What tools and parts are needed to assemble the TUCKER GTR3 insulation jacket?
Tools Required:
• Phillips head screwdriver
• Shifting spanner
Insulation Jacket Parts List:
• Left side panel and insulation wool.
• Right side panel and insulation wool.
• Base panel and insulation wool.
• Small hose cover panel and 2 x nuts and bolts.
• Rear Back Panel and insulation wool.
• BBQ Front angle panel.
• Drip tray fascia panel.
• Packet of nuts and bolts.
Before beginning, unpack and check that you have all components for building the Insulation Jacket.
How do I assemble the TUCKER GTR3 insulation jacket?
Follow these steps to assemble your TUCKER GTR3 insulation jacket:
1. Attach Side Panels: Attach the left and right hand side panels to the base panel with the 6 bolts provided. It is recommended to remove the insulation wool for this step. Place the side panels flat and the base panel vertical so the bolts drop down into the holes, making it easier to bolt together. Do not tighten the bolts up yet.
2. Attach Drip Tray Fascia Panel: Attach the front drip tray fascia panel to the front of the jacket. The fascia panel has a pin on each side that locates into holes on the side panels. Insert a spacer into each pin. Insert the right hand side pin into the jacket, then loosen the left hand side pin, insert it into the jacket, and tighten it up. These pins allow the fascia panel to fold up and down.
3. Attach Rear Panel: Attach the rear back panel to the left and right side panels using the bolts attached to the rear of the side panels. A plate with welded nuts on the back of each side panel is used for this. Once the rear panel is attached, you can firmly tighten all the other nuts and bolts.
4. Adjust Rear Panel Height: Place the jacket into or onto the benchtop. The rear back panel’s height can be adjusted to suit your bench top thickness. Loosen the bolts on the rear panel to lift it up or down. You can either run the bench top over the rear panel or lift the panel to be flush with the benchtop surface. Tighten the bolts to secure it in place.
5. Prepare for Gas Hose: Before securing the jacket, place it into position and mark where the hose and regulator need to penetrate through the cabinetry or bench. The regulator penetration hole could be as large as 100mm. Measure your regulator before drilling. Alternatively, remove the hose from the BBQ and drill a smaller hole just for the hose.
6. Attach Hose Cover Plate: A small cover plate is supplied to cover the penetration hole in the base panel of the jacket. Attach this plate with the supplied nuts and bolts using a Phillips head screwdriver and spanner. This reduces the chance of gas entering the firebox in case of a leak.
7. Install Insulation and Hose: Line all sides and the underneath of the jacket with the insulation wool. If you removed the gas hose from the BBQ, re-attach it to the inlet now.
8. Secure the Jacket: Secure the jacket to the cabinetry or bench.
9. Attach Front Angle Panel: Before placing the BBQ into the jacket, attach the BBQ front angle panel to the bottom of the BBQ front fascia.
10. Install the BBQ: Place the TUCKER GTR3 BBQ into the jacket.
• If the jacket is installed between two cabinets, do not secure the BBQ to the jacket. This allows for easier removal for servicing.
• If the BBQ and jacket are sitting on top of a benchtop, you can bolt the BBQ into the jacket using the four bolts and the holes on either side of the jacket’s side panels.
What are the installation instructions and warnings for the TUCKER GTR3 barbecue?
Installation Instructions:
• This barbecue is designed and approved for outdoor use only.
• Be mindful of the installation location. If using a roasting hood, it is better that the prevailing wind blows into the front of the BBQ during cooking.
• NOTE: Strong winds blowing into the back or across the back of the hood while cooking with the hood closed can cause overheating. Hot air retained in the hood may not be released naturally from the rear vent in strong winds.
Installation Warnings:
• Do not use this appliance indoors or on marine craft.
• This appliance shall only be used in an above ground, open-air situation with natural ventilation, without stagnant areas where gas leakage and products of combustion are rapidly dispersed by wind and natural convection.
