Follow these steps to install the base stand:

1. Place the LED TV on a solid, flat surface. Use a soft material to cover the front screen to avoid any damage.

2. Align the stands with the holes marked “A” and “B” in the lower part of the TV cabinet.

3. Fix the assembly with two BT4X18 screws.

For wall mounting, the back panel of the TELEFUNKEN TF-LED32S40T2 is equipped with 4 screw holes with a spread distance of 100*100 mm. A VESA wall-mount bracket should be used for wall mounting. The bracket is not included and should be acquired separately.

Due to construction peculiarities, it is not recommended to mount the TV on walls using swinging and tilting brackets, as such a mounting may not be steady. The manufacturer is not responsible for improper mounting resulting in damage to the unit.

Outdoor Antenna Connection:

Use a 75 Ohm coaxial cable plug to connect to the TVRF antenna input terminal on the rear of the unit casing.

• HDMI Input: If your video source has an HDMI output, connect it to the TV using an HDMI cable (not included). The HDMI-1(MHL) input can be used to connect a compatible smartphone via a special cable.

• Headphones: Connect your headphones or earphones (not included) to the headphone socket. When connected, the sound output from the built-in speakers will be muted.

• PCMCIA Slot: This slot is used for CI modules obtained from your digital TV provider.

1. Remove the battery compartment cover on the back of the remote controller.

2. Insert two AAA batteries into the battery compartment, making sure that the correct polarity is observed.

3. Put the cover back.

Note: The remote should be pointed at the remote sensor within 8 meters and within 30 degrees. Do not mix new and used batteries. Remove the batteries if the remote is not used for a long time.

• Power On/Off: Press the POWER button on the unit or on the remote to switch the power on (indicator light is on) or off (indicator light is red).

• Volume: Press VOL- to decrease and VOL+ to increase the volume.

• Return: Press the RETURN button to switch between the current and previously displayed channel.

• Mute: Press the MUTE button to cut off sound. Press again or adjust volume to resume sound.

• Change Channel: Press PR-/PR+ buttons or use the number buttons to enter a channel number directly.

Press the SOURCE button, then use the DOWN/UP cursor buttons on the remote controller (or PR UP/PR DOWN on the panel) to select a source from the available list: DVBT – DVBC – ATV – AV – HDMI – USB. Press the ENTER button on the remote controller or the joystick button on the panel to confirm.

First, select the TV source mode and select a channel that broadcasts Teletext.

• HOLD: Press to stop the page from changing. Press again to cancel.

• INDEX: Press to go to the index page.

• CANCEL: Press to cancel the teletext; press again to show it.

• REVEAL: Press to reveal concealed information. Press again to conceal it.

• SUBPAGE: Press to select a subpage, then use Red/Green buttons to select the desired subpage.

• MIX: Press to mix the teletext and the current TV signal image (transparent background).

• RED/GREEN/YELLOW/BLUE buttons: Press these four color buttons to directly access the corresponding color page displayed at the bottom of the teletext screen.

• Clock: Set the time and date manually (only available when Auto Sync is Off).

• Summer Time: Toggle automatic Summer/Winter time switching on and off.

• Sleep Timer: Set the auto off timer to Off/10/20/30/60/90/120/180 or 240 minutes.

• Auto Sleep: Set the auto off timer for when no operations are performed to off/4 hours/6 hours/8 hours.

In the CHANNEL menu, you have the following options:

• Auto Tuning: Press ENTER, select the country and source type (DVB-T, DVB-C, ATV) to start an automatic search and save of available channels.

• DTV Manual Tuning: Select DVB-T or DVB-C mode. Enter a channel number or frequency and press ENTER to start searching.

• ATV Manual Tuning: Select a channel number (Storage To), sound system, and use the search function to find channels. Use Fine Tuning for adjustments.

• Programme Edit: Sort, skip, rename, delete, and add programs to your favorites list. Follow the on-screen instructions.

• Signal Information: View information on the current DTV channel.

• CI Information: Access information for encrypted services when a CI card is inserted.

• 5V antenna power: In DVB-T mode, select On to supply power to the TV’s antenna.

The OPTION menu contains the following settings:

• OSD Language: Select the language of the on-screen menu.

• Audio Languages: Select the audio language for some DTV programs.

• Subtitle Languages: Select the subtitle language in DTV mode.

• TTX Language: Select the language of the Teletext.

• TIME: Enter the Time setting menu.

