To comply with published safety standards when using the SOLAHD GLT24, the following must be observed:

1. The maximum ambient temperature for the power supply must not exceed 50°C.

2. When installing in end-use equipment, ensure compliance with safety standards UL60950-1, EN60950-1, IEC60950-1, and CSA22.2 No. 60950-1-03, including requirements for creepage distances, clearances, and insulation distance between primary and secondary wiring.

3. The rated input voltage is automatically selected. Refer to the specification sheet for the specific input voltage range.

4. The maximum output power must not exceed the rating indicated in the specification sheet.

5. The earth ground wire must only be connected to the point marked with the earth ground symbol on the unit.

6. Disconnect the power supply before servicing as hazardous voltages exist in the primary circuits.

7. When operating with a DC input voltage, the input must be protected by a DC-rated fuse in the end-use installation.

8. This equipment is considered Class I according to protection against electric shock.

The internal fuse for the SOLAHD GLT24 should only be replaced with a 2.5 A, 250 V ac fuse. Acceptable replacement types are:

• SP0001.1008 manufactured by Schurter AG

• 21602.5 manufactured by Littelfuse

The maximum output power of the SOLAHD GLT24 must be derated for ambient temperatures above 50°C. The derating is as follows:

Natural Convection Cooling: The unit can provide up to 25 W of power from 0°C to 50°C. Above 50°C, the power derates linearly to 12.5 W at 70°C.

30 CFM Forced Air Cooling: The unit can provide up to 40 W of power from 0°C to 50°C. Above 50°C, the power derates linearly to 20 W at 70°C.
