The slots and openings in the cabinet and in the back or bottom are provided for necessary ventilation. To ensure reliable operation and protect from overheating, these openings must never be blocked or covered.

Do not place this apparatus in a confined space, such as a bookcase or built-in cabinet, unless proper ventilation is provided.

Do not place this apparatus near or over a radiator or heat register, or where it is exposed to direct sunlight.

Do not place vessels (vases etc.) containing water on this apparatus, as this can result in a fire or electric shock.

Do not dispose of batteries in a fire.

Do not short-circuit, disassemble, or overheat the batteries.

There is danger of an explosion if you replace the batteries used in the remote with the wrong type of battery. Replace only with the same or equivalent type.

Do not overload wall outlets, extension cords, or adaptors beyond their capacity, since this can result in fire or electric shock.

Power-supply cords should be placed so that they are not likely to be walked on or pinched by items placed upon or against them. Pay particular attention to cords at the plug end, at wall outlets, and at the point where they exit from the appliance.

To protect this apparatus from a lightning storm, or when left unattended and unused for long periods of time, unplug it from the wall outlet and disconnect the antenna or cable system. This will prevent damage to the set due to lightning and power line surges.

Before plugging in the AC power cord of the TV, make sure that the operational voltage of the TV matches the voltage of your local electrical power supply. Refer to the power specifications section of the manual and/or the power supply label on the product for voltage and amperage information.

Never insert anything metallic into the open parts of this apparatus. This may cause a danger of electric shock.

To avoid electric shock, never touch the inside of this apparatus. Only a qualified technician should open this apparatus.

Be sure to plug in the power cord until it is firmly seated. When unplugging the power cord from a wall outlet, always pull on the power cord’s plug. Never unplug it by pulling on the power cord. Do not touch the power cord with wet hands.

Be sure to pull the power plug out of the outlet if the TV is to remain unused or if you are going to leave the house for an extended period of time (especially when children, elderly, or disabled people will be left alone in the house). Accumulated dust can cause an electric shock, an electric leakage, or a fire by causing the power cord to generate sparks and heat or by causing the insulation to deteriorate.

Use only a properly grounded plug and wall outlet. An improper ground may cause electric shock or equipment damage. (Class I Equipment only.)

To turn off this apparatus completely, disconnect it from the wall outlet. To ensure you can unplug this apparatus quickly if necessary, make sure that the wall outlet and power plug are readily accessible.

If this apparatus does not operate normally – in particular, if there are any unusual sounds or smells coming from it – unplug it immediately and contact an authorized dealer or Samsung service center.

Be sure to contact an authorized Samsung service center for information if you intend to install your TV in a location with heavy dust, high or low temperatures, high humidity, chemical substances, or where it will operate 24 hours a day such as in an airport, a train station, etc. Failure to do so may lead to serious damage to your TV.

If the product is damaged (dropped or struck), disconnect the power cord and contact a Samsung service center.

To clean this apparatus, unplug the power cord from the wall outlet and wipe the product with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use any chemicals such as wax, benzene, alcohol, thinners, insecticide, air fresheners, lubricants, or detergents. These chemicals can damage the appearance of the TV or erase the printing on the product.

Do not expose this apparatus to dripping or splashing.

See “Caring for the TV” section for more details on screen cleaning.

WARNING – TO PREVENT THE SPREAD OF FIRE, KEEP CANDLES AND OTHER ITEMS WITH OPEN FLAMES AWAY FROM THIS PRODUCT AT ALL TIMES.

Use care when touching the TV after it has been on for some time. Some parts can be warm to the touch.

Samsung takes steps to protect its Smart TVs, but no internet-connected device is completely secure. Take these additional steps:

Install Updates Promptly: When Samsung releases software updates, install them promptly. To receive updates automatically, turn on Auto Update in the TV’s menu (Settings > Support > Software Update > Auto Update). Accept the download and update when prompted.

Secure Your Wireless Network:

* Secure your wireless access point’s management settings with a unique password.

* Implement standard encryption (e.g., WPA2) on your wireless access point.

* Use a hard-to-guess password for your wireless network access.

* Confirm your access point’s firewall setting is enabled (if available).

* Ensure all your Internet-connected devices are behind your network’s firewall.

* If your access point or modem has a standby mode button, use it to disconnect your home network from the Internet when not in use.

Use Strong Passwords: Use strong passwords for all your Internet accounts (Netflix, Facebook, etc.).

Manage TV Camera: If your TV has a camera, recess it into the TV’s bezel when not in use to make it inoperative.

