attach the gray tubing to the outer barb of the original brake valve.

10. Reinstall the original brake valve.

11. For each brake valve, leave a service loop to avoid kinking the tubing. Secure the tubing with small cable ties and trim the cable ties.


How do I test the installation?

1. Verify that the new handle is secure.

2. Verify that the control head brake is working from both handles.

3. Verify that the control head accessories are working properly.

WARNING: Shock hazard. When you remove or replace the covers, take care not to damage any wiring or tubing. Verify that the covers are secure after you replace them.

4. Reinstall the covers after you confirm the system is functioning properly.
