The QUIKSILVER ADDICTIV 2.0 watch includes the following functions:

• Dual time

• Date display

Before setting the time, make sure you are in TIME mode and have selected your desired time zone (TIME 1 or TIME 2).

1. Press and hold the “LIGHT” key for 2 seconds to enter setting mode. The words “ADJUST/HOLD” will be displayed, and the hour digits will start flashing.

2. Press the “START/STOP” key to increase the flashing digits or the “SELECT” key to decrease them. Hold the button for fast scrolling.

3. Press the “LIGHT” key to change to the next value. The sequence is: minutes, seconds, year, month, day, 12/24 time display format, and sleep mode ON/OFF.

4. When setting the 12/24 time display format, press “START/STOP” to toggle between the two formats. If 24-hour format is selected, there will be no AM/PM symbols. Press “LIGHT” to confirm.

The QUIKSILVER ADDICTIV 2.0 watch has two time zones. In time mode, press the “START/STOP” key to toggle between the two time zones. When setting the time, you can choose which time zone to adjust. To set a different time in time 2, toggle your desired time zone by pressing the “START/STOP” key. An icon “TIME 2” will appear on the left-hand corner when you select TIME 2.

Sleep mode is a battery-saving feature that turns the display off for a set period. The watch can be turned back on by pressing any button.

1. In the time setting sequence, after setting the 12/24 hour format, the sleep mode ON/OFF option will appear.

2. Press “START/STOP” to toggle sleep mode ON/OFF. Press “LIGHT” to confirm.

3. To adjust the start time for sleep mode, press “START/STOP” to increase the flashing digits or “SELECT” to decrease them. Press “LIGHT” to confirm.

4. The start time can be set from 8:00 PM to 1:00 AM (20:00 to 1:00 in 24-hour mode).

The tide data in your QUIKSILVER ADDICTIV 2.0 is pre-programmed for 15 years based on the GMT standard and does NOT automatically account for Daylight Savings Time (DST) or Summer Time. You will need to manually adjust the tide data when DST begins and ends in your country.

For example, if DST starts and you need to add 1 hour, you can use the “Beach Customization Mode” to add 60 minutes to your selected beach’s tide readings. Don’t forget to remove the 60 minutes when DST ends.

Simply changing the watch’s time does NOT change the tide time data.

1. In Tide Mode, press and hold the “LIGHT” key for 2 seconds. The words “SELECT BEACH” will appear.

2. First, select the continent by pressing the “START/STOP” and “SELECT” keys to choose between America, Europe, Asia Pacific, and Africa. Press “LIGHT” to confirm.

3. Follow the same process to select the country, region, and finally the specific surf spot.

You can select up to 4 favorite beaches for quick access. You can browse between these 4 beaches by pressing the “SELECT” key, and pressing the “START/STOP” key to confirm.

If you cannot find your target beach in the tide library, you can customize one of the pre-set beaches to act as your target beach:

1. Find the name of the beach in the library that is closest to your target beach. Look up the time difference of the first high tide between these two beaches.

2. Go to the beach selection menu and select the closest beach name. When asked if you want to customize the beach, choose “YES”.

3. You can now input the time difference. Press the “START/STOP” key to increase the flashing digits and the “SELECT” key to decrease them. The time adjustment range is +/- 120 minutes. Press the “LIGHT” key to confirm.

The word “STORED” will be displayed, and the beach name will be a combination of the original name and the time difference (e.g., Huntington Beach, CA +20 min). The tide data will now be adjusted based on this time difference.

To see tide data for a future date, go to your selected beach name in the tide data mode and press the “START/STOP” key. The words “+1 day” will be displayed.

The display will show the tide data for the next day, and the tide graph and date on the lower half of the display will update accordingly. To see tide data for the next few days, continue pressing the “START/STOP” key until you reach your desired date.

