The head unit of the PIONEER DEH-4600BT has the following controls:

After installing your PIONEER DEH-4600BT, turn the ignition switch to ON. “SET UP” will appear on the display. Follow these steps:

1. Turn the M.C. (Multi-Control) dial to select YES, then press the M.C. to confirm. If you select NO, the setup menu will be skipped.

2. LANGUAGE: Turn the M.C. to select the desired language (ENG, РУС, TUR) and press the M.C. to confirm.

3. CLOCK SET: Turn the M.C. to adjust the hour, then press the M.C. to select the minute. Turn the M.C. to adjust the minute, then press the M.C. to confirm.

4. FM STEP: Turn the M.C. to select the FM tuning step (100 kHz or 50 kHz) and press the M.C. to confirm.

5. To finish the setup, turn the M.C. to select YES and press the M.C. to confirm.

To remove the front panel:

1. Press the detach button to release the panel.

2. Push the panel upward and then pull it toward you.

3. Store the detached panel in a protective case.

To re-attach the front panel:

1. Slide the front panel to the left.

2. Press the right side of the front panel until it is firmly seated.

Selecting a band:

Press BAND until the desired band (FM1, FM2, FM3 for FM or MW/LW) is displayed.

Switching preset stations:

Press the or keys. Alternatively, ensure SEEK is set to PCH and press the keys.

Manual tuning (step by step):

Ensure SEEK is set to MAN (manual tuning) and then press the or keys to tune step by step.

Seeking stations:

Press and hold the or keys, then release. The tuner will scan for the next strong station. To cancel, briefly press or again.

To store a station:

1. Tune to the station you want to save.

2. Press and hold down one of the preset tuning buttons (1/∧ to 6/) until the number stops flashing.

To recall a stored station:

1. Press one of the preset tuning buttons (1/∧ to 6/) where the station is stored.

Playing a CD/CD-R/CD-RW:

1. Insert the disc into the disc loading slot with the label side up. Playback will start automatically.

2. To eject the disc, press the eject button.

Playing from a USB storage device:

1. Open the USB port cover.

2. Plug in the USB storage device. The unit will switch to the USB source and start playback.

Controlling playback:

• Select a track: Press or .

• Select a folder: Press 1/ or 2/.

• Fast forward or reverse: Press and hold or .

• Pause/Resume: Press 4/PAUSE.

Press the 6/ button to cycle through the available repeat play ranges.

For CD/CD-R/CD-RW:

• ALL: Repeats all tracks.

• ONE: Repeats the current track.

• FLD: Repeats all tracks in the current folder.

For USB storage device:

• ALL: Repeats all files.

• ONE: Repeats the current file.

• FLD: Repeats all files in the current folder.

The Sound Retriever function enhances compressed audio files like MP3 and WMA to restore rich sound quality.

On the PIONEER DEH-4600BT, press the 3/S.Rtrv button to cycle through the settings:

• 1: Effective for low compression rates.

• 2: Effective for high compression rates.

• OFF: Turns the Sound Retriever off.

Connecting an iPod:

• SUB.W CTRL (Subwoofer Control): Adjust the subwoofer’s cut-off frequency, output level, and slope.

• BASS BOOST: Increase the level of bass (0 to +6).

• HPF SETTING (High Pass Filter): Filters out low frequencies from your main speakers. Adjust the cut-off frequency and slope.

1. Ensure the AUX input setting is turned on. To do this, press the M.C. dial, select SYSTEM, then select AUX and set it to ON.

2. Insert a 3.5 mm stereo mini plug from your auxiliary device into the AUX input jack on the front of the PIONEER DEH-4600BT.

3. Press the SRC/OFF button repeatedly to select AUX as the source.

4. Control playback and volume from your connected auxiliary device. You can adjust the overall volume using the M.C. dial on the head unit.

If the display shows unwanted animations or demonstrations, you can turn off the demo mode with the following steps:

1. Press the M.C. dial to display the main menu.

2. Turn the M.C. to change the menu option and press to select SYSTEM.

3. Turn the M.C. to display DEMO OFF and press to select.

4. Turn the M.C. to switch to YES.

5. Press the M.C. to select and confirm. The demo mode will now be turned off.

There are two common reasons for this issue:

1. A call is in progress: If there is an active call on a Bluetooth-connected cellular phone, the audio will be muted. The sound will resume once the call is terminated.

2. A phone operation is being performed: If a Bluetooth-connected cellular phone is currently being operated (e.g., dialing, accessing contacts), the audio may be paused. Do not use the cellular phone at this time and playback should resume.

If the issue persists, try reconnecting the Bluetooth connection between the PIONEER DEH-4600BT and your phone.

The “AMP ERROR” message indicates that the unit has failed to operate or the speaker connection is incorrect, which has activated the internal protective circuit.

To resolve this, check the speaker connections for shorts or incorrect wiring. If the message does not disappear after switching the vehicle’s engine off and on again, please contact your dealer or an authorized PIONEER Service Station for assistance.

These error codes typically indicate a problem with the disc itself.

• The disc is dirty: Eject the disc and clean it with a soft cloth, wiping from the center outward.

• The disc is scratched: If the disc has significant scratches, it may be unreadable. Try replacing the disc with an undamaged one.

If the error appears with multiple clean, unscratched discs, it may indicate an electrical or mechanical error with the player. In this case, turn the ignition switch OFF and back ON, or switch to a different source and then back to the CD player.

The “CHECK USB” message can appear for a few reasons:

• Short-circuit: The USB connector or cable may have a short-circuit. Check that the USB cable and port are not caught in anything or physically damaged.

• Over-current: The connected USB device is drawing more power than the maximum allowable current. Disconnect the USB device immediately. Turn the ignition switch to OFF, then back to ON, and connect a different, compliant USB storage device.

• iPod charging issue: If an iPod is connected and this message appears, the connection cable may be shorted (e.g., caught in metal objects). Check the cable, then turn the ignition switch OFF and back ON, or disconnect and reconnect the iPod.