Be Cautious with Permissions: Do NOT accept unexpected messages requesting permission to link a device or enable a remote session.

Avoid Suspicious Sites/Apps: Do not visit suspicious websites and do not install suspicious programs. Install only authorized apps provided by Samsung through Samsung Smart Hub.

Note: The items’ colors and shapes may vary depending on the models. Cables not included can be purchased separately. Check for hidden accessories when opening the box.

The screen can be damaged from direct pressure when handled incorrectly. Make sure to grip the edges of the screen when you lift the TV. Do Not Touch This Screen!

Follow these steps:

1. After the TV is completely set up and placed in its final position, connect the One Invisible Connection to the One Connect box and the TV connection port. Ensure both connectors are fully and firmly connected. WARNING: If either connector is not connected properly, there is a danger of severe electric shock.

2. Connect the One Connect AC power cord to the One Connect box, and then connect the cord to a wall outlet. WARNING: Follow directions exactly. Connect the power cord to the wall outlet as the last step. Always disconnect the power cord from the wall outlet before disconnecting the One Invisible Connection from the back of the TV or from the One Connect box.

3. Connect your peripherals (antenna, cable box, Blu-ray player, etc.) to the One Connect box. See the Accessory Kit for details.

Refer to the illustrated Quick Setup Guide for more information.

Do not install the One Connect box upside-down or standing upright on one of its sides.

When connecting the One Invisible Connection, use the Bending Cover to bend the cable. The Bending Cover prevents the cable from being bent at a 90-degree angle, which can damage the cable.

Pay attention to the shapes and sizes of the connectors to ensure they are connected correctly. Failure to do so may cause product malfunction.

Be careful not to twist the One Invisible Connection cable. Failure to do so may cause performance degradation or damage to the cable.

When arranging the remaining cable, follow the correct arrangement shown in the manual.

Do not subject the cable to bending, twisting, pulling, or pressing. The cable contains a power circuit, and damage could lead to electric shock.

Handle the One Connect box carefully; it is heavy.

CLASS 1 LASER PRODUCT (One Invisible Connection): Caution – Invisible laser radiation when open. Do not stare into beam.

Do not bend the One Invisible Connection cable excessively.

Do not cut the cable.

Do not place heavy objects on the cable.

Do not disassemble either of the cable connectors.

Caution: Use of controls, adjustments, or the performance of procedures other than those specified herein may result in hazardous radiation exposure.

If you mount this TV on a wall, follow the instructions exactly as set out by the manufacturer. Incorrect mounting may cause the TV to slide or fall, leading to serious injury and damage.

For models providing wall mount adapters, install the adapters before installing the wall mount kit. Refer to the installation manual included with the Samsung wall mount kit.

Samsung Electronics is not responsible for damage or injury if you install the wall mount yourself.

To order a wall mount kit, contact Samsung service center at 1-800-SAMSUNG (1-800-726-7864).

Install the wall mount on a solid wall perpendicular to the floor. Contact your dealer if installing on surfaces other than plasterboard.

If installing on a ceiling or slanted wall, the TV may fall.

Fasten all four VESA screws when installing a wall mount kit.

If using a wall mount kit that attaches with only two top screws, use a Samsung wall mount kit supporting this type (availability depends on region).

Use screws that comply with VESA standard screw specifications. Refer to the table below for standard dimensions and screw length (C).

Important Warnings:

Do not install the wall mount kit while the TV is turned on (risk of electric shock).

Do not use screws longer than the standard dimension or non-VESA compliant screws. Screws that are too long may damage the inside of the TV.

For non-VESA compliant wall mounts, screw length may differ.

Do not fasten screws too firmly; this may damage the product or cause it to fall.

Samsung is not liable for accidents caused by using non-VESA or non-specified wall mounts or failing to follow installation instructions.

Do not mount the TV at more than a 15-degree tilt.

Always have two people mount the TV onto a wall. For 82 inch or larger models, have four people mount the TV.

When installing the TV and One Connect, maintain a distance of at least 4 inches (10 cm) between the One Connect box and other objects (walls, cabinet sides, etc.) to ensure proper ventilation. Failure to maintain proper ventilation may result in a fire or a product problem due to increased internal temperature.

Whether using a stand or wall mount, use parts provided by Samsung Electronics only. Using parts from another manufacturer may cause product difficulties or injury from falling.

