9. Reassemble system and place it back in the aquarium.

2. Gently rinse the Bio-Scrubber under cool water to dislodge clogs. Do not use soap or any other cleaner. Do not remove the beneficial bacteria growing on the Bio-Scrubber.

3. Re-insert the Bio-Scrubber and snap the system hood back into place.


Should I replace the Bio-Scrubber on the TETRA WHISPER EX periodically?

No, do not dispose of the Bio-Scrubber unless it is damaged. It is a permanent part of the filtration system and is not meant to be replaced or disturbed. If it becomes clogged as evidenced by restricted water flow or water flowing over the top of the Bio-Scrubber, follow the cleaning procedure.