• HDMI CEC: Turn the HDMI CEC function on or off and see linked HDMI devices.

• PVR File System: Settings for Personal Video Recording. A USB storage device is required.

• Restore Factory Default: Revert settings to default factory values.

• Software Update (USB): Upgrade the TV’s software using a USB storage device.

The Lock System can prevent unauthorized operation of the TV. The default password is 0000.

• Lock System: Turn the feature on or off. When on, you must input the password to change certain parameters.

• Set Password: Set a new system password.

• Block Program: Block or unblock desired programs.

• Parental Guidance: Set the restriction level of parental control.

After changing the password, remember it for future access to locked menus.

To use PVR, insert a USB storage device. The system will automatically create a folder to store recorded files. Recording begins when the REC button is pressed and continues until the STOP button is pressed or the memory is full. Press EXIT to quit recording mode.

Press PVR.LIST to show the list of recorded files. From the OSD menu, you can also pause, stop, fast reverse, and fast forward the recording.

PVR Requirements:

• The USB storage device must have a capacity of at least 512 MB and support the USB 2.0 standard.

• If you have trouble recording, try formatting the inserted storage device (note that formatting will delete all data).

• Do not disconnect the device while formatting is in progress.

Press the EPG button to display the Programme Guide menu. This provides detailed information about the current channel and program playing, as well as information for the next eight days (if available from the broadcaster). Press MENU/EXIT to quit.

Within the EPG menu, you can use the color buttons for different functions:

• Record (Red button): Set the parameters for a scheduled recording. The TV can record while on or in standby mode.

• Info (Green button): See detailed information about the current channel.

• Schedule (Yellow button): Display the list of scheduled recordings.

• Remind (Blue button): Book a program that will be shown in the future.

The CI Information function enables you to watch some encrypted services (pay services). Please insert a CI card into the PCMCIA slot according to the arrow on the card.

• The function is only available when a CI card is present.

• Do not insert or pull out the CI card when the power is on.

• During initialization of the CI card, please do not operate the TV.

• Avoid inserting or pulling out the CI card frequently to prevent damage.

• If there is no picture and/or sound with the CI+ CAM module inserted, please contact the customer support of the service provider.

Insert a USB drive into the USB port and select USB as the source. You can then select Video, Music, Photo, and Text modes.

• Supported File Systems: FAT16, FAT32; with a maximum capacity of 1 TB.

• Supported Video Files: Extensions ASF, AVI, MKV, MPG. Video codecs WMV9, H263, MPEG-4, MPEGII. Audio codecs WMA, MP3, DD(AC3).

• Important Notes:

– For best results, use licensed USB devices from well-known brands.

– Playback of some file formats is not guaranteed.

– Some AVI files may not play correctly due to their parameters, and files over 2 GB may play partially.

– Usage of a USB device with power consumption exceeding 500 mA is not recommended without a supplementary power supply.

– Warning: Using external USB drives containing BIN files in the root directory may cause a malfunction or damage the software.

• Navigation: Use cursor buttons to select folders and files. Press ENTER or the PLAY/PAUSE button to play the selected file.

• Playback Menu: While playing, press the INFO button to show the playback menu at the bottom of the screen. Use LEFT/RIGHT cursor buttons and ENTER to select an operation.

• Controls:

– Press PLAY/PAUSE to pause or resume playback.

– Press STOP to stop playback and return to the file list.

– Press RETURN to stop playback and go to the previous menu screen.

• Delete File: When you select a file to play, you can delete it by pressing the Red button on the remote.

• Music Files: Use FAST FORWARD/REWIND buttons to fast reverse or forward. Use PREVIOUS/NEXT buttons to select desired files manually.

• Photo Files: Use PREVIOUS/NEXT buttons to page up or down. Use LEFT/RIGHT cursor buttons to rotate the image.

• RF INTERFERENCE: Moving ripples across the screen caused by nearby transmitting or receiving short-wave radio equipment.

• DIATHERMY: A herringbone pattern and partial picture loss can result from the operation of diathermy equipment from a nearby doctor’s surgery or hospital.

• SNOW: Weak TV signals from distant stations can result in a picture that gives the effect of falling snow. An antenna adjustment or amplifier may be needed.

• GHOST: A multiple image, caused by TV signals reflected from surrounding buildings, hills, aircraft, etc., can be minimized by correct aerial positioning.

• CAR IGNITION: Nearby cars and electrical motors can cause small streaks across the picture or make the picture roll.