Caution: Pulling, pushing, or climbing on the TV may cause it to fall, potentially causing serious injury or death, especially to children. Follow all safety precautions provided in the Safety Flyer included with your TV. For added stability, you can purchase and install an anti-fall device:

1. Using appropriate screws, firmly fasten a set of brackets to the wall. Confirm screws are firmly attached (you may need wall anchors depending on wall type).

2. Using appropriately sized screws, firmly fasten a set of brackets to the TV (refer to the “Standard Screw” column in the VESA table on the wall mounting page for screw specs).

3. Connect the brackets fixed to the TV and the brackets fixed to the wall with a durable, heavy-duty string, then tie the string tightly.

Install the TV near the wall so it does not fall backwards.

Connect the string so the brackets fixed to the wall are at the same height as or lower than the brackets fixed to the TV.

WARNING: Never place a television set in an unstable location. It may fall, causing serious personal injury or death. Prevent injuries, especially to children, by taking simple precautions:

* Use cabinets or stands recommended by the TV manufacturer.

* Only use furniture that can safely support the TV.

* Ensure the TV is not overhanging the edge of supporting furniture.

* Do not place the TV on tall furniture (e.g., cupboards, bookcases) without anchoring both the furniture and the TV to a suitable support.

* Do not place the TV on cloth or other materials between the TV and supporting furniture.

* Educate children about the dangers of climbing on furniture to reach the TV or its controls.

* If relocating an existing TV, apply the same precautions.

When installing a sound bar (3 inches or less in height) on the TV stand, attach the provided RUBBER-FOOTs to the bottom of the sound bar before mounting it. Ensure the RUBBER-FOOTs are not outside the width of the TV stand.

(Note: Images, buttons, and functions may differ by model. Universal Remote function works only with the included Samsung Smart Remote.)

Power: Press to turn the TV on or off.

Color/Number (123): Press to toggle the colored buttons window and virtual numeric pad. Use colored buttons for specific feature options. Use numeric pad to enter values (change channel, enter PIN, ZIP code, etc.).

Bixby: Press and hold, say a command, release to run Bixby. Press briefly to open the Explore Now menu. (Supported languages/features vary by region. See e-Manual: Smart Features > Using Bixby).

Ambient Mode: In TV mode, press to enter Ambient Mode. If TV is off, press to turn on in Ambient Mode. (See e-Manual: Smart Features > Using the Ambient Mode).

Select: Selects or runs a focused item. Press while watching content to view detailed program information.

Directional pad (up/down/left/right): Moves focus and changes values in the TV menu.

Return: Returns to the previous menu. Press and hold (1+ sec) to terminate the running function. Press while watching a program to switch to the previous channel.

Play/pause (▷ǁ): Shows playback controls when media content is playing.

Volume (VOL): Move button up/down to adjust volume. Press the button to mute. Press and hold (1+ sec) to open Accessibility Shortcuts menu.

Channel (CH): Move button up/down to change channel. Press the button to open the Guide screen.

Smart Hub: Returns to the Home Screen.

App Buttons (e.g., NETFLIX, prime video, WWW): Launch the indicated app.

When you turn the TV on for the first time, the Samsung Smart Remote should pair automatically. If it doesn’t, point the remote at the TV’s remote control sensor, then press and hold the ‘Return’ and ‘Play/pause’ buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds or more.

Push the rear cover open in the direction of the arrow at the bottom. Insert two AA batteries, ensuring the positive (+) and negative (-) ends face the correct direction. Close the rear cover. Alkaline batteries are recommended for longer life.

When you turn the TV on for the first time, the Initial Setup starts automatically. Follow the on-screen instructions to configure basic settings.

You can use the SmartThings app on your mobile device (Android 6.0+ or iOS 10+) connected via Wi-Fi to perform the Initial Setup. If the setup pop-up doesn’t appear in the app, manually add the TV using Add Device in the SmartThings dashboard.

Temporary noise may occur when the TV communicates with mobile devices.

The TV Controller is located on the bottom of the TV.

While Watching TV: Press up/down directional buttons to change channel. Press left/right directional buttons to adjust volume.

Control Menu Access: Press the center button (◯) to display the Control menu.

Using the Control Menu: Press directional buttons (up/down/left/right) to move focus to an item (Smart Hub, Settings, Source, Power Off, Return). Press the center button (◯) to select or run the focused item.

Terminate Function: Press and hold the center button (◯) to terminate a running function.

Note: The screen may dim if the protective film on the SAMSUNG logo or the bottom of the TV is not removed. Please remove the protective film.

Make sure the AC power cord is securely plugged into the One Connect box and the wall outlet.

