Before installation, please read and understand the following safety instructions:

1. This device is intended for installation in accordance with the National Electrical Code and local regulations. It is recommended that a qualified electrician perform this installation.

2. Make sure to turn off the circuit breaker or fuse(s) and test that the power is off before wiring the device.

3. Please check the junction box for a neutral wire. This switch requires a neutral wire in the junction box for it to work properly.

Follow these steps to install your TOPGREENER TWOS5:

1. Connect the lead wires according to the wiring diagram: Black lead to Line(Hot), Red lead to Load wire, White lead to Neutral wire, and Green lead to Ground.

2. Gently position the wires in the wall box and attach the sensor switch to the box.

3. Mount the device with the “TOP” indicator facing up.

4. Restore power at the circuit breaker or fuse and wait one minute for the device to initialize.

5. Remove the small cover plate to access the adjustment knobs.

6. Locate the adjustment knobs on the control panel to perform tests and adjustments.

7. Replace the small cover plate after you have completed testing and adjustments.

8. Attach the wallplate.

To wire the TOPGREENER TWOS5, follow this connection guide:

Black Lead: Connect to the Hot (Line) wire.

Red Lead: Connect to the Load wire.

White Lead: Connect to the Neutral wire.

Green Lead: Connect to the Ground wire.

The Time Delay knob controls how long the load stays on after no motion is detected.

Default Position: 15 Seconds (Test mode).

Adjustment: The time delay is adjustable from 15 seconds to 30 minutes. Turn the knob clockwise to increase the time delay.

The Sensor Sensitivity Range knob adjusts the detection area of the sensor.

Default Position: Center at 65%.

Adjustment: The sensitivity is adjustable from 30% (Position 1) to 100% (Position 4).

Turn the knob toward the right for greater room space.

Turn the knob toward the left to avoid false alerts in a smaller room and when the switch is near a doorway or heat source.

The Ambient Light Level knob determines how bright the room must be for the switch to remain off, even when motion is detected, to save energy.

Default Position: Daylight (100% at position 4).

Adjustment: The level is adjustable from Daylight down to 30 Lux. Turn the knob counter-clockwise to make the sensor activate in darker conditions. This feature helps to avoid wasting energy by turning on the light during the day.

The TSOS5 model features a 3-position band switch with the following functions:

The push-button on the TWOS5 model functions as follows:

Switched OFF: When the button is pushed in and locked, the Load stays Off.

AUTO Mode: When the button is pressed and released, it returns to the AUTO (Occupancy) mode.

The TOPGREENER TWOS5 sensor switch requires an initial run of one minute after power is restored. During this initial run, the load may turn on and off several times. Do not adjust any settings until the initial one-minute run is completed.

If the load connected to your TOPGREENER TWOS5 is frequently flashing or seems out of control, please check the following:

1. The switch can take up to one minute for its initial run. Allow this process to complete.

2. Check the wiring connections, especially the Neutral Wiring, to ensure it is secure.

If the load does not turn on with motion, try these troubleshooting steps:

1. Check to see if the Ambient Light Level setting is preventing activation. Cover the sensor lens with your hand to simulate darkness. If the light turns on, the ambient light level is correct and the room is too bright for activation.

2. Check the wiring connections, especially the Hot and Neutral wiring, and make sure there is no loose wiring.

If the load connected to the TOPGREENER TWOS5 does not turn off, follow these steps:

1. For the TSOS5 model, make sure the switch is in the ‘AUTO’ mode.

2. There can be up to a 30-minute time delay after the last motion is detected. To verify proper operation, turn the Time Delay Knob to the 15s (Test Mode) setting. Ensure there is no motion in the area. The load should turn off in 15 seconds.

3. Check if there is any significant heat source within six feet (two meters) that may cause false detection, such as a high wattage light bulb, portable heater, or an HVAC device.

4. Check the wiring connections, especially the Neutral wiring to the sensor switch, to ensure they are secure.

If the load turns on without any apparent motion, it may be due to false triggers. Try the following solutions:

1. Mask the Sensor Switch’s lens to eliminate unwanted coverage area, such as a hallway or adjacent room.

2. Turn the Sensitivity Level knob to the left (counter-clockwise) to reduce its range. This helps avoid false alerts in smaller rooms and if the switch is installed near a doorway.
