Before installing this speaker, please be sure to read the following instructions:

1. The Pioneer TS-WX300A is a 12 V product. It is intended for use in a vehicle with a 12 V, negative ground type system.

2. Please be sure to read this instruction manual carefully before installing this speaker. If installation requires drilling holes or other modifications to the vehicle, please consult your dealer.

3. Do not install the unit in the following places:

– In a place exposed to direct sunlight or high temperatures.

– In a place with high humidity or where it may get wet.

– In a dusty location.

4. When drilling a hole in the vehicle chassis, confirm there are no pipes, fuel tank, or electrical wiring in the area. Take all precautions to avoid touching and damaging these parts.

5. Do not install this subwoofer in an unstable location or in a place that obstructs driving.

1. Do not install this subwoofer in the passenger compartment at a location where it may become loose and cause injury to a passenger or driver in the event of a sudden stop.

2. Be sure to secure the unit firmly in the vehicle with the installation belt provided.

3. If you notice smoke being emitted, strange noises or smells from the product, turn off the power immediately and consult your dealer or the nearest authorized Pioneer Service Station.

4. Do not attempt to disassemble or modify this unit. Doing so may result in fire, electric shock or other malfunction. Damage or defects resulting from alterations or modifications not authorized in writing by Pioneer are excluded from limited warranty coverage.

5. Keep small items such as screws and tape measures out of the reach of children. Swallowing such items can result in serious injury.

6. The TS-WX300A is a high power amplifier which can generate high temperatures. Be sure to install the subwoofer in a well-ventilated location where it will not come in contact with vehicle interior surfaces.

1. Do not place anything that can get wet near the unit. Do not expose this unit or any speakers to moisture or excess heat.

2. Keep the volume at a moderate level so that you will be able to hear sounds outside the car.

3. Should the fuse blow, please make sure to replace it with a fuse of the rating prescribed for this unit. In case you are unsure of the proper rating, consult your dealer. Use of an improper fuse could cause the unit to malfunction.

4. Before turning on the amplifier, make sure that all electrical and signal connections are correctly made.

5. Do not place any objects on top of the subwoofer. The weight of the object may cause the unit to malfunction.

6. Do not kick or strike the unit. This may cause damage and lead to injury.

7. If the battery lead is not securely connected to the negative terminal, poor contact may result and in extreme cases, could cause fire.

Correctly connect the leads as shown in the connection diagrams.

• Black (Ground) lead: Connect to a clean, paint-free metal location on the vehicle body or chassis. Poor ground connection may cause alternator whine and noise.

• Yellow (Battery) lead: Connect directly to the positive (+) terminal of the car battery. Failure to make a secure connection may result in overheating or fire.

• Blue/white (System remote control) lead: Connect to the system remote control terminal of the car stereo or the accessory power (ACC) terminal. If using a car stereo without a system remote control terminal, connect this lead to the vehicle’s accessory power terminal which is activated by the ignition switch.

Note: If the blue/white lead is connected to the accessory power terminal, the TS-WX300A may turn on or off with the ignition switch, which can cause a popping noise. To avoid this, connect to the car stereo’s system remote control terminal.

If your car stereo is equipped with RCA output jacks, use RCA pin cables (sold separately) to connect the RCA input jacks on the TS-WX300A to the RCA output jacks of your car stereo. This will provide the input signal to the subwoofer.

If your car stereo does not have RCA outputs, you can use the speaker line inputs.

1. Use the provided speaker input wire.

2. Connect the speaker input wire to the speaker leads of the car stereo.

Note: The TS-WX300A automatically turns ON when an input signal is detected (Signal Sensing Turn-on). If this function does not work, connect the blue/white (system remote control) lead to an accessory power terminal that is switched by the ignition key.

① Power indicator
The power indicator lights up when power is turned ON.

② GAIN control
Use this control to adjust the gain of the TS-WX300A. When using the RCA inputs, set the gain switch to the NORMAL position. When using the speaker line inputs, set the gain switch to the HIGH position.

③ FREQUENCY control (LPF)
This control adjusts the cut-off frequency of the low pass filter (LPF). The frequency can be adjusted from 50 Hz to 125 Hz.

④ PHASE switch
Use this switch to select the subwoofer’s phase. You can select either NORMAL or REVERSE. One of the positions may provide a fuller, more powerful bass response, depending on the system and vehicle installation.

⑤ BASS BOOST control
This control allows you to adjust the bass boost level from 0 dB to +12 dB.

After all other connections have been completed, terminate the installation by reconnecting the negative (–) battery lead to the negative (–) terminal of the battery.

The enclosure of this subwoofer is not moisture resistant. Install this product in a location that is dry and well ventilated.

When installing the subwoofer in the luggage or passenger compartment, be sure to secure it firmly. Use the supplied mounting brackets and belt to fasten the subwoofer.

Please note that the center of gravity of the TS-WX300A may be offset from its physical center. Be sure to use both mounting brackets and the belt to properly secure the subwoofer.
