Standalone Mode Thermostat is not part of a network. None All changes (set point, fan, mode, schedule, setup) are made on the device only.
Local Mode Thermostat is part of a network but disconnected from the gateway. Flashing All changes are made on the device only.
Simple Mode Thermostat is connected to a SG888ZB Gateway with an internet connection. Solid All changes can be made on the device or through the SALUS Smart Home application or web portal.

How do I override the temperature schedule on my SALUS ST101ZB?

When the thermostat is following a schedule, the calendar icon will be displayed. You can override this schedule temporarily or permanently.

Temporary Hold:

Simply use the Up or Down arrow keys to change the setpoint. The hand icon will appear next to the calendar icon. This new temperature will be held until the next scheduled time interval begins, at which point the thermostat will resume the schedule and the hand icon will disappear.

Permanent Hold:

The thermostat will hold the new temperature until you manually return it to the schedule by changing the temperature to the scheduled temperature and pressing SELECT.

What are the different fan modes available on the SALUS ST101ZB and what do they do?

Fan Mode Operation
AUTO Fan output is only activated when there is a call for heat or cool. The fan speed (Low, Medium, High) is determined by the TPI/Span algorithm (Parameter P23).
ON The fan runs constantly at the selected speed (Low, Medium, or High), regardless of whether there is a call for heat or cool.
ON-AUTO Fan output is only activated when there is a call for heat or cool, and the speed is determined by the TPI/Span algorithm. When in constant fan output, the fan coil will automatically switch to On Call Fan 2 or 4 hours after the initial call for heat or cool is satisfied (P35).

You can cycle through fan speeds (Low, Medium, High) or modes (AUTO, ON) by pressing the Fan button.

How does AWAY mode work on the SALUS ST101ZB?

AWAY mode is initiated or terminated by a contact state change on the Ts and Tc terminals. This input can be configured as Normally Open or Normally Closed via parameter P16. When the contact state changes, Away timers (P19, P20) are initiated. Once the timers expire, the device enters or exits AWAY mode, indicated by the “person in doorway” icon.

When in AWAY mode, you can select whether the system uses setback temperatures or turns off completely (via parameter P21). If Setback is selected, the setback set points (P17, P18) will be in effect, indicated by the “leaf” icon, overriding any schedules.

P16 Setting Ts/Tc Status P21 = 0 (Setback Mode) P21 = 1 (Off Mode)
1 (Normally Closed) Open Setback Off
Close Inactive Inactive
2 (Normally Open) Open Inactive Inactive
Close Setback Off