To set the Heat Timer, go to HEAT TIMER mode:

1. Press and hold the “LIGHT” key for 2 seconds to adjust the heat time. The word “ADJUST” will be displayed.

2. Press the “START/STOP” key to increase the flashing digits or the “SELECT” key to decrease them. Hold the button for fast scrolling. The heat timer can be adjusted from 5 minutes up to 120 minutes.

3. Press the “LIGHT” key to confirm.

In HEAT TIMER mode:

1. Press the “START/STOP” key to start the heat timer.

2. To count the number of waves you catch, press the “START/STOP” key to add a wave to the counter. The wave counter will increase by 1 digit each time you press it.

3. An audio signal will sound at the last 5 minutes and last 30 seconds. A long audio signal will sound at the end of the timer.

To reset the Heat Timer, double-click the “SELECT” key.

1. In alarm mode, press the “SELECT” key to select “ALARM 1”, “ALARM 2”, or “CHIME”.

2. You can toggle the alarm and chime ON/OFF by pressing the “START/STOP” key.

3. Press and hold the “LIGHT” key for 2 seconds. The words “ADJUST/HOLD” will be displayed, and the hour digits will start flashing.

4. Press “START/STOP” to increase the flashing digits or “SELECT” to decrease them. Hold the button for fast scrolling.

5. Press “LIGHT” to move to the next value (minutes). Press the “SELECT” key to confirm.

Note that ALARM 1 is linked to the main time mode (TIME 1) and ALARM 2 is linked to the second time zone (TIME 2).

1. In Chronograph mode, press “START/STOP” to start the chronograph. The lap/split time display begins with 1/100 seconds, then seconds, then minutes.

2. Press “SELECT” to stop the stopwatch. “PAUSE” will be displayed, and the total elapsed time will appear.

3. You can either press “START/STOP” to resume the stopwatch or press and hold the “SELECT” button for 2 seconds to store the chronograph data and go to a next run.

To reset a run, you must go into “Chronograph data” mode and press “LIGHT” for 2 seconds on the run you want to delete.

1. In the chronograph info mode, the display will show the run number and the date of the run. Press the “SELECT” key to browse the runs you want to review.

2. You can also go through the data lap by lap by pressing the “START/STOP” key. After going through the lap time of each lap, it will display the total time and the best lap time.

3. To reset a run, press “LIGHT” for 2 seconds.

To set the countdown timer:

1. Press and hold the “LIGHT” key for 2 seconds. “ADJUST” and “HOLD” will be displayed.

2. Adjust the minutes by pressing “START/STOP” to increase or “SELECT” to decrease the digits. Hold for fast scrolling.

3. Press “LIGHT” to adjust the hour, then press “LIGHT” again to adjust the seconds. You can confirm the setting at any stage by pressing the “MODE” key.

To use the countdown timer:

1. Press the “START/STOP” key to start the timer.

2. Press “START/STOP” to pause, and press it again to resume.

3. You can reset the timer back to your target countdown time by pausing the timer and pressing the “SELECT” key.

4. Once the countdown is complete, it will remind you for 8 seconds and then start counting up. You can pause the count up with “START/STOP”.

If your QUIKSILVER ADDICTIV 2.0 watch freezes during an operation, you can easily unfreeze and reset it by pressing all 4 buttons at the same time for 2 seconds.

1. Never try to open the case or remove its back cover.

2. Avoid exposing the watch to extreme temperatures.

3. To clean the watch and band, use a dry soft cloth or a soft cloth moistened in a solution of water and a mild neutral detergent. Never use volatile agents like benzene or thinner.

4. Store your watch in a dry place when you are not using it.

5. Avoid direct contact with hair liquids, colognes, sun block creams, and other toiletries. If contact occurs, wipe off immediately with a dry soft cloth.

6. Do not fasten the band too tightly. You should be able to insert your finger between the band and your wrist.

Special note: Buttons and/or crowns should not be adjusted while the watch is submerged in water on ANY watch. ATM measures the amount of pressure against the watch, not the depth at which the watch is protected.
