Listen at a moderate volume.

Using headphones at a high volume can impair your hearing. This product can produce sounds in decibel ranges that may cause hearing loss for a normal person, even for exposure less than a minute. The higher decibel ranges are offered for those that may have already experienced some hearing loss.

To establish a safe volume level:

• Set your volume control at a low setting.

• Slowly increase the sound until you can hear it comfortably and clearly, without distortion.

Your portable DVD player plays digital video discs that conform to the universal DVD Video standard. You can play the following discs on the DVD player (including CD-R, CD-RW, DVD±R and DVD±RW):

• DVD-Video

• Video CD

• Audio CD

• MP3 CD

• DivX

• Discs with JPEG files

You can also play DivX, VOB, MP3, or JPEG files that are stored on a USB storage device.

⑧ ►II / OK: Confirms an entry or selection. Starts, pauses or resumes disc play.

⑪ ■ (Stop): Stops disc play.

⑫ DVD MENU: For DVD, accesses or exits disc menu.

⑬ Navigation (▲/▼/◄/►) and Skip (I◄◄ / ►►I): Navigates menus and skips to the previous or next title, chapter, or track.

⑭ Locks: Locks the disc panel.

⑮ VOLUME + / –: Increases or decreases volume.

Note: You can only charge the player when it is in power-off mode. The supplied adaptor is not waterproof and should not be used in wet environments.

1. Find the DC IN jack of the player.

2. Connect the supplied AC adaptor to the player and to the AC outlet.

The charging indicator turns on (red). When the battery is fully charged, the indicator turns off.

Turn off your player before connecting to any additional equipment.

1. Connect the AV cable (not supplied) to the AV OUT jack of the player.

2. Match the color of the AV cables (not supplied) with the jacks on your TV:

• the yellow cable is for the yellow video jack

• the red/white cable is for the red/white audio jacks.

This spill-resistant player survives accidental spillages and meets the IPX4 standard. To guarantee the maximum spill-resistant result, you need to:

1. Close the disc compartment door.

2. Shut the locks.

3. Close the connector cover.

Caution:

• Never immerse the player in water or other liquids.

• Never use the player near a pool or in a shower.

• The supplied adaptor is not waterproof and should be kept from getting wet.

• Never use the supplied AC/DC power adaptor in wet environments.

• Use a soft towel to dry your portable DVD player when it gets wet.

• Never remove the silicon rubber case on the outside of the player.

Press the power button (①) on the player to turn on. The indicator turns on (green).

To turn off the player, press and hold the power button (①). The indicator turns off.

1. Press OPTIONS. The options menu is displayed.

2. Select [Setup] > [General] > [Language].

3. Press ▲ / ▼ to select an option.

4. Press ►II / OK to confirm.

5. Press OPTIONS to exit.

1. Press ◄ OPEN on the player to open the disc compartment.

2. Insert the disc with the label side facing up.

3. Push down to close the disc compartment. Play starts automatically. If not, press ►II / OK.

4. Lock the disc compartment door with the left and right locks to prevent water leaking into the disc compartment.

• If a menu is displayed, select an item, then press ►II / OK to start play.

• To pause, press ►II / OK. Press again to resume play.

• To stop, press ■ twice.

• To select the previous/next item, press I◄◄ or ►►I.

• To start search within video/audio, press and hold I◄◄ or ►►I.

You can play DivX, VOB, MP3, or JPEG files that are stored on a USB storage device.

1. Press OPTIONS and select [Source].

2. Select [USB] from the menu to choose USB mode.

3. Connect the USB device to the player. The content menu is displayed.

4. Select a file, then press ►II / OK. Play starts.

5. To stop play, press ■.

1. During play, press OPTIONS to select some play options.

2. Follow the on-screen instructions.

To maximize your play experience, use the setup menu to fine tune your settings.

1. Press OPTIONS. The options menu is displayed.

2. Select [Setup]. The setup menu is displayed.

3. Use navigation keys to select an option and press ►II / OK to confirm.

4. Press ◄ to go back to the previous menu.

5. Press OPTIONS to exit.

The PHILIPS PD7006B device must be registered in order to play purchased DivX Video-on-Demand (VOD) movies. To obtain your registration code, locate the DivX VOD section in your device setup menu. Access this by pressing OPTIONS, selecting [Setup] > [General] > [DivX (VOD)].

If your player has no power, please check the following:

• Ensure that both plugs of the mains cord are properly connected.

• Ensure that there is power at the AC outlet.

If there is no sound, ensure that the AV cable is connected correctly.

If you experience a distorted picture, try the following steps:

• Clean the disc. With a clean, soft, lint-free cloth, wipe the disc outwards from the center.

• Make sure that the video output format of the disc is compatible with the TV.

• Change the video output format to match your TV or program.

• Note: The LCD is manufactured using high precision technology. You may, however, see tiny black points and/or bright points(red, blue, green) that continuously appear on the LCD. This is a normal result of the manufacturing process and does not indicate a malfunction.

If the player cannot play a disc, please check the following:

• Ensure the disc label is facing upwards.

• Clean the disc. With a clean, soft, lint-free cloth, wipe the disc outwards from the center.

• Check if the disc is defective by trying another disc.

Yes, when the player is in use for a long period of time, its surface will be heated. This is normal.
