There are two ways to assemble the stop, depending on whether you want the stop arm on the left or right side of the stop body. For best support mount the stop arm so it’s between the stop body and the work.

If you have the 789S, mount the stop arm to the stop block so that the rounded edge of the stop block (opposite from the T-slot side) faces the front of the track.

If you have the 4512, 4514 or 525S, mount the stop arm to the stop block so that the T-slot edge of the stop block (opposite from the rounded edge) faces the front of the track.

1. Clamp the smooth portion of the pivot pin (4519P) in a vise with non-marring jaws and screw the locknut (NUT010A) on the threaded end of the pivot pin until the nut is flush with the end of the pin.
2. Insert the 1/4″ steel washer (WS001) on the pivot pin (against the nut), followed by the stop arm (4512/14A, 789SA, 525SA) and the 1/4″ nylon washer (WN001).
3. Start the 10-24 set screw (MA002) in one of the 10-24 nuts (NUT004). Slide the nut/set screw into the T-slot indicated in the stop block (4519B).
4. Insert the smooth portion of the pivot pin (4519P) in the diamond/square shaped slot in the stop block and, using the 3/32″ allen wrench (5786) tighten the set screw on the pivot pin, locking the pivot pin in the stop body. Make sure the set screw nut is not rubbing against the nylon washer on the pivot pin. Adjust the locknut on the pivot pin to get the desired amount of tension on the stop arm so it pivots as hard or as easy as you like.
5. Starting from the ribbed side of the stop body, insert the 1-1/2″ hex bolt (HB050) thru the cross hole in the stop body and attach the knob (5540) to the end of the bolt.

Attach the assembled Stop to the edge of the Ultra Track or the Double Track by sliding the bolt head in the T-slot of the track. Position where desired and tighten the knob.

You can read the stop position by sighting along the outside edge of the stop arm and either a scale on our optional Ruler Bar, or a scale placed on a 3/4″ sub-fence or the upper front face of the Ultra Track.
