To turn the SAMSUNG SM-A047F-DS on, press and hold the Side button for a few seconds. To turn it off, press and hold the Side button. Alternatively, open the notification panel, swipe downwards, and then tap the power icon. Tap Power off.

Step 1. Insert the ejection pin into the hole next to the tray to loosen the tray.

Step 2. Pull out the tray gently from the tray slot.

Step 3. Place the SIM or USIM card on the tray with the gold-coloured contacts facing downwards and gently press the SIM or USIM card into the tray to secure it.

Step 4. Insert the tray back into the tray slot.

Before removing the SD card, first unmount it for safe removal. Open Settings and tap Device care → Storage. Swipe to the left to view the SD card page. Tap the menu icon and then tap Unmount.

Open Settings and tap Device care → Storage. Swipe to the left to view the SD card page. Tap the menu icon and then tap Format. Remember to make backup copies of all important data stored in the SD card before formatting.

Step 1. Open Settings and tap Accounts and backup → Manage accounts.

The SAMSUNG SM-A047F-DS touch screen can be controlled using the following methods:

Tapping: Tap the screen.

Open Settings, tap Display → Navigation bar, and then tap Swipe gestures under Navigation type. The navigation bar will be hidden and the gesture hints will appear.

On the Home screen or the Apps screen of the SAMSUNG SM-A047F-DS, drag an app over another app. A new folder containing the selected apps will be created. Tap Folder name and enter a folder name.

To change the screen lock method, open Settings, tap Lock screen → Screen lock type, and then select a method.

Step 2. Tap the Lock Secret mode switch to turn it on, tap Start, and then set a password for Secret mode.

Open the notification panel, swipe downwards, and then tap (Kids). Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup. On the Samsung Kids screen, select the app you want to use.

Open the Samsung Notes app, tap the add icon, and then create a note. When you are finished composing the note, tap the Back button to save it.

Open the Calendar app and tap the add icon or double tap a date. Enter event details and tap Save.

Step 3. On your device, tap the share icon → Quick Share and select the device to transfer the image to.

Step 4. Accept the file transfer request on the other device.

Press the Side button and the Volume Down button simultaneously to capture a screenshot.

Step 1. Connect your new phone and the previous device using your new phone’s USB cable.

Step 2. When the app selection pop-up window appears, tap Smart Switch → Receive data.

Step 3. In the previous device, tap OK.

Step 4. On your new phone, select the data you want to transfer, tap Next, and follow the on-screen instructions.

Step 1. On the Settings screen, tap Connections → Wi-Fi and tap the switch to turn it on.

Step 2. Select a network from the Wi-Fi networks list.

Step 1. On the Settings screen, tap Connections → Bluetooth and tap the switch to turn it on.

Step 2. Select a device from the detected devices list to pair with.

Step 3. Accept the Bluetooth connection request on your phone to confirm.

If the touchscreen responds slowly, try the following:

Remove any screen protector or optional accessories.

Ensure your hands are clean and you are not wearing gloves.

Ensure the screen is not exposed to water or humid conditions.

Restart the device to clear software bugs.

Ensure the software is updated to the latest version.

Launch the Settings app and tap General management → Reset → Factory data reset → Reset → Delete all. Make sure to back up all important data before performing this action.
