How do I assemble the STOKKE NOMI chair?
Always read all instructions before assembling the STOKKE NOMI chair and keep small parts away from children during assembly.
1. Assemble the chair on a level surface. Start by attaching the base. Insert the long metal tube into the inside bottom hole of one base and the short tube into the top hole of the same base.
2. Slide the metal tubes into the wood stem with the wheel pointing backward, and then slide the second base on. Insert 4 screws.
3. Use two Allen wrenches to tighten the base to the stem. Hold one screw with the small Allen wrench and tighten the screw on the opposite side with the large Allen wrench. Repeat for the second set of screws. Ensure there is no gap between the stem and the bases.
4. Next, attach the backrest to the top of the stem and secure it with the remaining 2 screws, using the small Allen wrench. When finished, store the 2 small Allen wrenches in the bottom of the footrest for future use.
5. To attach the footrest, unscrew the adjustment knob, remove the plastic washer, and insert the flat metal bolt through the track in the stem. Place the washer back on the bolt with the groove facing out, and carefully thread the knob onto the bolt using only your fingers. Do not use force until you feel it is threaded correctly.
6. Repeat the previous step with the seat, ensuring it is positioned all the way up on the stem. Make sure any attached harness is not twisted and is lying flat over the seat when tightening the knob.
7. After 2-3 weeks of use, retighten all screws. Continue to regularly re-tighten them when necessary.
How do I adjust the seat and footrest on my STOKKE NOMI chair?
You can adjust the seat and footrest on the STOKKE NOMI chair by turning the adjustment knobs to loosen and tighten them.
Adjusting the Seat:
Start by adjusting the seat height. The seat height is correct when the child sits in the chair with their arms close to their body and their elbows are at tabletop level. The seat depth adjusts automatically to the child.
Adjusting the Footrest:
The footrest is at the correct level when the child’s feet are flat on it and their knees are at a 90° angle. Adjust continuously as the child grows.
How should I clean and maintain my STOKKE NOMI chair?
Clean your STOKKE NOMI chair with a damp cloth and a mild detergent. Certain colored foods, like curry and ketchup, may discolor the plastic. Black lines or shoe marks on the base can be removed with a white cleaning eraser. Please be aware that the color of the chair might fade over time if it is exposed to direct sunlight.
