The EDID switch on the SY ELECTRONICS SLIM 70-PRO SY-HDBT-70SP-T transmitter has three settings:

TP: Generate a Test Pattern, which is configurable via RS232 command. The default is Chequerboard at 1080p.

PRE: Use pre-defined HDMI input EDID. There are 16 EDID options selectable from RS232 commands. The default is 4K60 (4:4:4) 2.0CH.

Pass: Use the EDID data directly from the connected display device.

Follow these steps to set up the SY ELECTRONICS SLIM 70-PRO SY-HDBT-70SP-T extender set:

Connect a video source to the transmitter HDMI input and the display device to the receiver HDMI output.

Ensure the catx cable is wired correctly according to RJ-45 wiring standards.

Plug the cat5e/6/6a cable into the RJ45 jacks of both units.

Connect optional inputs and outputs such as audio, IR, or RS232 if needed.

Power up the extender by connecting the 48V DC power adaptor to either the transmitter or receiver unit. Only one PSU is required due to the iPoC function.
