Before installing the SOMFY IGC 4N1, ensure that all motors are operating properly with their limits already set. Please note that the maximum direction run time for a motor is 3 minutes.

Follow these steps to wire your SOMFY IGC 4N1 motor controller:

1. Connect power and motors to the board according to the provided wiring diagram. Ensure only one motor is connected per terminal.

2. Once the motors are properly wired and power is applied to the board, the POWER LED will illuminate solid green, and the motors will automatically move to their upper limit.

a. NOTE: If any motors move to the lower limit instead, it means the wires for that motor are reversed. You must disconnect power from the board and reverse the wires from the motor(s) that are moving in the wrong direction.

The wire colors for the SOMFY IGC 4N1 are as follows:

DIRECTION 1: Can be BLACK or RED

DIRECTION 2: Can be BLACK or RED

NEUTRAL: WHITE

EARTH GROUND: GREEN

To set keypad group control on the SOMFY IGC 4N1, follow these steps. NOTE: Motors must be stopped before setting keypad groups.

1. Set the DIP switches to the corresponding keypad inputs you wish to group by moving them up to the “ON” position. There is a single DIP switch that configures both Master Ports.

2. Once the settings have been chosen, press and hold the MOTOR SELECT button until the POWER LED turns off, then release the button. The POWER LED will then illuminate solid green.

To set the default intermediate positions, motors must be stopped. Then, follow these steps:

1. Press and hold the PROGRAM button until the PROGRAM LED illuminates solid green, then release it.

2. The connected motors will move first to the upper limit, then to the lower limit, and finally back to the upper limit. Once this programming sequence is complete, the PROGRAM LED will turn off. The default intermediate positions (25%, 50%, 75%) are now set.

3. Connect your keypad(s) to the inputs using an appropriate Cat5e cable (not included).

4. Confirm the operation by pressing each preset button on the keypad(s).

Please note the following:

a. The STOP button on the keypad activates when the button is released. If the STOP button is pressed and released while the motor is stopped, the shade will move to intermediate position 2.

b. If power is lost or turned off, all shades will move to their upper limit when power is reapplied.

1. First, complete the “Setting Default Motor Intermediate Positions” steps.

2. Using the keypad connected to the motor(s) you wish to control, use the UP and DOWN buttons to adjust the window covering to the desired new intermediate position.

3. Press and hold the preset button on the keypad that you wish to reprogram with the new intermediate position until the motor(s) jogs.

a. NOTE: If a motor with a custom intermediate position needs to be replaced, all custom intermediate positions for all motors will be reset.

To daisy-chain multiple controllers, please follow these instructions:

1. Ensure that all controllers have their motors’ limits fully set.

2. Configure the Master DIP switches on the primary controller to control the desired motor(s).

3. Connect an open Master Port on the primary controller to an empty Master Port on the next SOMFY IGC 4N1 controller.
