Please read the entire manual before installation and use of the TRAEGER HOMESTEAD TFB52Q. Failure to follow instructions could result in property damage, bodily injury, or even death. The following warnings are critical:

A major cause of fires is failure to maintain required clearances (air spaces) between combustible materials. It is of utmost importance that this product be installed only in accordance with these instructions.

Many parts of the grill will become very hot during operation. Care must be taken to avoid burns, both during operation and afterwards, while the grill is still hot.

Never leave the grill unattended when young children are present.

Never move the grill when it is operating.

Let the grill cool completely before moving or attempting to transport.

When operating your TRAEGER HOMESTEAD TFB52Q, you must maintain a MINIMUM distance of 18 inches (45.7 cm) from the grill to combustibles.

When operating this grill under overhead combustibles, a MINIMUM of 40 inches (102 cm) is required.

Before beginning assembly of your TRAEGER HOMESTEAD TFB52Q, please note the following:

The grill is very heavy. Always lift the grill with two people.

You should assemble the grill on a clean, flat surface. You will need to lay it on its back as well as its front at different times during assembly.

To protect the finish of the grill, use the plastic bag that covers the grill as a barrier between the grill and cardboard when assembling the legs.

The following parts and tools are provided in a blister pack for the assembly of your TRAEGER HOMESTEAD TFB52Q:

This step requires two people. First, unbox the grill and remove all contents.

To install the legs:

1. For the legs without wheels (Parts 1 & 2), attach them using 4 ‘A’ Bolts, 8 ‘B’ Washers, 4 ‘C’ Spring Washers, and 4 ‘D’ Hex Nuts.

2. For the wheeled legs (Parts 3 & 4), attach them using 2 ‘E’ Bolts from the side, 2 ‘A’ Bolts from the front/rear, 8 ‘B’ Washers, 4 ‘C’ Spring Washers, and 4 ‘D’ Hex Nuts.

3. Note the correct order for fasteners when attaching legs to the grill body: Insert Bolt (‘A’ or ‘E’), then a ‘B’ Washer, through the Leg, then another ‘B’ Washer, a ‘C’ Spring Washer, and finally secure with a ‘D’ Hex Nut.

Attaching the handle and chimney assembly will require two people.

Handle Assembly:

Attach the Handle (Part 5) to the grill lid using 2 ‘H’ Bolts, 2 ‘G’ Handle Insulation pieces, and 2 ‘F’ Washers.

Chimney Assembly:

Attach the Chimney Base (Part 7) and Internal Pipe (Part 6) to the side of the grill body using 2 ‘H’ Bolts, 4 ‘F’ Washers, and 2 ‘I’ Hex Nuts. Once the base is secure, screw on the Chimney Cap (Part 8).

To attach the front shelf assembly, follow these steps:

1. Attach one Shelf Bracket (Part 13) to the front of the grill body using two of the pre-installed 1/4-20 bolts. Repeat this step for the other side.

2. Attach the Front Shelf (Part 14) to the brackets using four ‘J’ Shoulder Bolts.

Follow these steps to place the interior components and the grease bucket:

1. Place the Heat Baffle (Part 12) inside the grill, centered over the firepot.

2. Place the Drip Tray (Part 11) over the Heat Baffle, ensuring it is properly seated.

3. Place the Grill Grates (Parts 9 and 10) onto the support ledges inside the grill.

4. Hang the Grease Bucket (Part 15) on the hook located on the side of the grill, underneath the grease drain spout.

After you have completed all assembly steps for your TRAEGER HOMESTEAD TFB52Q, you are ready to season your grill. Refer to your Owner’s Manual for operation and seasoning instructions.
