The standard mount for the SIGMA ROX 4.0 can be attached to your handlebar or stem using the provided O-rings. An alternative “over clamp butler” mount is also available, which can be installed on handlebars with a diameter of 31.8 mm or 35 mm. Once the mount is securely installed, align the back of the SIGMA ROX 4.0 with the mount and twist it clockwise until it clicks firmly into place.

Using the Heart Rate Sensor:

1. Securely attach the sensor pod to the chest strap.

2. Lightly moisten the electrode pads on the back of the strap with water or electrode gel.

3. Fasten the strap around your chest, just below the pectoral muscles, ensuring the sensor is centered and the SIGMA logo is upright.

Changing the Battery:

1. Use a coin to twist the battery cover on the back of the sensor counter-clockwise to the open position.

2. Remove the old battery and insert a new CR2032 battery with the positive (+) side facing up.

3. Place the cover back on and use the coin to twist it clockwise to the closed position.

To activate your Speed or Cadence sensor for the first time, you need to remove the battery’s protective sticker. Open the battery compartment, take out the battery, and peel off the sticker that covers the contact point. Re-insert the battery. A blue light will flash, indicating the sensor is active and ready to be paired with your SIGMA ROX 4.0.

SPEED Sensor: The SPEED sensor can be mounted on the hub of either the front or rear wheel of your bicycle using the included O-ring.

CADENCE Sensor: The CADENCE sensor should be mounted on the inner side of the non-drive side (left) crank arm using the included O-ring.

The SIGMA ROX 4.0 has three main buttons with the following functions:

1. START/STOP/MENU button (Bottom)

– Press to: Start training, Stop training, Confirm input, or go down one menu level.

– Press for 3 seconds to: Switch the device on.

– Press and hold to: Open and close the menu.

2. PLUS (+) button (Right Side)

– Press to: Go one page forward or increase a value.

– Press and hold to: Save and reset training values.

3. MINUS (-) button (Left Side)

– Press to: Go one page backward or decrease a value.

1. Press the START button for 5 seconds to wake up the device from its sleep mode.

2. The device will prompt you to connect to the SIGMA RIDE App. You can either pair it with the app for easy setup or choose to configure the general settings (like units, time, etc.) manually on the device itself.

3. Once the setup is complete, the device will display “Setting Successful,” and you are ready to start your first ride.

1. Press the START button for 3 seconds to turn on the device.

2. For a fast GPS fix, remain stationary in a location with a clear view of the sky. Wait for the “GPS OK” message to appear on the screen.

3. Once you see “GPS OK,” press the START button to begin recording your training session.

4. To pause or stop the training session, press the START button again.

5. After stopping, a “Reset And Save?” prompt will appear. To save your ride, press and hold the “+” button. This will save the training data and reset the values for your next ride.

6. You can then sync the device with your smartphone to analyze and share your data.

Main Menu: To access the main menu, press and hold the START button when training is NOT started. The main menu provides access to all functions and settings of the SIGMA ROX 4.0, such as Settings, Connection, and Totals.

Short Cut Menu: To access the short cut menu, press and hold the START button while a training session is active or in auto-pause. This menu allows you to quickly edit important settings during your ride, such as Altitude Calibration or toggling Auto Pause on/off.

1. Access the Main Menu by holding the START button when not in a training session.

2. Select “Settings” and press the START button to enter the settings menu.

3. You can navigate through options like “Device” and “Totals”. Choose the setting you want to edit and press START.

4. Use the “-” button to decrease a value or cycle through options (e.g., On/Off).

5. Use the “+” button to increase a value or cycle through options.

6. Press the START button to confirm your selection and save the setting.

1. From the Main Menu, select “Connection” to manage connections.

2. Choose “Sensors” to pair new sensors or manage existing ones.

3. Select “Search New” to begin looking for available sensors.

4. Ensure the sensor you want to connect (e.g., heart rate, speed, cadence) is activated and within range.

5. The SIGMA ROX 4.0 will display a list of found sensors. Use the “+” or “-” buttons to highlight the sensor you wish to pair, then press the START button to confirm the pairing. Repeat this process for any additional sensors.

Note: Some sensors can connect via Bluetooth or ANT+. It is recommended to choose the ANT+ connection for optimal performance.

1. Go to the Main Menu and select “Connection”.

2. Choose the “E-Bike” option to pair a new E-Bike or manage a previously paired one.

3. Make sure your E-Bike is switched on and ready to be paired.

4. The device will begin searching. Once your E-Bike is found, press the START button to complete the pairing process.

1. Locate the USB port on the back of the device and open the protective rubber cover.

2. Insert the provided USB-C cable into the port. Ensure both the port and the cable are completely dry before connecting.

3. For charging, connect the other end of the cable to a USB power source (e.g., a wall adapter or a computer). The power source should not exceed 5V and 1000mA.

4. For data transfer, connect the cable to a USB port on your PC.

Important: Always ensure the USB cover is securely closed before starting a training session to protect the port from moisture and debris.

Please note that SIGMA ROX 4.0 devices have only been tested in the laboratory and in the field in conjunction with original SIGMA mounting systems. For this reason, it is recommended to use original SIGMA mounting systems.