Make sure the wall outlet is working and the power indicator at the bottom of the TV is lit and glowing solid red.

Try pressing the TV Controller button at the bottom of the TV to rule out a remote control problem. If the TV turns on, refer to “The remote control does not work” troubleshooting.

Ensure the connection to the external device is correct and all cables are fully inserted.

Remove and reconnect all cables connected to the TV and external devices. Try new cables if possible.

Confirm the correct input source is selected (Source).

Perform a TV self-diagnosis (Settings > Support > Self Diagnosis > Start Picture Test or Start Sound Test).

If the self-diagnosis test results are normal, reboot the connected devices by unplugging their power cords and plugging them back in. If the issue persists, refer to the connection guide in the external device’s user manual.

If you are not using a cable/satellite box and receive TV signals from an antenna or cable wall connector, run Auto Program (Settings > Broadcasting > Auto Program).

Check if the power indicator at the bottom of the TV blinks when you press the remote’s Power button. If not, replace the remote’s batteries.

Make sure batteries are installed with correct polarity (+/-).

Try pointing the remote directly at the TV from 5 ft. to 6 ft. (1.5-1.8 m) away.

If your TV came with a Samsung Smart Remote (Bluetooth), make sure to pair the remote to the TV (see pairing instructions).

Program the cable box or satellite box remote control to operate the TV. Refer to the cable/satellite box user manual for the SAMSUNG TV code.

The TV is likely in Retail Mode. Change the Usage Mode to Home Mode in the System Manager menu: Settings > General > System Manager > Usage Mode > Home Mode.

Make sure the TV has a network connection (check at Settings > General > Network > Network Status).

Ensure the Wi-Fi password is entered correctly.

Check the distance between the TV and the modem/access point. It should not exceed 50 ft (15.2 m).

Reduce interference by not using or turning off other wireless devices. Verify there are no obstacles between the TV and the modem/access point (Wi-Fi strength can be decreased by appliances, cordless phones, stone walls/fireplaces, etc.).

Contact your Internet Service Provider (ISP) and ask them to reset your network circuit to re-register the MAC addresses of your new modem/access point and the TV.

Change the DNS to 8.8.8.8. Go to Settings > General > Network > Network Status > IP Settings > DNS Setting > Enter manually > DNS Server > enter 8.8.8.8 > OK.

Reset Smart Hub by selecting Settings > Support > Self Diagnosis > Reset Smart Hub.

Samsung Remote Support service offers one-on-one support with a Samsung Technician who can remotely:

Perform a factory reset on your TV

Install recommended firmware updates

1. Call the Samsung service center and ask for remote support.

2. Open the menu on your TV: Settings > Support.

3. Select Remote Management, then read and agree to the service agreements. When the PIN screen appears, provide the PIN number to the technician.

4. The technician will then access your TV.

Eco Sensor adjusts the TV brightness automatically based on the light measured in your room. This helps optimize brightness and reduce power consumption.

To turn this feature off, go to Settings > General > Eco Solution > Ambient Light Detection.

If the screen appears too dark while watching TV in a dark environment, it might be due to the Ambient Light Detection function being active.

The eco sensor is located at the bottom of the TV. Do not block the sensor with any object, as this can decrease picture brightness.

If a sticker was attached to the TV screen, some debris might remain after removal. Clean off the debris before watching TV.

The exterior and screen can get scratched during cleaning. Wipe the exterior and screen carefully using a soft cloth to prevent scratches.

Do not spray water or any liquid directly onto the TV. Liquid entering the product may cause failure, fire, or electric shock.

To clean the screen: Turn off the TV. Gently wipe away smudges and fingerprints on the panel with a micro-fiber cloth.

To clean the body/panel: Use a micro-fiber cloth dampened with a small amount of water. Afterward, remove moisture with a dry cloth.

While cleaning, do not apply strong force to the panel surface as it can cause damage.

Never use flammable liquids (benzene, thinner, etc.) or a cleaning agent.

For stubborn smudges, spray a small amount of screen cleaner on a micro-fiber cloth, then use the cloth to wipe away the smudges.

On One Connect models, the label is attached to the bottom of the One Connect box.

On most models, the label is attached to the back of the TV (On some models, the label is inside the cover terminal).

To connect a LAN cable, use a CAT 7 (*STP type – Shielded Twisted Pair) cable for the connection.

When you shut the TV off, it enters Standby mode, continuing to draw a small amount of power. To decrease power consumption further, unplug the power cord when you don’t intend to use the TV for a long time.
