How do I operate the LPX 12 in Analogue Mode?

This unit is initially activated by Analogue signal. Turn the main power on; the Segment Display will show “AnAL”, indicating that only Analogue mode is active. In this mode, the output will be controlled by the analogue signal, and the Edit and Store buttons will not function.

How do I use the Self Test Mode?

1. Tap the Menu button. The Segment Display will show “SP” followed by a number from 1 to 9, which indicates that Self Test mode is active. A value of 1 corresponds to the slowest speed, and a value of 9 corresponds to the fastest speed.

2. Tap the Edit button to increase the speed. Each tap changes the speed. Pressing and holding down the Edit button will increase the speed quickly.

3. While pressing and holding down the Edit button, tap the Store button. Each tap of the Edit button will now decrease the speed by one. (If you want to increase the speed, tap the Store button while pressing and holding down the Edit button).

4. Tap the Edit button to select the desired speed.

5. Tap the Store button to store the selected speed. The Segment Display will show “Stor” indicating this selection. Then, tap the Menu button to enter DMX Address mode.

How do I set the DMX Address?

1. Tap the Menu button. The Segment Display will show the DMX address of the last change. This unit can function as a DMX pack, allowing you to turn on and control the intensity of non-DMX devices using a DMX controller. The DMX address is indicated by “A” followed by three numbers ranging from 001-512. When the unit is receiving a DMX signal, the DMX LED will continuously blink on the Segment Display.

2. Repeat steps 2-4 from the Self Test mode section to select the desired DMX address.

3. Tap the Store button to store your DMX address. The Segment Display will show “Stor” for 2 seconds.

How do I configure the DMX Channel Mode?

1. Tap the Menu button several times until the Segment Display shows “CH” followed by two digits. This function allows you to use your pack as a 1, 2, 3, 4, 6 or 12 channel switch pack. The default setting is 12 channel switch pack.

2. Tap the Edit button to select the desired setting. Each tap changes the selection within 1, 2, 3, 4, 6 and 12. You may also follow the instructions for self-test mode to change the setting.

For example: When “CH-1” is selected, all 12 channels will be controlled by one DMX channel. “CH-2” indicates that channels 1-6 will be controlled by one DMX channel, and channels 7-12 by another DMX channel. When “CH12” is selected, each channel is controlled by one DMX channel.

3. Tap the Store button to store your setting. The Segment Display will show “Stor”. Then, tap the Menu button to enter the next level.

How do I control the Channel Output Mode?

1. Tap the Menu button several times. The Segment Display will show the current state (Off or Full) of the relevant channel.

2. Tap the Edit button to select the channel you wish to assign its output (Off or Full). The Segment Display will indicate your selection by changing from “-1” to “12”.

3. While pressing and holding down the Edit button, tap the Store button to assign the output of the relevant channel. Each tap changes the output between Off and Full.

When the Segment Display shows “o” in the fourth character, the channel output is “Off”, and the channel is controlled by the DMX signal.

When the Segment Display shows “F” in the fourth character, the channel output is “Full”, meaning the channel is fully on regardless of the DMX signal.

4. Tap the Store button to store your setting. The Segment Display will show “Stor”. Then, tap the Menu button, and the unit will return to Analogue mode.

How do I initialize the LPX 12?

When the Segment Display shows “AnAL”, press and hold down all three buttons at the same time for 5 seconds. The Segment Display will then show “INIt”, indicating that it is initializing all functions.

Several seconds later, the unit will return to normal mode, and all functions will be set to their default settings.
