Press the release button on the battery compartment cover and slide upward. Then, lift off the cover and insert the battery.


How do I use a microSD card with the XTRA EDGE?

A microSD card (sold separately) is required to save your videos and photos. Insert a UHS-I U3-rated microSD card and close the cover.


How do I charge the XTRA EDGE?

Press the release button on the USB-C port cover and slide downward. Then, lift off the cover and connect a USB-C charger to the USB-C port using the provided cable.


How do I power the XTRA EDGE on or off?

Press and hold the Quick Switch button to power on/off the camera.


How do I take a photo or record video when the XTRA EDGE is on?

Press the Shutter/Record button to take a photo or start/stop recording.


How do I mark a highlight moment during recording on the XTRA EDGE?

During video and slow-motion recording, press the Quick Switch button once to mark a highlight moment in the footage. This allows you to quickly locate specific shots during post-editing.


How do I quickly capture a shot when the XTRA EDGE is off?

Press and hold the Shutter/Record button to power on quickly and begin shooting. Press the Shutter/Record button again to stop recording. The camera will automatically power off if left idle for three seconds.


How do I adjust the zoom on the XTRA EDGE?

How do I view playback on the XTRA EDGE?

Tap to see the last video or photo you took. Swipe left from the right edge of the touchscreen to exit playback.


How do I access the Control Center on the XTRA EDGE?

Swipe down from the top of the screen to access the Control Center. The Control Center allows you to quickly change settings and enable/disable features.

Options include: Quick Switch, Custom Modes, Brightness, General Settings, Full Front Screen, Voice Control, Screen Lock, and Orientation Lock.


How do I manage storage and format cards on the XTRA EDGE?

Swipe down from the top of the screen, then swipe left to access the storage management screen. If a microSD card is used, you can switch to SD card storage.

Tap the right box to format the internal storage or the microSD card.

CAUTION: Formatting will permanently delete all data. Make sure to back up all required data before formatting.


How do I mount the XTRA EDGE to a curved surface?

Step 1. Attach and press down the mount firmly on a clean curved surface, and hold for at least 10 seconds. Wait 30 minutes before attaching the camera. The recommended application temperature is -10° to 40°C (14° to 104° F).

Step 2. Press down on the camera until the clips of the mount adapter are firmly inserted into the quick-release slots on the camera.

Step 3. Secure the assembly using the screw.


How do I use the Vertical Mounting frame with the XTRA EDGE?

Step 1. Lift the clip on the top of the frame and insert the camera into the frame.

Step 2. Push down the clip to secure the camera in place.

Step 3. Secure the assembly using the screw.


How do I scroll through shooting modes on the XTRA EDGE if the touchscreen is not accessible?

When the touchscreen is not accessible, press the Quick Switch button once to scroll through shooting modes.


How do I connect the XTRA EDGE to a mobile phone?

Step 1. Download the Xtra app using the QR code provided in the manual.

Step 2. Enable Wi-Fi and Bluetooth on the mobile device. Launch the app and tap the camera icon on the home screen.

Step 3. Follow the on-screen instructions to connect your camera to the app.


How do I connect the XTRA EDGE to a computer to transfer files?

Step 1. Power on the camera and connect it to a computer using the provided cable.

Step 2. When connected to a computer, a pop-up will appear on the camera.

Step 3. Tap the file transfer option to download the files from the camera to the computer.

Notice: When transferring a file, the camera cannot take photos or record videos.


How do I update the firmware on the XTRA EDGE?

When connected to the camera, the Xtra app will notify you if new firmware is available. Tap the prompt and follow the on-screen instructions to update the firmware.


What do the Status LED blinking patterns indicate on the XTRA EDGE?

The two status LEDs indicate the same status information as follows:

Blinking Pattern Description
Off MicroSD card abnormality (no microSD card detected, microSD card storage is full, or microSD card error)
Solid green Ready for shooting
Temporarily off and stays green Taking a photo
Blinks red Recording a video or taking a countdown photo
Blinks red three times rapidly Powers off the camera or powers on the camera at low battery level
Blinks red and green alternately Updating firmware
Blinks green Charging when powered off
