To set up your SAMSUNG GALAXY S25 EDGE, follow these steps:

1. Install SIM card: Your device uses a nano-SIM card. Place the SIM card into the tray with the gold contacts facing up.

2. Charge your device: Before turning on your device for the first time, charge it fully.

Your device may have a preinstalled SIM card or be compatible with an eSIM. Network indicators for 5G service are based on your service provider’s specifications and network availability.

Your SAMSUNG GALAXY S25 EDGE is powered by a rechargeable battery and includes a USB Type-C 3A cable. Keep the following in mind:

• The wall charger is sold separately. Use only Samsung-approved chargers and cables.

• To avoid injury or damage, do not use incompatible, worn, or damaged batteries, chargers, or cables. Using other charging devices may not be covered under warranty and can cause damage.

• While charging, the device and charger may become hot and stop charging. This is usually normal and does not affect the device’s lifespan. If this happens, disconnect the charger and wait for the device to cool down.

You can wirelessly charge your compatible Samsung devices using your phone. This feature works with most Qi-Certified devices and requires a minimum of 30% battery to share.

1. From Settings, tap Battery > Wireless power sharing.

2. Tap Battery limit and choose a percentage. Once the device you are charging reaches this level, wireless power sharing will automatically turn off.

3. Tap the switch to turn on the charging feature.

4. With your phone face down, place the compatible device on the back of the phone to charge. A notification sound or vibration will occur when charging begins.

1. From a Home screen, touch and hold the screen, then tap Themes.

2. To change themes, tap a theme to preview and download it. Tap Menu > My stuff > Themes to access downloaded themes and tap Apply.

3. To change icons, tap Themes > Icons. Tap an icon set to preview and download it. Tap Menu > My stuff > Icons to access downloaded icons and tap Apply.

Widgets:

1. From a Home screen, touch and hold the screen.

Configure Shooting Mode:

In the Camera app, swipe the screen right or left to change shooting modes.

• Portrait: Adjust the background of your shots for portrait photos.

• Video: Allows the camera to determine the ideal settings for videos.

• More: Choose other modes like Pro, Panorama, Slow motion, etc. Tap Edit to customize the modes in the tray.

• To take a picture while recording, tap the Capture button.

• To temporarily stop recording, tap Pause. To continue, tap Resume.

Editing Pictures:

1. From the Gallery app, tap a picture to open it, then tap Edit.

• Transform: Rotate, flip, crop, or make other changes.

• Decorations: Add text, stickers, or drawn content.

Editing Videos:

1. From the Gallery app, tap a video to open it, then tap Edit.

2. Use tools like Trim to cut segments, Transform to rotate or crop, and Filters to add effects.

Take a screenshot:

• Button method: From any screen, press and release the Side button and Volume down button simultaneously.

• Palm swipe: Swipe the edge of your hand across the screen, from side to side. To enable this, go to Settings > Advanced features > Motions and gestures > Palm swipe to capture.

Record your screen:

1. From Quick Settings, tap Screen recorder.

2. Choose a sound setting and tap Start recording.

3. After a three-second countdown, recording will begin. During recording, you can draw on the screen or include a selfie video.

4. Tap Stop to finish recording. The video will be saved to the Screen recordings album in the Gallery.

From a Home screen, swipe upward to access the Apps list, where you can manage your apps.

• Uninstall or disable apps: From the Apps list, touch and hold an app, and tap Uninstall/Disable. Some preloaded apps can only be disabled, which hides them from the list.

• Search for apps: From the Apps list, tap Search and enter a word to find matching apps and settings.

• Sort apps: Tap More options (three dots) > Sort and choose between Custom order or Alphabetical order.

• Create folders: Touch and hold an app shortcut and drag it on top of another app shortcut to create a folder.

Make a call:

• From the Phone app, enter a number on the keypad and tap the Call button.

• From the Recents tab, tap a contact and then tap the Call button.

• From the Contacts app, swipe a contact to the right to call them.

Answer a call:

• On the incoming call screen, drag the green Answer icon to the right.

Decline a call:

• On the incoming call screen, drag the red Decline icon to the left to reject the call and send it to voicemail.

• You can also drag Send message upward to decline with a text message response.

From the Call screen, you can tap an option to perform various actions:

• Record: Record the call and save it in the Voice Recorder app. The other party will hear a message that the call is being recorded.

• Text call: Use the voice assistant to convert text into voice.

• Add call: Make another call while the current call is in progress (conference call).

• Video call: Use your camera during a call.

• Bluetooth: Switch the audio to a connected Bluetooth device.

• Speaker: Listen to the call using the speakerphone.

• Mute: Turn off your microphone.

• Keypad: Display the keypad to enter numbers.

A factory data reset erases ALL data from your device, including account settings, system and app data, music, photos, and other files. This action is permanent.

Before resetting:

1. Verify that any information you want to keep has been backed up or transferred.

2. Log in to your Google Account to confirm your user name and password, as this may be required to set up the device again due to Google Device Protection.

To reset your device:

1. From Settings, tap General management > Reset > Factory data reset.

2. Tap Reset and follow the prompts to perform the reset.

3. When the device restarts, follow the prompts to set it up again.
