11. 180° auto-rotating display: For easy viewing at any angle.
What are the specifications of the TP620 thermometer?
Temperature range: -58°F ~ 572°F (-50°C ~ 300°C).
Buttons: Three buttons combined function as LOCK/ °C/°F/CAL.
Auto-off: 90 seconds auto-off feature.
Resolution: 0.1 °C/°F.
Temperature Accuracy: ±0.9°F (±0.5 °C) in the range between 14°F to 212°F (-10°C to 100°C).
Battery: 1 x AAA 1.5V (included).
Display: 180° auto-rotating display.
What should I do before using the thermometer for the first time?
1. Insert one AAA battery with correct polarity (+) and (-) as indicated.
2. Wash the probe tip with a warm soapy sponge or cloth, then rinse and dry.
3. You can wash the thermometer under running water without fear due to its IP65 rating.
4. Please read and follow all instructions provided in the manual.
5. The thermometer is now ready to use.
How do I turn the thermometer on and off?
How do I switch between Celsius (°C) and Fahrenheit (°F)?
How do I measure food temperature?
1. Turn the thermometer on by pulling the probe away from the body.
2. Ensure the desired temperature unit (°C or °F) is selected.
3. Insert the tip of the probe into the thickest part of the food being cooked. Avoid touching bone or heavy fat areas.
4. The thermometer will start measuring the internal food temperature.
5. Wait until the temperature reading stabilizes on the display.
6. The reading can be viewed easily due to the 180° auto-rotating display.
7. If necessary, take a second reading to ensure accuracy, especially if the tip might be near bone/fat or not deep enough.
8. After use, wash the thermometer under running water.

How do I calibrate the thermometer?
The thermometer comes factory calibrated, and generally, you do NOT need to calibrate it. However, if you believe the reading is inaccurate after a long period of use, follow these steps:
1. Use distilled or purified water to make ice cubes in your refrigerator.
2. Get a thermal insulated bottle (or a beaker/regular cup).
3. Fill the bottle with ice cubes (at least 70% of the volume), then top it off with cold distilled or purified water (no more than 30% of the volume).
4. Stir the mixture and let it sit for 10 minutes to reach temperature equilibration.
5. Turn on the thermometer.
6. Immerse the probe in the ice/water mixture, ensuring it doesn’t touch the sides of the container. Wait until the temperature reading drops to its lowest value, which should be around 32°F or 0°C. The calibration can only proceed if the mixture’s temperature is within 28°F to 36°F (-2°C to +2°C). If it’s outside this range, you’ll need to remake the ice/water mixture.
7. Press and hold the CAL button (which is also the °C/°F button) for 5 seconds. “CAL” will display for 3 seconds, followed by the current temperature reading, indicating you are in Calibration mode.
8. Press the CAL button once more to confirm the calibration. The thermometer will then exit the calibration mode.
Note: The Calibration mode only lasts for 15 seconds. If you don’t confirm the calibration within this time, the thermometer will automatically exit the mode.
How do I reset the calibration to the factory default setting?
If you want to undo a user calibration and revert to the default factory setting:
1. Turn on the thermometer.
2. Press and hold the “CAL” button for 5 seconds to enter Calibration mode.
3. While in Calibration mode, press the LOCK button. This will undo the calibration and reset the thermometer to its default setting.
What are some helpful hints for using the thermometer?
• When measuring different foods or types of meat, it may be desirable to cool the probe first by rinsing the tip with cold water.
• It is recommended that you wipe the probe tip clean between readings. This is especially important when taking temperature readings from different foods or meat.
• The thermometer is designed for temporary, hand-held use. Do NOT leave it in an oven.
• Do NOT leave the thermometer in extremely hot foods or liquids (anything over 572°F / 300°C) for more than 1 minute.
• Always take your reading in the thickest available portion of meat. Thin portions are difficult to measure accurately as they cook quickly.
• Avoid touching bone with the probe tip. If the tip touches bone or a heavy fat area, or if you suspect the tip isn’t inserted deep enough, take a second reading to ensure accuracy.
How should I care for my thermometer?
• Do not touch the stainless steel portion of the probe during or immediately after measuring temperatures, as it will be very hot.
• Do not expose the thermometer to extreme high or low temperatures, as this can damage electronic parts and plastics.
• Do not keep the thermometer inserted in food while it is cooking.
• Remove the battery if you plan to store the thermometer for more than four months.
• The thermometer is waterproof (IP65) and can be washed under running water.
