How do I use the INPUT 1 Jack on the StageTuner ST-02?
Connect the instrument that you want to tune with a cable to the INPUT 1 jack. If a cable is connected to this jack, the INPUT 2 jack on the back will deactivate. The INPUT and OUTPUT jacks are mono, and therefore stereo cables (TRS) cannot be connected here.
What is the function of the MODE Button on the StageTuner ST-02?
With the MODE button you can switch between the two tuning functions: Standard and Strobe.
How do I change the calibration range frequency using the CAL Button?
Press the CAL button to change the calibration range frequency. The standard setting is 440 Hz. Each time the CAL button is pressed, the setting changes as follows: 440Hz-441Hz-442Hz-443Hz-444Hz-445Hz-432Hz-435Hz-436Hz-437Hz-438Hz – 439 Hz. The StageTuner ST-02 then automatically switches back to tuning mode. After disconnecting the tuner from the power, the calibration range frequency is reset to the standard setting.
How do I use the BYPASS Button on the StageTuner ST-02?
Use the BYPASS button to switch between the tuning function and a true bypass. When the tuning function is activated, the output is muted and no signal is sent to the OUTPUT jack. In BYPASS MODE the tuning function of the tuner is bypassed and the instrument signal is sent to the OUTPUT jack without being influenced.
How do I use the INPUT 2 Jack on the StageTuner ST-02?
If the StageTuner ST-02 is mounted in a 19″ rack or on a pedalboard, you can also permanently connect your instrument with the INPUT 2 jack on the back. When a cable is connected to the INPUT 1 jack on the front, the INPUT 2 jack is deactivated.
How do I use the OUTPUT Jack on the StageTuner ST-02?
Connect effects pedals, amplifiers, etc. to the OUTPUT jack using a standard instrument cable. The signal sent to both INPUT jacks is routed directly to the OUTPUT jack in BYPASS MODE. Press the BYPASS button to mute the signal at the OUTPUT jack and to switch the StageTuner ST-02 into TUNING mode.
How do I connect power to the StageTuner ST-02?
Connect the included power supply to this socket. Only the included power adapter (9V DC, 1,000 mA (center negative)) may be used.
What is the purpose of the Strain-Relief / Cable Hook on the StageTuner ST-02?
Attach the power adapter cable to this cable hook to prevent accidental disconnection of the power adapter connector.
How do I perform a simple start-up and tune my instrument with the StageTuner ST-02?
Connect the instrument that you want to tune with a cable to the INPUT 1 jack on the front or the INPUT 2 jack on the back of the tuner. Press the BYPASS button to activate the tuner.
Make sure the tuner is powered and the calibration indicator on the display lights up.
Configure the calibration, display mode, and bypass settings as needed.
Play single notes on your instrument.
Tune your instrument by using the arrow lights as orientation. The tuning display shows the note that is closest to the tone being played.
How do I tune my instrument in Standard Mode with the StageTuner ST-02?
Tune your instrument in a way that the two inner arrows light up green and the correct note value is shown in green in the middle. If the target note is sharp, the corresponding blue arrows on the right light up. If the target note is flat, the blue arrows on the left light up.
How do I tune my instrument in Strobe Mode with the StageTuner ST-02?
Tune your instrument in a way that the illumination lasts. If the diodes stream from left to right, the target note is sharp. If the diodes stream from the right to the left, the target note is flat.
How do I select the calibration range frequency on the StageTuner ST-02?
You can set the calibration individually. The standard pitch for tuning corresponds to the middle A on a piano (A4), corresponding to 440 Hz.
Press the CAL button. The current setting is shown on the display (green frequency display is 440 Hz).
Press the CAL button again to change the frequency of the calibration range frequency.
How can the StageTuner ST-02 be mounted?
You can mount the StageTuner ST-02 in any standard 19″ rack by using the included rack-mount adapters. Simply use the supplied screws and a suitable screwdriver to attach the rack-mount adapters to the StageTuner ST-02. The adapters give the tuner the necessary width to be fitted in a 19″ rack.
