1. Turn on your computer.

2. Use the supplied USB cable to connect the SONY MRW-G3 to a USB port on your computer.

3. Insert a compatible memory card into a slot on the SONY MRW-G3.

4. The access lamp will light up when the card is being accessed.

1. Follow the access instructions of your computer for safely removing hardware.

2. After the access lamp has gone out, you can remove the SONY MRW-G3 from the computer.

To remove a memory card:

• Do not remove a memory card from the slot while the access lamp is lit, as this may corrupt data.

• Once the access lamp is off, you can safely remove the memory card from its slot.

To ensure proper operation of your SONY MRW-G3, please follow these guidelines:

• Do not place this unit in a location that is hot, dusty, humid, or has poor ventilation.

• Do not place this unit in a location that is subject to static electricity or electrical noise.

• Do not touch the terminal part of this unit or memory cards with your bare hands.

• Do not allow this unit to get wet. Only use this unit in a dry location.

• Do not subject this unit to high impact or to high vibration.

• For interior inspection and repair of this unit, consult your Sony dealer.

• Be sure to insert the memory card in the correct orientation.

• When you insert or remove a memory card, be careful not to pinch your fingers between the card and this unit.

• Do not disassemble or modify this unit. Sony is not responsible for any problems that result from this.

• Sony is not responsible for any damage or loss of data.

• When the computer enters the suspend or hibernation mode, disconnect this unit first. If you fail to do this, the computer may not operate correctly. Disconnect this unit and then restart the computer.

• Do not disconnect the SONY MRW-G3 while data is being read, written, or formatted, or when the computer enters suspend or hibernation mode.

• Memory cards should be formatted in a product that is compatible with the memory card.

• Recorded data may be damaged or lost in the following situations:

– If you remove this unit or the memory card while reading/writing data.

– If you use the memory card in locations subject to static electricity or electrical noise.

• Operation with all other computers/devices is not guaranteed.

• For details on operation, check the instruction manual of the connected product.

• The connected product must support USB Mass Storage Class.

• If the card is not properly recognized, disconnect and reconnect it, or restart the computer.

• Do not directly connect this unit to game consoles or other devices besides a computer. Operation of the unit when connected through such devices is not guaranteed.

• If you use a USB hub, it must be a self-powered hub or a hub with an AC adapter.

• It is recommended to use the provided USB cables. If you use an extension cable, data transfer speed may be slower.

• This unit may not function properly when used at the same time as other USB devices. In such cases, connect this unit to a different USB port.

• Depending on the PC, the memory card may not be recognized if the power from the USB port is insufficient.
