The intended use of the SCHEPPACH IX-WS925 power tool is the sanding of large areas of drywalls with suitable sanding sheets as a preparation before painting or wallpapering. It is intended exclusively for private household use and must be used in accordance with its intended purpose.

The SCHEPPACH IX-WS925 power tool is not suited for the following tasks:

Preparation of small areas, corners, and edges.

To assemble the main unit of the SCHEPPACH IX-WS925, fold the front sections together and tighten the locking screw. To install the suction pipe extension, insert the suction pipe extension into the connection for the suction tube extension and lock it into place. You should adjust the tool with the extension so that you can work with it comfortably; the machine can also be used without the extension.

Sandpaper for the SCHEPPACH IX-WS925 should be selected based on the following criteria:

Grain Identification: The grain of the sandpaper is indicated on the back. A smaller number indicates a coarser grain.

Before starting work on the SCHEPPACH IX-WS925, set the speed to suit your application. Use a low speed for coarse grinding work and increase the speed for fine work. Adjust the speed by pressing the plus (+) button to increase speed or the minus (-) button to reduce speed.

Step 1. Attach a suitable sanding sheet to the SCHEPPACH IX-WS925 and select the appropriate speed.

Step 2. Hold the tool securely by the gripping surfaces and switch it on.

Step 3. Wait until the tool attachment has reached its full working speed.

Step 4. Guide the grinding plate as parallel as possible to the wall and place it with the brush edge first on the surface.

Step 5. Apply some pressure on the grinding head to bring the tool attachment into contact with the work surface.

Step 6. Move the electric tool over the surface with even movements. Do not hold it in one place for too long to avoid uneven results.

Step 7. Lift the grinding plate from the surface before switching off the tool.

Step 8. Wait until the tool has come to a complete standstill before putting the SCHEPPACH IX-WS925 down.

When working on a ceiling area with the SCHEPPACH IX-WS925, you must fix the grinding head in place using the split pin included in the scope of delivery.
